If you're planning a trip to Paris and want to see the famous Louvre Museum, then be sure to watch this video! We'll show you the secret entrance to the Louvre Museum and four other ways to get inside the museum! We will help you save tons of time trying to find the proper entrance for your visit to the Louvre. Did you know there are multiple lines to choose from outside the Pyramid - several for timed tickets purchased online and a completely different line for those that haven't purchased tickets yet (which we do not recommend!) There's also only 2 entrances that work well for those needing handicap access. There's only 1 entrance for those with group/tour tickets. And there's an entrance that's easy to access from the metro which is the perfect entrance for bad weather!

Tips for Visiting the Louvre in Paris
THE LOUVRE IS CLOSED ON TUESDAYS.
Heading to the Louvre Museum in Paris, France can be an incredible experience. In order for that to happen make sure you follow a few easy tips to have an awesome artistic time.
1. Order your tickets online to skip the lines
2. Pick up a map to make it easier to find what you are looking for
3. Make a plan so you know what you want to see (and yes you should see more than just the Mona Lisa, Winged Victory and Venus di Milo, there is much more.
4. Wear comfortable shoes, the Louvre is huge.
5. Set up a meeting point in case you get separated from your group
6. Have a snack for nibbling while you search the collection
7. Don't get in trouble with the security guards, so don't use flash photography and do not touch the works of art.

Unless you are just looking for the full tourist vibe of standing in the long line outside the Louvre in Paris, I highly recommend following my guide here and walk right in. If waiting in the hours long line is an experience you would like just to say you did it, you have that option too. I hope this helps you out on your trip to the Louvre in Paris.
I used the Get Your Guide app. There are other companies out there that allow you to buy tickets in advance. Get Your Guide works pretty good. Just get your tickets to the Louvre in advance and select your time you wish to enter the museum, and walk right in.

The Perfect Day in Paris - Visiting the Louvre in 2021
When we decided to head to Paris from Prague, we knew it was going to be an extraordinarily long day full of train rides. But we did not know that a train cancellation, an extra train ride and four extra hours of train rides would be thrown our way. That entire experience made us extra grateful that we will no longer be taking trains for a while (kind of). And it made us even more grateful to be reminded that--hey! we were in Paris! And when in Paris, you have to see the Louvre. We carved out a full day to see the Louvre and still, we did not see it all. Even with all the crowds, restrictions, and having to wear a mask the entire time--it was so worth it.
What made our first real day in Paris extra magical was getting to see some amazing friends from home. It made us almost completely forget that we had a rough yesterday. And it made us almost completely forget that we have a long walk ahead of us...almost. :)
