We're sailing on HH55 Ticket To Ride and it's a beast of a performance catamaran.

Raw and remote.  That pretty much sums up the Tuamotu archipelago.  It’s easily one of our top 5 sailing destinations in the world.  Pristine waters, abundant marine life, and just outside of the hurricane zone.  Sailing here on our own boat was a dream (and one we hope to repeat).  But until then, we are doing the next best thing.  Sailing with friends!

But Fakarava is way out here, and it's a coral atoll.  Meaning there isn't much in the form of supplies, and fertile soil for growing food is minimal.  Locals have to be self-sufficient because survival this far from the mainland requires great planning and patients.  Today you’ll get a little taste of what it’s like to go on a supply mission to one of the most remote islands in the world.

Plus, we test some new cameras and have the most gorgeous champagne sail to our favorite dive spot of all time.  Sharks, sharks, and more sharks.  Hundreds of them!  So put on your flippers and jump in!

More about HH Catamarans and our HH44 :
________

Why Curiosity2
Self-Reliance + Sustainability = Freedom
Self-Reliance: To rely on our own resources and limit our need for a marina or fuel dock.
Sustainability: Thinking about what we do today and how it will affect next week, next year, the next decade, and so on. It’s the recognition that we’re all part of a living system and that everything we do impacts the world around us.
In other words, we want to be out in the world living and exploring for as long as possible. Both in terms of not having to worry about our resources or our habitat disappearing. It's practical, not political.
This new HH44 is the continuation of that conversation and desire. This is not the ultimate, all-time perfect eco boat or zero-footprint anything. Not even close. It’s the best option that we could find working with viable, available solutions. It’s the type of innovation we want to support, encourage, and see way more of.
This is a brand-new boat designed from the ground up with solar, hydrogeneration, and electric motoring in mind. Add in our rain capture system and we have the ability to be off the grid and explore incredibly remote and uninhabited areas for months and months at a time.
____________
WE’RE JASON AND NIKKI WYNN. A couple of modern-day documentarians, perpetual travelers, and seekers of tall tales.

We’ve been chasing our curiosity around the world on wheels and keels since 2011. Why? Because curiosity is the key to unlocking life. It pushes us outside our comfort zone, softens our assumptions, and helps us embrace the great unknown. The more we let our curiosity lead the way, the more we discover about ourselves and the world around us.

Our journey is ever-evolving but the mission remains the same: #CultivateCuriosity

He Found Freedom in the Desert ????????

As far out as one can get in the continental United States is a place tethered to nothing other than the open skies, dramatic landscapes, and a deep feeling of freedom. Removed from the stresses and restraints of the cities is a community living by their own rules. Today, we meet up with a local character named Will, who shows us what living out here is like in rural Utah and why he can't imagine it any other way.
