In 2018 we left the UK to sail around the world slowly. After Brexit, a Pandemic and major heart surgery we are still sailing, documenting our travels and showing you what we have learned so far.
We are hoping to complete our journey, and travel right around the world even if we have had a few setbacks along the way. We will continue at our own pace and that may be fast or slow. We want to be sure not to miss anything and have stories to tell our grandchildren when we are old and grey.

RV Heater Install! A Dickinson P-9000 for My Little Camper
In Part 2 of my new heater videos, I install and test a new Dickinson P-9000 Direct Vent Propane Heater in my little fiberglass camper. Although built for boats, I managed to make it fit my trailer and found the perfect spot for it too. I also find a new use for spaghetti!

(English below)????????Nos premiers jours en Afrique, en Tanzanie, nous émerveillent. Mais on doit aussi réparer ce problème moteur qui nous enquiquine depuis 2 ans: échappement qui rouille, eau qui rentre, prise d'air qui empêche le moteur de démarrer ( d'où notre arrivée à la voile après nos 25 jours en mer ????). Pour ceux qui aiment le côté technique, on vous explique du mieux que l'on peut notre fameux problème!
On commence aussi le refit de la cabine avant... le début de notre gros refit que nous ferons en Afrique du Sud! La Tanzanie se dévoile tranquillement à nous... ses coutumes, ses modes de vie... On adore. La semaine prochaine, on vous emmène se balader dans les terres, dans la vraie savane africaine.

But we also have to repair this engine problem that has been bothering us for 2 years: rusting exhaust, water coming in, air intake that prevents the engine from starting (hence our arrival at sail after our 25 days at sea ????) . For those who like the technical side, we explain to you as best we can our famous problem!
We are also starting the refit of the front cabin ... the start of our big refit that we will do in South Africa! Tanzania is revealing itself to us slowly ... Its customs, its ways of living... We really love it. Next week, we'll take you inland, in the real African savannah.

Mistress is designed by one of the highly respected Dutch naval architects E.G. Van de Stadt, a Caribbean design, length 40ft/12m, beam 13ft/3.9m, draft 5ft/1.5m. Her hull and decks are built in mild steel and I have built her on my own and am also fitting her out on my own. I have not built any type of boat before Mistress.

However, the work has re-started, thankfully, and I am on an exciting journey to finish Mistress and then go on my sailing adventures,...
