ARRIVING AT LONDON HEATHROW Terminal 5 - London Heathrow Airport United Kingdom - Travel video

Arriving at London Heathrow Airport (LHR). If this is your first visit to London Heathrow Terminal 5 you should find this video helpful for getting an idea of the airport procedures when you arrive at London Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom. This London Heathrow Airport footage is filmed from the disembarkation of our flight (a British Airways flight from Copenhagen), through the walk to arrivals area where we eventually purchase our London Underground rail tickets to London.

Our walk begins where we have just disembarked our plane and are walking through Heathrow Airport´s Terminal 5 towards Immigration / Passport Control. To get to the Heathrow Immigration / Passport Control area we take an Airport Train Shuttle. The Passport Control process at Heathrow Airport was very quick as we used the automated Passport scanner (we are EU citizens). After clearing Immigration we start to make our way to the Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 Baggage Claim area. We quickly claim our luggage and then make our way through the airport Customs area where you choose the red entrance if you have something to declare or the green entrance if you have nothing to declare. Once we have passed Heathrow Airports Customs we find our selves in the Heathrow Airport arrivals. The arrivals area is full of people / chauffeurs waiting to pick up passengers. We have decided that we will make our way into London City with the London Underground (The Tube) and therefore the process of where to buy tickets for the train from Heathrow Airport to London is covered too. In our case we were advised to buy the London Oyster Travel Card, and we give viewers a brief explanation of what that is.

All in all we found that Arriving at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 was easy and the airport signs were very good in pointing us in the right direction. The only issue / confusing part was whether or not we were supposed to use the Airport Shuttle transfer to get to the Immigration area or whether the Heathrow Airport Shuttle Train was only for passengers who had a transfer flight from Heathrow Airport (the train was for both arriving and transferring passengers).

Heathrow Terminal 5, Heathrow Terminal 5 is an airport terminal at Heathrow Airport, the main airport serving London. Opened in 2008, the main building in the complex is the largest free-standing structure in the United Kingdom. Terminal 5 is currently used exclusively as one of the three global hubs of International Airlines Group, served by British Airways and Iberia... Prior to 2012, the terminal was used solely by British Airways... The terminal was designed to handle 35 million passengers a year. In 2015, Terminal 5 handled 33.1 million passengers on 215,716 flights; 44.6% of the airport's passengers on 46.6% of its flights with an average of 153 passengers per flight. It was the busiest terminal at the airport, measured both by passenger numbers and flight movements...

What to expect arriving at London #Heathrow Airport #LHR ⁴ᴷ⁶⁰

With the UK introducing new travel restrictions, I was curious how busy London Heathrow (LHR) would be. Media reports had suggested there was 3 and 4 hours queues as everyone raced home to beat the hotel quarantines and new testing requirements.

London Airport Heathrow International Arrival E-gates, Walk Through and London Airport Taxi - LHR

London Airport Heathrow International Arrival E-gates, Walk Through and London Airport Taxi
We arrived at London Heathrow LHR airport in the morning. Immigration passport e-gates and luggage pick up was quick and easy process. There was news couple days ago about issue with border passport e-gates, but it appears - they completely solved the problem.
Heathrow Airport called London Airport until 1966 and now known as London Heathrow LHR is the main international airport serving London, England. It is the largest of the six international airports in the London airport system (the others being Gatwick, City, Luton, Stansted and Southend). The airport is owned and operated by Heathrow Airport Holdings. In 2022, it was the second-busiest airport in the world by international passenger traffic and the second busiest airport in Europe.

This is an international arrival from Naples, Italy into London Heathrow airport. We arrived in terminal 2 and had to transfer to Terminal 5 but after that had to take a tram to B Gates. This is a large airport. Good luck and enjoy London Heathrow Airport. We ultimately are headed to Boston. London Heathrow is one of the busiest airports in the world.

I ride the new Elizabeth Underground Line from Kings Cross via Farringdon to Terminal 3 and compare it to the Heathrow Express and the Piccadilly Line services from London to Heathrow.

Filmed on a Saturday morning so some of the numbers may change if you're traveling during the week, but this video shows you what you get if you travel on the Elizabeth Line from London and how much you'd be likely to pay.
