May 24, 2023 Grady-Clovis, NM | Tornadic Supercell Close Encounter Chase
We did not have radar or signal on account of location and signal boosters. The plan was to drive through RFD and clear the path. Thankfully we either narrowly missed it, and or it was a weaker tornado by the time it came close to us. NWS Albuquerque rated unknown, but believed to be EF1. This was not on purpose and I am still grateful and thankful for Hunter's ability to navigate and get through it. It was a once in a lifetime situation and I am happy to be able to tell the story.
We started in Logan, just northwest of Tucumcari. The storm moved southeast relatively slowly. We took the south route through the canyon and I did not get great footage during that time. It wasn't until we hit north of Grady that I started to get good footage of the event. We ended the night just east of Clovis when the supercell decided to travel further south.

Watching the storm develop out of our hotel window. Took a quick break and the funnel cloud started to drop.

While driving home from a severe thunderstorm in Nebraska on June 17th 2017 we were driving among some beautiful lightning. This is a compilation of some of that lightning, caught by my GoPro dashcam. Some were amazing tree lightning coming through the mammatus fields.

On 29th May 2018, we chased storm cells from south Kansas and into Oklahoma. A stunning supercell thunderstorm developed near Waynoka in Oklahoma.

INSANE LIGHTNING STORM near Exeter, Nebraska: Full Chase
On 16th June 2017, north east Nebraska, USA, was hit by several severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings. We witnessed this amazing severe thunderstorm (which went tornado warned) at sunset and into the night. This storm produced so much lightning. If you look closely, some clips show the glow of the many fire flies too.
None of this footage has been sped up, it is all real time.

Stormchasing video: my first solo trip in Tornado Alley USA June 2016! Just WOW!
Today exactly 4 years ago , 20th of may 2013, my girlfriend and I decided to go on an improvised stormchase because severe weather was predicted in the Okahoma City area and we happened to be nearby. That day Moore was hit by an EF5 tornado. A very tragic event that killed 24 people. We witnessed the birth of the responsible supercell and we saw the aftermath in Moore, leaving such a big impression that it totally got me into stormchasing. In June 2016 I went back to the USA for 2 weeks of stormchasing. It was a real quiet month but nevertheless I saw some mesmerizing severe weather. Too bad that on the most impressive day both my Sony camera and my Gopro let me down, leaving nothing but my Iphone to record with, so not the best video quality. The truck-stop at the intersection that I'm filming from in the last part got hit by a weak tornado and big hail (as you can see in this video ) just after I left.

Storm Chasing 2020: Nebraska Supercell with Wall Cloud
July 29, 2020 - Kearney / Odessa Nebraska
Gotta luv severe weather when it pops close to home and I don't have to travel very far. One concern was my truck. Diagnosed with wheel bearing and axle problems. I wasn't going to go to far.
Right off the bat, wall cloud was forming on the back edge of this supercell. Severe warnings were up, but this storm had other plans. It just decided not to move for about 25 mins and stayed right in place.
Quarter sized hail and I had a few bruises to prove it! Plus we had another lone cell which would eventually get eat'n up by this cell but it sure was purdy to watch!
No nader this day, but structure, hail, and strong winds made this a perfect day for severe weather photography and videography!

5/29/21 - Tornado & Supercell - Campo, CO
On May 29, 2021, an area of storms moved off the higher terrain/mountains in far southern Colorado and organized into a tornadic supercell near Kim and finally produced a brief cone tornado near Campo. This storm slowly tracked southeast into the Oklahoma Panhandle during the overnight hours. #cowx #supercell #tornado
Thunderstorms Seen Around Hollister, CA (6-22-2022) Video Clip Part 3
Seeing stormy, interesting weather during my spontaneous storm chase down in San Benito County… A cluster of t-storms had developed late in the day out of nowhere in the vicinity and contained lots of lightning. This was one of my top favorite lightning events I’ve witnessed in person (with the August 2020 event ranking 1st). Talk about an interesting day for us on just the day after the summer solstice!
*Weather scenario: Lots of lightning strikes were spotted & reported south of the Bay Area Wednesday evening, specifically in the Hollister areas. The thunderstorms were caused by a low-pressure system off the coast pulling monsoonal moisture northward into the region. SoCal got much of the t-storm activity but the center of the low had parked over San Benito County causing a cluster of stationary, reinforcing cells. According to Chief Meteorologist Jeff Ranieri, there was a massive amount of lightning just south of Gilroy. He added it was slowly moving northwest & getting hung up on mountains… “I’ve seen a lot of pics & vids online with lightning & rainbows together & I always dreamed of witnessing it in person & I finally saw it with my own eyes,” Justo (me) told DailyMail.com. “It was a surreal experience & I was filled with excitement & had an indescribable adrenaline rush.” ‘Rainbow lightning’ is quite rare to see as the chances of lightning striking near a rainbow are slim, explained Randall Cerveny, a professor of meteorology at Arizona State University in Tempe. Social media users called the sight a 'Mother Nature's wonder' & said it was 'beautiful & scary' at the same time. The t-storm activity continued well into the overnight hours before finally winding down by early morning. Believe it or not, this event was bigger than the August 2020 lightning event. From June 22-23, the National Lightning Detection Network recorded more than 66,000 strikes, the most in a single day in nearly 5 years. Looks like the monsoon season was starting on a high note this year. Fun weather indeed!

Maryland Strong Electrical Storm May 2, 2019
On May 2, 2019, at 2:30 pm EDT, The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Jessup Maryland area until 6:30 pm EDT. At approximately, 3:55 pm EDT, The Severe Thunderstorm Watch was upgraded to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning while heavy thunderstorms moved into my area. At 4:00 pm EDT, the storm began producing very frequent lightning and loud thunderclaps. Please pardon the coughing and throat clearing, I was sick with a Cold that day. Close lightning strikes: 2:57, 3:35, 4:08, 5:20, 7:42, 9:37, 10:12, 12:10, 13:53.
