Shower Inside a Sprinter 144 Van | Convertible from Counter to Shower Tiny Home Living
Very common that people will walk into my van and without knowing that the shower is hiding in plain sight. It was a happy accident as I had all intention to having a floor to ceiling shower but with the added window I came up with something else. After some trail and error I bring you my shower inside my Sprinter 144. Van Life Tech recycling shower is not installed yet, but coming soon!!

We have finally got a little closer to completely finishing the Rain shower in our van.
After having to make the changes and to add lines for the hot and cold water, we covered up the wall and started to make the shower look pretty with vinyl flooring... yes that's correct we put vinyl flooring on our walls!
With the 2 tone in the shower put in and stuck on the walls, we also started on the couch/seating area.

The Pros and Cons of Log Cabins
A log cabin, is a log cabin, is a log cabin. Although charming, log cabins have a number of drawbacks that should be taken into consideration before building one. However, there is a way to get that log cabin feel without going all-in.
Log and timber styles can be mixed however! Learn about how to mix both:
Drawbacks: shrinkage, rustic inflexibility, constraints in home design, overal cost & labor, maintenance and chinking.
Logs themselves can be used in building styles using a hybrid approach that get around the drawbacks while still giving that rustic feel. This is accomplished through more of a hybrid timber framing approach. Listen as Bert gives ideas and insight on building a hybrid timber frame home using logs to give that rustic appeal.

A-Frame Cabin Build - FLOORING AND FRAMING with home-sawn lumber
Building with home-sawn lumber is something that feels like a privilege. This wood is absolutely beautiful. However, there are many more quirks in the building process that we are adjusting to as we build. The A-frame cabin is coming along nicely. We have also decided to add 2 foot walls to the build as that will give us a huge boost in space. This tiny cabin is going to be absolutely beautiful!
I camp and hike in and around the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. I'm also building and enjoying an off- grid cabin in the woods with my partner Cory and the kiddos Nora and Ethan! I love sharing the journey with you!

Kitchen Cabinet & Drawer Latches for our Skoolie!
We ended up using two different types of latches for our kitchen cupboards and drawers. On the cupboard doors we used magnetic latches rated at 25 pounds pull. For the drawers we used a ball-bearing style latch in hopes they would be even stronger than the magnetic latches! We'll be sure to let you know how they work as soon as we load up and start driving this thing around!

Hi! We are Mike & Kerry, the proud owners of a 1992 Bluebird rear engine (pusher), 40' school bus! We named her Bussy McBusface in honor of the RRS Boaty McBoatface travesty!
We're building a Tiny-Home-in-a-Bus for full-time living in the most adventure-friendly way possible! In other words, Bussy will not be parked in our driveway, waiting for weekend or holiday getaways... when we finish the build, we'll be packing everything we're keeping into the bus and driving away from this old house forever!
We plan to be boondocking the majority of the time, so you'll see that reflected in our choices throughout the build (100 gallon water tank, composting toilet, solar power system, etc).
