Last year I was lucky enough to spend over a month backpacking Nepal, including a three week trek through the Himalayas. I wanted to show the contrast between the sometimes overwhelming chaos in the cities, and the peaceful way of life in the mountains. No video could ever do justice to the beauty of Nepal and its people but hopefully this gives anyone watching a glimpse into this magical country.

Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, is located in a valley surrounded by Himalayan mountains. Durbar Square, at the heart of the old city's mazelike alleys, becomes frenetic during Indra Jatra, a religious festival featuring masked dances. A 2015 earthquake damaged or destroyed many of the city's historic sites. The palace in Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, and Kasthamandap, a wooden Hindu temple, are being rebuilt.

There's a lot to notice when you're here in this #country, and it's not just the beauty of nature and the great #Himalayas.
Our stay here, made us conscious of a lot that needs to be changed in our regular lifestyle.
People here, somewhere deep down have realized the importance of life given to them.
They clearly understand how important time is and what's the correct way of using it.
One day could seem like a week and a week could seem like a month here in Nepal.
That's the ideal life some of use seek for.
Coming from a big city life, we keep complaining about how time is short for everything and how life is passing by in a glimpse.
But is it the city that creates our lives or is it us?
What do we do about our complaints?
Honestly speaking, I don't know and I don't want to think a lot as well, because that's the first step where we all go wrong.

???? HOW TO USE LUTs ON YOUR VIDEOS
You can use LUTs in almost every Video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X or DaVinci Resolve or any other program that supports 3D .cube files. In most programs you can do so by adding a LUT Effect to your clip and then add the .cube LUT to your footage. No matter which camera you are using, my Cinematic LUTs work with almost any mirrorless camera like the Sony A7SII, Canon EOS R, EOS R5 or Panasonic S1.
In this way you can improve your color grading and aesthetics while also saving a lot of time at color grading your videos. Find out more about how LUTs work here:

Using LUTs in Premiere Pro
In Adobe Premiere Pro it's even easier to apply a LUT to your footage. Simply select the clip or adjustment layer in your timeline that you want to add your look to and click on the COLOR TAB in the upper menu. This opens up LUMETRI COLOR on the right side of the program which lets you change all kinds of settings for color grading your videos.
If you want to add a stylized look you should select your .cube LUT in the CREATIVE TAB under LOOK. If you first need to convert your footage to the Rec.709 color space (for example if your footage is shot in a flat picture profile like LOG) you should add your conversion LUT to the BASIC CORRECTION.

Using LUTs in Final Cut Pro X
If you want to use LUTs in Final Cut Pro you need to search for CUSTOM LUT within the Effects tab and drag it over onto your clip or adjustment layer. FCPX does not include native adjustment layers but don't worry. You can download my FREE ADJUSTMENT LAYERS for Final Cut Pro X.
After applying the effect you can find the Custom LUT tab within the Video Inspector as shown above. There you can select your LUT and change the color space as well as the Mix which is basically the intensity of your LUT. For example: If your image is too contrasty, lower the Mix to 70% to decrease the LUT intensity.

Once in not enough — NEPAL | Cinematic Travel Film
Nepal is a landlocked country between the peaks of the Himalayas and the plains of India. It is a mix of jungle, ice and architectural beauty. The country is renowned as the home of some of the world’s highest peaks, including Mount Everest. Go on a jungle walk, visit ancient temples and see wildlife from your perch on the back of an elephant.
Trek through the Himalayan wilderness or climb its peaks on numerous trails for novice and experienced hikers. Mountain bike through Kali Gandaki Valley, one of the world’s deepest gorges. Hone your rock climbing skills on the slopes of Shivapuri Hill. Try whitewater rafting down the country’s major rivers, including Bhote Koshi River and Kali Gandaki River.
Walk the entire length of Nepal by taking the Great Himalaya Trail. Several routes pass through green valleys, subtropical jungle and mountain ranges. Since a 2012 change in the law, anyone wishing to trek in Nepal must be accompanied by at least one government-registered guide.
You can also experience Nepal at a much gentler pace. Go on an elephant safari through Chitwan National Park in south central Nepal and see rhinos and Bengal tigers. Spot Bengal floricans and other endangered species on a bird-watching trip on the plains of Terai. Learn about meditation and Tibetan Buddhism at the Kopan Monastery.
Also worth a visit is Kathmandu Valley at the foot of the Himalayas. Tour the temples, palaces, monuments and bazaars of Kathmandu, the country’s largest city. While there, visit the home of the living goddess and ride a rickshaw through the alleys of the old quarter. Make your way to Swayambhunath, a hilltop religious complex where hundreds of rhesus macaque monkeys roam.
Get around Nepal by taxi, bike or bus. Currently, Nepal has few railway stations and doesn’t allow self-drive cars for tourists. Visitors will need to hire a car and driver.
Nepal is an exciting vacation destination for its mountains, history and culture.

We decided to explore the remote places of Central Nepal. So, we're headed towards Sindhupalchok district and were awestruck by the amazing beauty and Okhreni and Gupha(Gufa) Daada. The culture and lifestyle of the people residing there was incomparable to mess of city life.
Okhreni, a small village that connects to the mystical panchpokhari trail.
Gupha Daada is beautiful hill station that treats you with the beautiful landscape and the ever smiling Himalayan ranges. The first national climate change conference was also held here in this scenic beauty.

This is my view of Nepal.
An explosion of contrasts between the overwhelming chaos in the cities and the peaceful way of life in the mountains. So much love for Nepal and for losing myself there, so Nepal could not be an exception. Now, I know I will be back again one day, to make another and longer trekking through these majestic peaks.
The trip only improved my love of the country.❤️

Ich habe die jetzige Zeit, die man daheim hat, genutzt und altes Video Material von den vergangenen Reisen gesichtet :) Im Februar 2020 waren wir für 2 Wochen in Nepal. Auf unsere Reise waren wir unter anderm in Kathmandu, haben einen Mountain Flight zum Mount Everest im Himalaya gemacht und sind nach Pokhara gefahren. Nepal ist in allem ganz anders als Deutschland. Genießt die Eindrücke :)
