The Little Boy Who Lost His Name - SHAY

This is my sons favourite book. I've uploaded it as a movie so that he can watch /read it when I'm not there. Narrated by myself. I urge you all, if you have children, to get this for your child (obviously with your child's name and not Shay). I have no link to the business that make the books, but really enjoy this.

Get Lost with the World's Master Maze Maker

For many of us, mazes represent a mysterious unknown, an enigmatic and entertaining puzzle of mythic proportions, and Englishman Adrian Fisher is the world's preeminent maze designer. Over the years, this master of deception has designed over 700 mazes in 40 countries and knows exactly how to twist, turn and disorient you. However, like all skillful mystery-makers, Fisher's greatest talent in maze-making is knowing how to perfectly blend the intrigue of exploration with the satisfaction that comes from finding your way.

How Transport For London Organizes 340,000 Lost Items

Have you ever used public transport in London and lost an umbrella, mobile phone, or a bag? Well, if you have then there is a good chance that it may have ended up in the capitals Lost Property Office. The office in Baker Street is home to thousands of lost items that have been left across TfL networks, which includes the Underground, buses and the Docklands Light Railway.

We were shown around by the office manager, Paul Cowan, who explained the meticulous and well-organized system of how they store all these items. Paul also shares with us some of the weirdest things he has seen come through the office and how you can reclaim any lost items you think you may have misplaced.

The TfL Lost Property office opened in 1934 in London, England. The office received over 340,000 during 2017/2018. We were given a tour to see how things are organized and how you can reclaim any lost items.

How Transport For London Organizes 340,000 Lost Items

I recently lost my purse but I didn't have to panic due to a few measures that I take to keep my money and bank cards safe when travelling.

Firstly I have 2 purses, one purse which stays with my day to day, and another that stays in my travel day pack with my passport.

When I get cash out of an ATM when I travel I never carry all the cash on me, I carry a small amount each day in my day to day purse and keep the rest safe in my second purse.

I travel with 4 bank cards:
1 & 2 - A credit card and debit card which stay in my second purse.

I do not use my debit card when I travel because if I lose this or it gets stolen or cloned this gives access to main bank account and contacting banks can be hard when overseas.

3 - A prepaid WeSwap Card which I keep on me day to day and use to get money out.

I use my WeSwap card most as if it gets stolen or cloned someone else does not have access to all of my money, just the amount I topped up by and I can easily freeze it on the app and ask for a new card to be delivered to me.

4 - A Monzo card which I keep in my second purse too.

I love travelling with my Monzo Card (this is British but another 'modern day card' is a good alternative), as I can use it overseas without transaction fees, plus the app is great and I can freeze the card easily, and they will send me a new card oversea's if I need one.

I also really recommend travelling with more than one bank card because sometimes ATM's abroad can be funny and not take one bank card so you do need second and third options at least.

In addition to this I recommend keeping your money and cards in your hostel or hotel room when you are in one place, it is much safer than carrying them with you when you travel. You can keep them in a safe or locker.

I have kept my money safe when travelling like this for years and luckily never lost or had my purse stolen. When it happened recently and I didn't panic I realised that what I have been doing is definitely the best way to keep your money and bank cards safe when travelling!

In this video I am talking about why I changed my Youtube name from Lost Backpacker to Planet Wanderlust.

I use a GoPro Hero 5 Black to record my Vlogs. I intend to upgrade my gear as I go. My next target is to purchase a Dslr camera to enhance my videos. This will most likely be while I’m working to save for my next big trip.

I use to be a mechanic and decided enough was enough, I’m not wasting my life doing something I semi enjoy when I could do something I love and admire! Of course we will all have to earn money from somewhere, but when I do work it will be to save for another great trip. I hope my videos bring something to your day, they are always growing and improving.

So far I have been to Japan and South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Cambodia on this trip. I have gone back home for a month and after that I am flying back to Thailand to carry on my trip. I’m planning on going to Laos, then down South to explore more of Asia.

#RogainePartner #ad Back in June of 2018, I shared something with you guys that I’ve been embarrassed and self-conscious about for years: I’m losing my hair. For a long time, I did everything I could to hide it, including wearing a hat every time I filmed a video. I was miserable and the thought of someone noticing or mentioning it was excruciating. Then I found Rogaine and teamed up with them in the hopes that their products would help me and restore the confidence I had lost years ago. These are my nine-month Rogaine results!

My Film Making Kit ►

Since May of 2018, I’ve been applying Rogaine to my head twice a day, every single day, in every spot where I’m balding. One thing you have to do is stay persistent. Keep at it! A whopping 9 out of 10 men see positive results after using Rogaine as prescribed, and I’m one of them! My hair is fuller, thicker, and even a little darker as a result of using it and I am absolutely thrilled at the progress I’ve made!

There is no doubt in my mind—I will be using Rogaine for the rest of my life. And at just $30 for a month’s supply, it’s very affordable and the results are more than worth it. If you’re male and between 25 and 35 years old, and losing your hair, I highly recommend Rogaine Men’s Foam. Now I’m confident again and love showing off my new head of hair! This product has been life-changing for me and I hope it will be for you, too.

You can check out the Rogaine product that I'm trying here:

Lost Futures of East London (4K)

A walk to Fairlop from Leytonstone, in East London. Fairlop is in the London Borough of Redbridge and takes its name from the famous Fairlop Oak, an enormous oak tree in Hainault Forest that was said to be 900 years old in its prime. The tree fell into poor health and the trunk was hollow by the time it became the focus of the annual Fairlop Fair when thousands of Londoners flooded out through the forest for festivities around the tree. In 1805 flames from a picnic set light to the tree causing great damage. Then in 1820 the Fairlop Oak finally blew down.
Our walk takes us from Leytonstone High Road through Wanstead to the Redbridge Roundabout and Charles Holden's Redbridge Tube Station. We then go along Redbridge Lane East. I revisit my thoughts on Mark Fisher's idea of Hauntology as a 'nostalgia for lost futures'. I also recently read an essay by Alastair Bonnett that explains how the word 'nostalgia' was devised in 1688 by Johannes Hofer by combining the Greek ‘nostos’ (home) and ‘algos’ (pain) in order to depict a malady brought on by being distant from one’s homeland... The earliest English uses of the term are geo-psychological. According to the OED, the first English usage is from 1770 and derives from Joseph Banks, botanist on James Cook’s Endeavour. ‘The greatest part’ of the crew, Banks wrote in his diary, are ‘now pretty far gone in the longing for home which the Physicians have gone so far as to esteem a disease under the name of Nostalgia (The Geography of Nostalgia: Global and Local Perspectives on Modernity and Loss by Alastair Bonnett).
We visit Clayhall Park, named after the manor that was first recorded in the area in 1203. Here we see the plaque embedded in a stone to commemorate the planting of trees by The Men of the Trees in 1937. We then walk through Barkingside to the majestic Fullwell Cross Library. This glorious building was designed by notable architect Frederick Gibberd who later designed Heathrow Airport, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral and was chief planner for Harlow New Town.
The walk ends at the beautiful Fairlop Waters which had been used as an airfield in both WW1 and WW2 and in 1947 was considered for the location of London's major intercontinental airport.

Lost Girls Unite

My name is Lola (Lost On Land Again). I am a van dweller in training and this is my story.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting fellow camper Patty and then met up with Lost Girl Hikes and her mom Trail Blazer for some hiking and drone flying. It was so fun! We had lunch at The Lot in Dallas and then I headed back to Cedar Hill State Park where I was able to fly my drone on Sunday.

My Last Day In The Mountains - Music by Bo PITBULLGAMING

My name is Lola (Lost On Land Again). I am a van dweller in training and this is my story.

I spent my last day in the mountains hiking around one of my favorite spots. There are lots of boondocking opportunities near/at Bluff Springs, NM. I took a hike to the top of the falls (and beyond) with my drone. Special thanks to my friend Bo PITBULLGAMING for allowing me to use his music. He named this song Get Lost. Otherwise known as I'm not mowing the freaking yard. Thank you Bo!!!
