IS IT PANIC BUYING? MAKING SURE I WILL BE EQUIPPED TO FIGHT CORONAVIRUS.

I am taking the Coronavirus seriously as it continously spreading far and beyond. At this time, I realized that masks and vit C are running out of stocks here in Bahrain where we live. I was told expatriates are buying in large quantities sending it to their home countries especially from Far East.

Bats and the novel coronavirus

The outbreak of the novel coronavirus in Wuhan, China has infected nearly 10,000 people and killed over 200 others. It has been reported that the virus likely originated in bats but no bats were sold at the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market where the outbreak started.
In 2018, Kerala confirmed its first case of Nipah virus. Bats have been on the radar of scientists ever since.
They serve as hosts for numerous viruses including Ebola virus and coronaviruses such as severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) and novel coronavirus. Last year, researchers from Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore used Melaka virus, MERS coronavirus and influenza A virus and tested the responses of bats, mice and humans to these viruses.
While inflammation was high in the case of humans and mice, it was significantly reduced in bats' immune cells. The activation of an important protein, NLRP3, reduced inflammation significantly in bats. Emerging zoonotic viruses (bat‐related or not) have often led to extermination of bats. However, they perform several ecosystem services like pollination, seed dispersal agricultural pest suppression, massive mosquito control and guano.

GARDENS BY THE BAY in Singapore, The Lion City

We were in Singapore for five days, one was spent at the airport and three were spent at Gardens by the Bay and it still wasn't enough. What a lovely bit of calm in the midst of a bustling city.

Besides walking around the grounds, we spent sunset on the Super Tree Grove Observatory, hung out in the cloud forest and smelled plenty of blooms in the Flower Dome. What a delightful place to spend some time.

“Let’s go” has pretty much been our life’s motto since we met nearly 25 years ago. We met in New York, moved to San Diego together, and married in Lake Tahoe – all within five months. When you know, you know – you know what we mean?

Now, after raising two adventure-seeking boys, we are ready to get out and explore some more. Our children have begun their lives and now it’s time to begin the second-half of ours.

We wanted a challenge and something fun, so we are starting an adventure of a lifetime. We’re calling it #60×60. Our plan is to travel to 60 countries by the time Kim turns 60 (that’s in 6 years by the way).

Why I Don't Like This Country ????????

While I constantly try to find the positives in every place I visit, there are few places that I just simply didn't enjoy.

The country of Brunei is one of them.

I went to Brunei back in 2014, three years before I made videos, but my negative experiences in the country have stuck in my mind ever since. That, combined with its absurd human rights laws such as stoning to death LGBT members, I was pushed to make this video.

Have you ever visited any countries that you didn't enjoy? Please share below, I'm curious to know.

Chinese people's reaction on Wuhan Virus Outbreak

In this video, we talked about what Chinese people said about the Wuhan coronavirus on their social media.

By the time I finished the video, there were around 900 people diagnosed with the wuhan Virus. With 24hours, now the number is around 1400. This is a more advanced Chinese video, if you have a hard time understanding it, use YouTube to adjust the speed.

Latest on the coronavirus spreading in China and beyond

The #coronavirus outbreak that began in the central Chinese city of #Wuhan has killed 41 people in China and infected more than 1,400 globally, most of them in China.

The virus has caused alarm because it is still too early to know how dangerous it is and how easily it spreads between people. And because it is new, humans have not been able to build any immunity to it.

Here is what we know so far:

* As of Jan. 25 at 8 p.m. (1200 GMT) the death toll in China had risen to 42, authorities reported. Some 1,372 people in China had been infected with the virus.

* China announced further travel curbs on Saturday. Ride-hailing giant Didi Chuxing said it was halting inter-city services to and from Beijing from Sunday, while the capital will also stop running inter-province shuttle buses.

* The previously unknown strain is believed to have emerged late last year from illegally traded wildlife at an animal market in Wuhan.

* Thailand has reported five cases; Australia has reported four; Singapore, France, Japan, Taiwan and Malaysia three; Vietnam, South Korea and the United States two apiece; and Nepal one.

* The World Health Organisation (WHO) said that while the outbreak was an emergency for China, it was not yet a global health emergency.

* Symptoms include fever, cough and difficulty breathing.

* China says the virus is mutating and can be transmitted through human contact.

* Those most affected are older people and those with underlying health conditions.

* Three research teams have begun work on developing potential vaccines, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations said. Scientists hope to be testing the first possible vaccines in three months' time.

* Wuhan, a city of 11 million, is under severe travel restrictions, with urban transport shut and outgoing flights suspended.

* China has advised people to avoid crowds and more than 10 cities in the central province of Hubei, where Wuhan is located, have suspended some transport.

Beijing closed tourist access to the Forbidden City and cancelled large gatherings, including two Lunar New Year temple fairs, and closed part of the Great Wall.

* Starbucks has closed all shops and suspended delivery services in China's Hubei province for the week-long Lunar New Year holiday, following a similar move by McDonald's in five Hubei cities.

* Walt Disney Co's Shanghai Disney Resort will be closed from Saturday.

* Hong Kong has declared an emergency and will extend school holiday closures until Feb. 17. The city also cancelled all official Lunar New Year celebrations and official visits to mainland China.

* China's Haikou city, capital of the southern island province of Hainan, started a 14-day centralised medical observation for tourists from Hubei. Sanya city in the province, a popular vacation destination, has shut all tourist sites.

* Airports around the world have stepped up screening.

* Shares and crude prices fell sharply on Friday as investors moved into safe-haven assets amid concerns that the virus could curb travel and hurt economic demand.

* Some experts believe the virus is not as dangerous as the 2002-03 Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) that killed nearly 800 people, and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), which has killed more than 700 people since 2012.

* Each person infected is passing the disease on to between two and three other people on average at current transmission rates, according to two separate scientific analyses.

Hiding From Coronavirus in Secret Jungle Pools of Thailand | Phang Nga Swimming Holes

Everyone is freaking out about the coronavirus here in Asia, so I decided to seek refuge among the snakes and spiders of the Southern Thailand jungle. It's amazing that these beautiful swimming holes, waterfalls, and boulder grottos had no one else around for miles. These were some of my favorite times in Phang Nga.

China Was Falling Into Pieces LONG Before the Coronavirus of 2020...

The recent viral outbreak threatening a worldwide apocalypse scenario is the logical conclusion of a backwards, counterproductive and totally apathetic society that has been falling into pieces, literally and figuratively, for decades.
