Huge MARTIAN Crab!! ???????????? MEXICAN FOOD in Popotla Fishing Village, Mexico!

????100% Real Durian Chips - Order Here:

After an insane Mexican street food tacos tour of Tijuana, we continued south in Baja California to Popotla - a fishing village teeming with every fresh seafood you can imagine - including giant spider crabs, also known as Martian crabs. Before leaving Tijuana we had some amazing seafood breakfast, and continued to eat legendary carne asada, finishing off with an epic crab and seafood meal. #Mexico #MexicanFood #streetfood

Thanks to my friend Jeffrey Merrihue ( for organizing this trip. And to Scott Koenig: and Paco Perez: for arranging this tour. Thanks to Sebastian: for hooking us up in Popotla.

Mariscos El Paisa ( - Tijuana, Mexico - But first, in the morning before leaving Tijuana, we thought it would be a great idea to get started eating some seafood to get warmed up. At Mariscos El Paisa (Mariscos El Conchal del Paisa), their crab tostadas are out of this world, and we had an amazing fresh seafood shellfish cocktail as well. Amazing place to eat when you’re in Tijuana.

Tacos El Yaqui - Perrones Tijuana - Then on the way to Popotla, further south in Baja California, we stopped at Tacos El Yaqui for legendary carne asada. Their huge tacos were amazing.

Mariscos La Estrella ( - Popotla, Mexico - But the real highlight of the day was arriving to Popotla for the amazing seafood. The fishing village community is a full seafood market where you can get anything from the sea. But the big ticket is the spider martian crabs. At Mariscos La Estrella, she fried them up, simple and extremely delicious. When you go to Popotla, go say hi and have a meal at Mariscos La Estrella as she is rebuilding her restaurant!

We begin our Baja California Road Trip crossing the border at San Ysidro (between San Diego and Tijuana) again. On my first trip crossing the US/Mexico border at San Yisidro, just outside of San Diego, I spent a week across the border discovering the best things to do in Tijuana, Mexico.
On this trip, we’re taking Baja a bit further with a Mexican Road Trip from Tijuana to Rosarito, Puerto Nuevo, Ensenada, Valle de Guadalupe, Tecate and Mexicali.
The state of Baja California in Northern Mexico is home to beautiful landscapes and delicious Mexican food, and I’m on a mission to explore the best things to do (and eat) across the region!

On this first episode of Travel Deeper Mexico (Baja Edition), we head south from Tijuana to Rosarito, Mexico where we eat an incredible breakfast at El Nido Restaurant in downtown Rosarito. The main attraction here is Machaca de Venado, or shredded deer meat with quail eggs and freshly made tortillas. El Nido Restaurant has been here since the 1970s and it is a must-stop on your way down through Baja to Ensenada.

Next we made a quick stop at the Playas of Rosarito for a coconut water, and to watch all the hungover souls from a wild weekend and Papas and Beer and the other beachside clubs in Rosarito. Rosarito is very well known to be a party city, and many spring breakers come down to enjoy the bars and clubs here.

While still in Rosarito, we head over to Tacos El Yaqui, one of the most recommended places on this Baja trip. Tacos El Yaqui is also a Rosarito staple, established in the 1980s. The main attraction here (and only thing they sell) is the carne asada tacos on flour tortillas.

Tacos El Yaqui was honestly one of the best tacos I've had in Mexico... and thus, one of the best Mexican Foods I've ever had.

From Rosarito, we drove south down Baja to Puerto Nuevo; said to be the Lobster Capital of Mexico. They actually sell more lobster in Puerto Nuevo than anywhere else in the world.

We visited Ortega's Restaurant overlooking the water, and had a beautiful and delicious spread of sweet, tender lobster! Again, with incredible homemade tortillas, rice, beans, and lots of great salsas. If you ever have the chance, I highly recommend coming to Baja and driving to Puerto Nuevo. The lobster here was incredible!

From Puerto Nuevo, we keep driving south to Ensenada, where we will explore the best things to do in Ensenada on the following day.

Our first day back in Baja California, Mexico was perfect, and I can't wait to share the rest of the episodes from this Mexican road trip with you, as we seek out the best things to do and best Mexican Food in Tijuana, Rosarito, Ensenada, Puerto Nuevo, Ticate, Mexicali, and my personal favorite Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico's wine country!

Stay tuned!

The Original Fish Tacos ???? ???? !! MEXICAN STREET FOOD in Ensenada, Mexico!! ????????

????Watch - Tijuana Street Food (Part 1):
????Thanks to Jeffrey Merrihue:
????100% Real Durian Chips - Order Here:

Welcome to Ensenada, Mexico! Known for its port and cruise ships, Ensenada is a Mexican street food and seafood paradise. In this Mexican street food tour of Ensenada, we started with a moon fish soup, then headed to eat at one of the world’s best street food stalls, ate some smoked fish, and finally finished this tour with the original fish tacos. What a day of Mexican street food in Ensenada! #Ensenada #MexicanFood #streetfood

Thanks to my friend Jeffrey Merrihue ( for organizing this trip. And to Scott Koenig: and Paco Perez: for arranging this tour.

La Opah Del Güero - Moonfish restaurant - On our drive from Tijuana to Ensenada, in Baja California, we stopped just outside Ensenada to eat a unique and rare soup made from moonfish. It was delicious, and incredibly comforting.

La Guerrerense - Sabina Bandera is a culinary hero. Anthony Bourdain called her stall the best street food in the world, and he was right in every way. Her warm personality is what will first invite you in - she’s one of the friendliest ladies in the world. That paired with her unbelievable seafood combinations on top of tostadas and sauces your tongue can’t believe, and you truly have one of the best street food stalls in the world. It was unbelievable, I’m still dreaming about the tostadas at La Guerrerense.

Ahumadora Pacifico - Smoked Fish - Next we stopped around the corner for some Ensenada style smoked fish.

Tacos Fenix - Fish Tacos - Known for serving the original fish tacos, there is no way you want to miss this Mexican street food treasure in Ensenada. It’s simple and delicious and nothing more and nothing less than you want it to be. Fried fish, fresh tortilla, salsas, and cabbage.

Tacos Corona - Fish Tacos - Additionally, across the street, there’s another fish taco stall that some mentioned they loved as well. And so naturally we needed to try both. Tacos Corona were amazing, fresh fish, great tortilla, and again, a myriad of delicious salsas.

And that completes this amazing Mexican street food tour of Ensenada, it was an incredible day or dreamworthy tacos and tostadas.

Mexican Street Food in Tijuana ???????? INSANE TACOS TOUR IN MEXICO ????(Part 2)

????Watch - Tijuana Street Food (Part 1):
????Thanks to Jeffrey Merrihue:
????100% Real Durian Chips - Order Here:

Ultimate Mexican street food tour of Tijuana, Mexico (Part 2). This was actually the same day as Part 1, but there were so many tacos, I had to split the video in two. We continued this epic Mexican street food tour with seafood tacos, the original Caesar’s salad, carne asada, and the fastest taco maker in the world! #Tijuana #MexicanFood #streetfood

Thanks to my friend Jeffrey Merrihue ( for arranging this tour. When you’re in Santa Monica, go eat at his restaurant, Heroic Italian ( where you’ll find the best sandwich. Also, thanks to Scott Koenig: for setting this tour up.

Mariscos el Mazateño - Shrimp Enchilado - This place was absolutely amazing - and I knew it was going to be good when we walked in in the middle of the afternoon and it was packed. We had a couple different tacos, including the marlin with octopus, but the winner was the shrimp enchilado, a huge taco stuffed with spiced shrimp and cheese.

Caesar's Hotel - Original Caesar’s salad - Although this doesn’t fit in the Mexican street food theme, there was no way we could visit Tijuana without trying the original Caesar’s salad - where Caesar Cardini invented it. It was awesome, to see the entire process made before you and it was everything it needed to be, no more and no less. Must eat when you’re in Tijuana, Mexico.

Tacos El Vaquero - Carne Asada - This small stall late at night in Tijuana is a winner - their Sonoran style carne asada is out of this world. They grill up steaks of your choice, slice them up, into tortillas, and you have a choice of salsa. Absolutely stunning.

Tacos Fitos - Tijuana, Mexico - Finally, this is the tacos tall in Tijuana that we missed in the morning the day before because they had already sold out. But we came back the next morning. Not only are their Tijuana red oil birria tacos the best I’ve ever had, but their taco master is by far the fastest taco maker I’ve ever seen. Unbelievable, you will have dreams about Tacos Fitos.

That wraps up this insane ultimate Mexican street food tacos tour of Tijuana, Mexico. Thank you for watching!

If you haven’t already seen The Ultimate Miami Food Tour, Part 1, you can watch it here: #Miami #Crab #MiamiFood

Now, Part 2:

We pick up this Ultimate Miami Food Tour in Little Havana.

Azucar Ice Cream Company - After the giant Cuban sandwich and Cuban burger, we headed to Azucar Ice Cream Company, serving Cuban inspired ice cream with a variety of unique and delicious flavors. Great place, great staff, and fun place to eat ice cream.

Budare Bistro - Venezuelan Restaurant - Next, David took me to eat at one of his favorite Venezuelan restaurants in Miami, and it was extraordinary. We ordered the Cachapa, Tequenos, and the Arepa Budare. Food was fantastic! Prices - $5 - $10 per dish

Garcia's Seafood Grille - Finally, to wrap up this ultimate Miami food tour, we went to Garcia's Seafood Grille, which is both a restaurant and seafood market, and it was probably the highlight of this entire food tour with David. Garcia’s is a family run seafood business and they serve without a doubt some of the best and freshest local seafood in all of Miami. They have a host of different seafoods, but their real highlight are their Florida stone crab claws and their Florida spiny lobster. They were cooked perfectly, nothing covering the freshness of the natural flavor. It was my first time to try Florida stone crabs, a delicacy in Florida, and a crab worth traveling for just to eat - a pillar of the Florida culinary world. Thank you to Garcia's Seafood Grille for the amazing meal!

And that completes this ultimate Miami Food Tour! Miami is diverse, people are cool, and you’ll find a huge variety of delicious food.

Huge Caribbean KING CRAB ???? RUNDOWN!! Jamaican Seafood Tour - Jamaica! ????????

????Thanks to Matt Robinson:
????Watch - Kingston Street Food Tour:
????100% Real Durian Chips - Order Here:

Jamaican Seafood - Today was dedicated to Jamaican seafood - and what a another memorable day in Jamaica it was. We scored big with some amazing fresh Caribbean King Crab, which I didn’t even know as a thing - and we had an amazing day of fresh Jamaican food!

Smokeez by the sea ( - Our first stop for the day was in Montego Bay, Jamaica, at a laid back chill out spot called Smokeez by the sea. While we were there, a fisherman came in with his fresh catch including barracuda. So along with the pepper janga (crayfish) and some jerk octopus, we also got a taste of ultra fresh escovitch barracuda. Amazing place, great hospitality.

Far Out Fish Hut - North Coast, Jamaica - Next up we started driving down the North Coast of Jamaica, and made a quick stop at Far Out Fish Hut to eat a simple dish of fish tea. It was mainly fish bones and a few spices boiled until comforting and delicious. It’s the way to get started on a Jamaican seafood feast.

Rock Wharf Luminous Lagoon ( - But our main goal for the way was to get the seafood, fish, lobsters which Matt brought, and the Caribbean king crab we bought, with us to the beautiful Rock Wharf in Falmouth, Jamaica.

They cooked an amazing array of Jamaican food for us, including Escovitch fish, Jamaican Steamed Fish, Bammy, mahi mahi in an amazing marinade, and finally King crab rundown! What a dish and what an outstanding place.

For our final activity of the day, we took a boat in the luminous lagoon once it was dark - but unfortunately due to weather conditions, we weren’t able to see the luminosity of the lagoon. Typically the luminous lagoon illuminates with bright colors. Unfortunately we were unlucky tonight. Next time!!

It was another incredible day of delicious Jamaican food in Jamaica. Watch the entire Jamaican food series here:

ENSENADA, MEXICO Travel Guide ???????? The Birthplace of Fish Tacos & Margaritas!

???? WATCH NEXT: Best Birria in San Diego
???? JOIN THE COMMUNITY:
???? MERCH & GOODIES:
???? PLEASE SUBSCRIBE:

Ensenada, Mexico, one of the first settlements in the Californias (US State and Mexican States of Baja California), has since emerged as a popular cruise ship destination and jump off point to Mexico’s wine region; Valle de Guadalupe, which we will visit in the next episode.

Ensenada is a laid-back coastal city that is famous for delicious seafood. It is also home to the original fish taco, and birthplace of the Margarita; Two reasons alone to take a tour of Ensenada!

After crossing the US/Mexico border at San Ysidro in San Diego to Tijuana on our first day, and taking our Baja Road Trip south, we stopped in Rosarito for breakfast and tacos. Then, Puerto Nuevo for lobster before arriving to our Airbnb in Ensenada last night.

Today, we set out to find the best things to do in Ensenada, and as per usual, it all begins with food.

There are several taco stands that lay claim to the original Baja-style fish taco, but general consensus grants Tacos Fénix the distinct honor of being first, with the same family still serving up this street treat since it opened in 1970.

The fish tacos here are delicious, and so are the shrimp tacos. They are all battered and fried right in front of you, and then you get to pick out your own toppings.

I highly recommend stopping at Tacos Fénix on your Ensenada tour for breakfast (or lunch).

Next, we took a walking tour of Ensenada and visited a popular church and the main downtown area. One recommendation that many of you had on Instagram as the best things to do in Ensenada was to visit Mercado Negro (Black Market), which is the local fish market here.

It was small and smelled like fish (obviously), but it was cool to see where our seafood was coming from.

From Mercado Negro, we continued our food tour of Ensenada to Sabinas Restaurant. Now, this place is actually famous because of a street cart that is usually parked outside called “La Guerrerense.” A Mexican food street cart that is famous for its seafood tostadas.

These Mexican tostadas were smothered with ceviche, avocados, homemade salsas, and both raw and cooked seafood. They are full of flavor and very original. I can see why Sabina has become so famous, and La Guerrerense is a must-visit while visiting Ensenada.

In the afternoon, we set out on a mission to discover the birthplace of the Margarita. In Ensenada, there are two bars that claim to be the original Margarita.

First, Bar Andaluz, at the Riviera Cultural Center in downtown Ensenada claims that a bartender here was given the task of creating a new signature cocktail by then owner Margarita King.

Second, Cantina Hussong’s claims that a bartender was creating new Tequila cocktails when the daughter of German Ambassador (Margarita) came in and tried the cocktail. She liked it and he named it after her.

Both very good stories, both very good margaritas!

If you’re looking for the best things to do in Ensenada, I highly recommend following our tour for the day!

Next up, we head to Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico’s wine region, before heading back north to Tecate and Mexicali!

Stay tuned!!

24 hrs in Tijuana. Street food

In this video, I will show the best way to eat huge martial crabs, prepare an original Caesars salad and try street food in Tijuana and Popotla. You will be introduced to the amazing Tijuana seaside and see 1st-hand how the wall between the US and Mexico looks.
#Tijuana#MexicanFood#streetfood

Small splashes of waves drift in the air, sea cabbage on the sand, fishermen … eventually I reached the wall between the US and Mexico.

There are tons of graffiti, inscriptions, dilapidated and abandoned buildings and lots in this part of Tijuana. Nobody has invested to rebuild this area. A big contrast from the areas a bit more south where you’ll find much better buildings.

I stayed in an Airbnb right on the ocean and fell asleep to the sound of waves lapping up onto the shore and woke up at 6 am to run along the beach until I got to the border wall between the US and Mexico. You will see a lot of people walking with their dogs and people fishing. Then at 9 am police come and kick everybody out, because of the COVID situation.

30 minutes driving south from Tijuana along the scenic seaside route #1, there is a café in Popotla, a small fishing village called “Mariscos las Gaviotas” with private access to the beach. You can buy any fresh seafood you want (9-15) at the outdoor market there and bring it to any café. They will cook it for you. It's around 10USD for 1 kg. Yes, you can pay with USD there.

When it comes to crabs...they fry them in oil, and it takes around 30 minutes. The crab has a little of a sweet taste.

It was a decent enough place to eat, but the best seafood was still to come.

For me, the best grill I have ever tried in my life was made by a chef in a café which is next to the famous “La Tia”. They are the only place I found who don’t use foil and they grill with coals. I had the lobster with grilled fish there. Sited on a lovely terrace, we were able to eat our meal as well as feed the gulls if we wished!

After lunch, it’s a short 15 minutes drive south to Los Arenales to enjoy an ATV outride. It costs around 25 USD for 30 minutes. It is such a great adventure. I didn’t know how to drive an ATV and the instructor had to take me to the dunes and then show me how to ride. It feels like roller coaster ????. I screamed a lot.

On your way back to Tijuana, don’t miss out on one place very popular with the locals. It’s called “La Ola”. It’s very clean and the seafood is so fresh. Not only that, but it’s also super cheap. Their tacos start from 40 pesos and you can sit inside while you enjoy them.

There is also another place on the street called “El Conchal” you might want to try out. Try their tostada (dry tortilla) with crab and scallop, and I highly recommend buying their home-made black sauce to bring home. It’s soooo delicious!

The safest area of Tijuana is Zona Rio where you can find many kinds of world-famous Hotels chains, casinos and in the Holiday Inn you will even find the hot springs in the spa.

In the evening...head down to Avenida Revolución to find where the Caesar salad was made in the aptly named Caesars restaurant in Tijuana. It is delicious, indeed!. Probably because of the different taste of anchovies and delicious olive oil.

At Avenida Revolucion, there are many bars with live music, private pubs (I recommend Madueño brewery) and ...the token wandering madmen too. That can be scary so be careful!

Well, that concludes this episode on the sights and sounds of Tijuana. I hope I helped you to plan your next trip.

PUERTO POPOTLA MEXICO!! 4K VR Style!

This is a Compilation Video of many times I was in Puerto Popotla Mexico, this is one of my Favorite places, I used to hang out there all the time, so this Video was a little difficult for me to make. I had the Videos sitting on this Hard Drive since I filmed them, but they were filmed in 4K and up until now I didn't have access to a Computer that I could use to Process them. That's why it took so long to get done. This place has changed a lot since Covid that's why I put some of the Videos I had posted on Facebook, at the end of this Video to show you what it used to be like.
