In one day, we had 7 delicious street foods all made in the PUNJAB style. I didn’t realize until after we finished eating, but we didn’t eat any meat or chicken at all! It was true vegetarian HEAVEN!

We started out the day with an AMAZING Indian breakfast in two different Indian street food restaurants. The first was the famous Amritsar Kulcha. I’m pretty sure you can get this dish in Delhi, but here in Amritsar is the origin of this stuffed baked bread from HEAVEN. It’s stuffed with a spiced potato mix and onions. It’s sprinkled with a masala spice and then put DEEP into the Tandoori oven and baked. It’s served to you on a plate with Chole chickpea curry and onion chutney.

The next AMAZING Breakfast we had on our street food tour was the Poori and Chole with Potato sabzi. A little similar with the chole, but the potato sabzi was nice and sweet and tangy and very UNIQUE!

Afterwards, we took our TUK TUK around town for some more amazing street foods. We enjoyed a street corner tofu curry served with a pancake and then we went to have a sweet and sour buttermilk lassi.

After this, we went to the LEGENDARY Kesar De Dhaba all vegetarian curry restaurant that uses PURE desi ghee. It was extremely flavourful and just a little spicy. We ordered the VEG thali and it was incredible! The paratha bread was so fluffy and covered in pure desi ghee, absolute HEAVEN! We also ate some dessert, a fruit kulfi ice cream!

After this we went for a couple more street foods in Amritsar. We were exploring the back lanes and found an amazing mango fruit stall! It was dried and covered in a slightly spicy and sour and tangy sauce. There were a lot of flavours in this Indian recipe. It was spicy, sour, tangy, sweet, peppery, acidic, pungent, and made your mouth pucker when you ate it! Very UNIQUE!

After this, we went for our final street food, an ICONIC street food in India, the samosa. It was stuffed with potato, cumin seeds, and spices.

The addresses for these street food restaurants in Amritsar, India, are listed below:

1) Breakfast Street Food Kulcha at Monu Kulcha Hut
Gali No, 10, Loharka Road, Ranjit Vihar, N.R.I. Colony, NRI Colony, Gumtala, Amritsar, Punjab 143001, India
2) Amazing Poori and Chole and desserts at Kanha Sweets
Shop 1, Opposite Bijli Pehalwan Mandir, Lawrence Road, White Avenue, Amritsar
3) Fairly OK veg curry DEEP in the back lanes of Amritsar (honestly can’t remember this address, go for the Kesar De Dhaba instead).
4) Delicious Street Lassi at Ahuja Lassi
Near Hindu College, Amritsar, India
5) BEST Vegetarian Curry in the WORLD @ Kesar De Dhaba, Amritsar
6) Amazing Mango sour and spicy dessert at Aam Papad:
Ram lubhaya and sons
7) Potato Samosa at Raam samosey wala

We started our Indian street food tour in Kolkata by warming up with a nice Indian breakfast, right on the street corner. You can order samosas, potato curry chickpea sabzi, jalebi, and hot tea as well. All of these go so well in the morning and wake you up and get you ready to start your day.

After that amazing Indian street breakfast, we went to try perhaps the most beautiful and photogenic Indian street food lunch stall I've ever seen. It really was like walking up to CURRY HEAVEN! There were so many delicious curries to choose from, and there was a huge pot of CHICKEN biryani right on the street. The Chicken looked so tender and you could see the steam and all the juices were infused into the basmati rice. You could also smell the cardamom in the biryani!

Top 10 Indian Street Foods in Amritsar, India | The BEST INDIAN Street Food in Amritsar

???? WATCH: Punjabi Street Food
???? DAVID’S BEEN HERE SHIRTS & MERCH:

Back in November of 2018, I spent three weeks eating my way through seven incredible cities in India with my friend Sam from Samuel and Audrey. The third city of our trip was Amritsar, a city that’s known for its rich dairy dishes. These are my top 10 Indian street foods in Amritsar, India!

1. Kulcha (Pehalwan Kulcha Shop)

Kulcha is a buttery flatbread that is served with a chickpea dish called chole masala and a tamarind sauce that’s loaded with onions. The ghee, chole, and tamarind together was an epic flavor combination!

2. Paneer Bhurji (Tara Chand)

Paneer Bhurji is a buttery cottage cheese and vegetable dish that is served with two slices of bread, mint chutney, tamarind sauce, and onions. It almost tastes like buttery scrambled eggs!

3. Lassi (Giani Punjabi Lassi)

Lassi is a creamy, yogurt-based drink that you usually have at the end of a meal. The Amritsari version adds a pat of butter and a big dollop of cream, making it a rich, decadent, Indian milkshake!

4. Palak Paneer (Kesar de Dhaba)

Palak Paneer is a popular spinach and cottage cheese dish that’s loaded with fragrant and delicious spices. The 100-year-old recipe at Kesar de Dhaba is out of this world! The combination of cheese, spinach, and spices was heavenly!

5. Maa Ki Dal (Kesar de Dhaba)

Maa Ki Dal is a sweet and earthy lentil dish that is slow-cooked at Kesar de Dhaba for twelve hours in a huge pot. It has a nice layer of fat on top and creamy ghee flavor throughout. It’s my favorite dal in India!

6. Masala Chai (Street Vendor)

There’s always room for chai! Chai is a milky, tea-based drink that is often infused with warming spices like cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon. It’s served piping hot and is the best thing to drink in India!

7. Langar Food (Golden Temple)

The world-famous Golden Temple in Amritsar contains a langar, or free kitchen, that feeds 100,000 people of all faiths, creeds, and backgrounds every day. You can taste the love that the volunteers put into the maa ki dal, chickpea chole, roti, and kheer. It’s one of the most inspiring places in all of India!

8. Amritsari Punjabi Thali (Bharawan Da Dhaba)

The best thali you’ll find in Amritsar is served at Bharawan Da Dhaba, another century-old restaurant in the city. Their sweet and earthy dal, huge chunks of paneer, rich chole, and sweet and spicy mango curry are out of this world!

9. Kebabs (Sarhad Restaurant)

The kebabs at Sarhad Restaurant near the Pakistani border are on another level! Their tender and juicy Chicken Seekh Kebab is so soft, it reminded me of poached chicken. You also must try the Dahi Ka Kebab, which is a fried, potato fritter-like patty with yogurt inside that’s served with phenomenal mint chutney. It’s insanely delicious!

10. Mutton Curry (Sarhad Restaurant)

Last but not least is the mutton curry at Sarhad Restaurant. I am a mutton fiend and have eaten it all over the world, but this one is easily one of the best mutton dishes in the world! The tender and buttery meat is served in a rich and aromatic curry and practically melts in your mouth. It’s so yummy and is the perfect way to cap off my list of the top 10 Indian street foods in Amritsar!

In today’s episode, we are continuing to explore Amritsar’s street food scene, eating tons of AMAZING Punjabi specialties. And later in the episode, we are heading to the Indian / Pakistan border to watch the daily ceremony, and eat some delicious Pakistani food nearby.

We start the day at the Telephone Exchange, an area packed with street food. Our first stop is for Punjabi style poori, which is a deep fried puffy dough served with thick chana masala (chick pea gravy). Just nearby the Telephone Exchange, there was a stall serving a buttery paneer bhurji (scrambled cheese with onions, tomatoes and spices). Scooping the thick paneer chucks into the slice of bread is HEAVEN! Gaurav wanted to show us a famous and unknown stall that serves a RARE winter specialty, jaggery pudding. It was so good we all ate a few!

For lunch, we went to the famous Ashok Kumar Kulche Wala for a big plate of buttery kulcha (flatbread). This stall is packed with locals eating this Punjabi specialty right on the street. Watching them make the kulcha at all different stations was interesting to watch! The kulcha was served with a chutney and chana masala, and it was really SPICY!

Since Amritsar is very close to Pakistan (Wagah border) we decided to go watch the daily flag lowering ceremony between India and Pakistan. It was PACKED with people from all over India and the world! After the ceremony, we visited a restaurant called Sarhad (which translates to “border”) to try some Pakistani dishes. The concept of the restaurant is to promote peace, between India and Pakistan, through the love of food! We ordered chapli kebab (minced mutton kebab) and Lahori murgh (Pakistani style chicken). It was delicious and the owner was kind enough to show us the entire complex, which features Pakistani art pieces, clothing and furniture. If you want to visit any of these places yourself, check the info below:

Indian Street Food - KING of CHICKEN TIKKA!! | Best North Indian Restaurants in Bangkok!!

???? South Indian Food Tour in Bangkok:
???? SUBSCRIBE: Don’t miss new food videos!

BANGKOK, THAILAND - Today we’re going on a tour to eat the best North Indian food, especially Punjab food, in Bangkok, Thailand. We’re going to eat everything from street food in Pahurat to Indian fine dining. Get ready for an ultimate Indian food experience in Bangkok, Thailand!

We’re starting this tour in Pahurat, which is known as Bangkok’s Little India. Surrounding the main Siri Guru Singh Sabha Sikh Temple, you’ll find narrow alleys and lanes with lots of street food and hole in the wall restaurants.

Punjab Sweets ( - Just down the alley outside of India Emporium is Punjab Sweets a 30 year shop selling sweets and Indian food - especially dishes like chole bhatura. It’s a great place to hang out for a morning tea and their chole bhatura is the real highlight. The owner was also really nice and gave us a place of their famous sweets to try. Prices - 100 - 150 THB ($2.99 - $4.48)

Just outside Punjab Sweets is a great stall to try Paan - 10 THB ($0.30)

Samosa Corner ( - I believe it’s one of the only samosa street food stalls in Bangkok that’s been serving delicious samosas and pakoras for 45 years. You don’t want to miss it when you’re in Pahurat. Price - 70 THB ($2.09) for 5

Amritsr ( - Next up on this North Indian food tour in Bangkok we went to Amritsr, specializing in Punjabi cuisine, especially Amritsari dishes. This is the type of restaurant where you’ll find a huge menu of dishes, and you can’t really go wrong. They have a huge section of dishes cooked in the tandoor, and my favorite was the achari tikka, one of the greatest ever. They also have the entire range of North Indian thick and rich curry’s. Highly recommended for some of the best North Indian restaurants in Bangkok. Prices - 200 - 400 THB ($5.97 - $11.95) per dish

Punjab Grill ( - Finally to complete this North Indian food tour in Bangkok, we went to Punjab Grill, a contemporary North Indian restaurant that serves authentic and modern dishes. Their lamb dishes are particularly delicious and I also loved their incredible tandoori prawns. You can order a la carte, and they also offer a tasting menu, as a fine dining experience, and a buffet brunch on Sundays. Prices - 400 - 800 THB ($11.95 - $23.89) per dish

It was an amazing time eating through Bangkok, at some of the best North Indian restaurants!

Welcome to the beginning of our INDIA STREET FOOD series! We are starting the tour in AMRITSAR, the capital of PUNJAB and full of delicious Punjabi cuisine. In this episode we start the day at a famous Indian breakfast stall Giani Tea Stall to try kachori, butter bread and chai (120 INR / 1.69 USD). It was so buttery and delicious on a cold morning. Next, we go to the Golden Temple, Harmandir Sahiba, to marvel at its beauty. It was free to enter, but you must cover your head. Then we head deep into OLD Amritsar to taste its history. Our first stop was at Punjabi restaurant Kesar Da Dhaba, where they serve a Punjabi thali (255 INR / 3.58 USD) as well as some regional desserts, kulfi (70 INR / 0.98 USD) and phirni (50 INR / 0.70 USD).

Exploring through the narrow alleys by rickshaw is a lot of fun and we stopped to have a lassi, something you CANNOT MISS on a trip to INDIA! Gian Di Lassi makes them fresh and has a unique Punjabi flavour, although it is very sweet (120 INR / 1.69 USD). Before leaving Old Amritsar, we wanted to savour some meat! We went to Joginder Dhaba for some buttery chicken curry (350 INR / 4.92 USD), and the chef was nice enough to show us all the different meats he had cooking street side.

We were super full on Indian STREET FOOD but we had to make one more stop at the end of the day. We wanted to eat the famous Punjabi fried fish and went to Makhan Fish and Chicken Corner. This place has been around since 1962!!! We ordered their deliciously thick river fish that is fried to perfection (390 INR / 5.48 USD), chicken tandoor (240 INR / 3.37 USD), mutton tikka (420 INR / 5.90 USD) and of course, butter chicken (350 INR / 4.92 USD). Indian Street Food in Mysore!! CRAZY FOOD TOUR in Mysore, India!

???????? Indian Seafood Heaven in Mangalore:
???? T-shirts:

MYSORE, INDIA - Welcome to the historical city of Mysore (or Mysuru), which is also an Indian food paradise. Today we’re going to eat at some of the best restaurants and taste some must eat street food!

Huge thank you to my friend Ebbin @FoodNTravel - go check out his amazing videos.

Also, thank you to Giri (if you’re in Mysore, check out his restaurant: Burgerie Vegan Eatery), and Joel @JoelsTastyRide

Old Original Hotel Vinayaka Mylari since 1938 ( - We’re starting this Mysore Indian food tour with one of the most famous spots to eat the original Mylari dosa. Unlike many dosas you might imagine that are thin and crispy, the Mylari dosa is thicker and more pancake-like, rich from ghee and butter. It’s something truly magical. When you’re there, you also don’t want to miss their extremely fluffy and tasty Idli.

Hotel Hanumanthu original since 1930 ( - Famous for the mutton pilav, Hotel Hanumanthu has been going strong since 1930. Their pilav is unbelievably fragrant with herbs and green chilies, ginger and garlic. It looks simple, but the flavor is unparalleled. They also have many meaty side dishes like brain masala and mutton chops. The freshness of the meat stands out.

Mysore Pak + Market Tour ( - No one can visit Mysore without trying the legendary and original Mysore Pak at Guru Sweet Mart - a sweet that’s not famous across India. This sweet dessert has a very unique and Royal history.

Usman Dry Gobi ( - Cauliflower is turned into something truly magical and spectacular at Usman Dry Gobi. The coating of chickpea flour and masala makes it extra crispy and the chutney enhances it perfectly.

Annapoorneshwari Fast Food - Another Indian street food you have to try in Mysore is tomato bath, similar to a tomato rice pilav.

We ended this incredible food tour with Masala Puri and a sweet Badam Shake!

*Note - We paid for everything in this video. Thank you to the women at North-Indian Cooking :

Welcome back to our INDIA FOOD series! This time we are taking you to RURAL India, on a delicious food adventure. We start the day in Amritsar (Punjab), and on our way to Delhi, we stopped at 2 villages to experience how locals live in Indian villages and village cooking. The first village we visited (belonging to Gaurav’s family) was located approximately 40km outside of Ludhiana. The locals welcomed us into their home and began cooking us breakfast, radish paratha with chilli. Such a simple recipe made from scratch, yet so tasty. The locals showed us their community vegetable farm, where we picked fresh cauliflower, radish and more. Before leaving, we were given a homemade cup of chai! We were so grateful for the warm welcome by this family.

Not too far away from the village was a rural jaggery factory that used traditional methods and was completely outdoors. Sugarcane stalks were fed into the mechanical press and the sugar juice was boiled down several times until it became a concentrated liquid, which was then cooled and formed into massive chunks of fresh jaggery. It was extremely interesting to watch the entire process (however we cannot guarantee the hygiene of this factory). Even the honey bees were loving all of that sugar!

We continued toward Delhi, and visited another village for a full Indian village feast. The village was located approx. 90km from Ludhiana and 240 km from Delhi. We met with the kind ladies of North-Indian Cooking (go check them out: ) who helped arrange our visit and meal. The village ladies cooked chicken curry, saag (cooked spinach), roti, brinjal curry (eggplant), kadhi and it was all so SPICY! One of the SPICIEST meals we’ve ever had! We spent the afternoon exploring the village, speaking with locals and hanging out with the kids of the village. It was such a wonderful experience, filled with kindness and amazing Indian food. Thank you so much for welcoming us with warm arms!

Also a HUGE thank you to Gaurav for making this video happen!!! Go subscribe to his channel for more Indian street food content! Let us know in the comments what YOU thought looked the most delicious. Make sure to subscribe and stay tuned because in the next episode we are showing something that YOU’VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE in INDIA!
