I bought a South African motorcycle! ????????[S5 - Eps. 2]
I've moved to South-Africa and my first mission (of course) is to find myself a motorcycle. Without a motorcycle, I feel like a bird with clipped wings... taking an Uber around the city is just not my thing! I booked a guesthouse in Bryanston, a very posh neighbourhood of Johannesburg, because it's at walking distance from a motorcycle shop called Fire it Up. They sell second hand motorcycles, and that's exactly what I need. It didn't take long before I found myself a new partner in crime to start Season 5 with!!

I bought my next motorcycle
I bought my next motorcycle! My new bike is a 2020 Suzuki V-strom 650 and this video is an introduction to it. I took my first ride on it recently and practiced some drills. I have a lot of practicing and learning to do before I'm competent on this bike but I'm excited about where this motorcycle will take me.

I join Sid and her 2021 Honda Trail125 with a purchase of a vintage 1978 Honda Trail90. These motorcycles are also known as Hunter Cub, Postie, or CT125.
In this video, I share my thoughts on joining a new motorcycle rider on her first motorcycle adventures and present a comparison between the Honda Trail 125 and Honda Trail 90.
After over 30 years of riding, my partner finally has her own bike--that's winning!
I'll drop the trip reports from the Northeast BDR over the next couple of weeks and then circle back to show the preservation of my '78 Trail90. I can't wait to test the limits of this little bike and expect to get in a lot of trouble making a slow bike go fast.

LOS ANGELES TO LAS VEGAS: My new motorcycle & a roadtrip from California to Nevada
The start of an epic adventure - and a roadtrip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Get to know my new motorcycle, visit the best motorcycle workshop in town with me, meet old friends, and join the ride through the Los Angeles Forest all the way to Vegas.
I traveled to the United States of America to stay a few months to visit family and friends - neither having a plan, nor a motorcycle.
Only a few weeks later, this happened: I had bought a motorcycle and was on the road again.
Upon my arrival in the United States I tried to find a company that would rent a motorcycle to me for a month - but either all their bikes were already taken or it was way too expensive. So I started to research the market for used motorcycles and planned to resell it after ending my trip. I didnt find the right fit. So I tried to find a new Yamaha Tenere 700. In the end Yamaha USA who sold me an equipped Tenere 700 from their press fleet. Yes, I bought another Yamaha Tenere 700. And no, I have not yet sold it again…
Get to know my friend Tim, who I met in Uzbekistan on my worldtrip, and who helped me to install my GPS to my new motorcycle. On the search of a connector we visited the coolest motorcycle workshop in town ( Moto Classic Garage Los Angeles ).
The next day started with a big surprise: Tim was riding with me to Las Vegas to visit family and offered to guide the way through the Los Angeles Forest. And my travel partner joined the ride too with his pillion on a rented motorcycle of BMW.

My Epic 5000 Mile Motorcycle Road Trip on a Honda CB500X!
I bought my first motorcycle, a 2018 Honda CB500X and went on a road trip around Western Canada. My route took me from Victoria to Vancouver, up the Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler, east to the Rocky Mountains along the Icefields Parkway into Canmore and Jasper then back through Prince George, Prince Rupert and finally back to Victoria.

In a future video I will cover my review and full mod list that I've done to the bike such as exhaust, rally raid, top speed, off road capabilities, etc. Overall I'm happy with the CB500X as a beginner bike but I definitely feel that there are some limitations to this bike.
I made another video covering the specifics of the route I took. In case anyone is also planning a road trip through BC, this video might be helpful.
