In this vlog, my dad and I meet up with my Egyptian buddy Joe, and we set off to explore Islamic Cairo. But before doing that, we stopped for some haircuts in Downtown Cairo, then made our way over to Al-Azhar Mosque and Khan el Khalili market. We also tried some local Egyptian snacks and of course, one of my favorite Egyptian foods, hammam mahshi, or pigeon stuffed with rice.

Ever since I heard that Hamtramck, Michigan is America's ONLY Muslim-majority town, I knew that I had to visit (because I love Islam!!) And it turned out to be one of the most incredible experiences that I've had within my own country, the United States of America.
My friend @JessicaKobeissi took me around her stomping grounds to introduce me to the culture that she grew up in, and I was completely amazed. So many Lebanese, Iraqis, Yemenis, Bangladeshis, Somalis, Syrians (etc) all living together in this suburban Michigan town called Hamtramck, along with nearby Dearborn.
I went during the very first day of Ramadan - the holiest month in Islam - and I even participated in the fast myself. Watch until the end to see what is breaking the fast (or iftar) at Jessica's friend's house.
The moral of this story is that America is SO BIG and SO DIVERSE, and there are many micro-communities to be discovered. Would you like to see more stories about the different communities in the USA? Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

vanka Trump is proving that she is focusing on her “private life” and “family” — and not on her dad’s third bid for the White House.
The eldest daughter of former president Donald Trump jetted off to Egypt with her husband, Jared Kushner, and their three children mere days after announcing that she would not be participating in her father’s 2024 campaign for a second term.
“A day at the Pyramids! ????,” the former senior adviser, 41, captioned an Instagram carousel Monday containing eight photos of the fivesome riding camels and posing in front of ancient structures.
“So special to explore the beauty of Egypt for the first time with my family!”
Ivanka ditched her usual buttoned-up look for an airy white dress and baby blue tennis shoes, while Kushner — who is also 41 and also served as one of Donald’s senior advisers — went with a white T-shirt, khaki shorts, sneakers and a New York Mets baseball cap.
