It’s our very first time in South Korea! Wow, it feels so good to be here! In this video we take you on our first day exploring Seoul to give you our first impressions. Seoul really really blew our minds and it felt like a dream destination for us! Insane wifi, endless coffee shops and the FOOD!!! wow each bite is bursting with flavour! We explore the Myeongdong area, the older part of Seoul and even wear a traditional hanbok all whist visiting the Bukchon Hanok Village and Changdeokgung palace, this was such a fantastic way to integrate ourselves into Korea! Shev felt like a princess in her Hanbok!

We went grocery shopping in Korea!
Lotte Mart is one of the most popular supermarket chain from South Korea, and it has some impressive selections of both Korean and international products.
We just came from Tokyo, Japan, and couldn't but compared the grocery prices in Japan vs. Korea.

Eating in Jongno-gu Seoul on a Budget | Jonggak, Dongmyo Market, Jongno 3-ga

Hello everyone! Jongno-gu (종로구) is arguably the most tourist centric district in Seoul with its traditional palaces and temples, but that doesn't mean that it's only filled with tourist traps! We went to Jonggak Station (종각역), which is right beside Bosingak (보신각), the bell used to ring in the New Year every year. We tried Dwaeji Bulbaek (돼지불백) there from a tiny stall. Then we went to Dongmyo Flea Market (동묘구제시장), the largest flea market in Korea and tried some Jjajangmyeon (짜장면) there for only 3,000 won ($2.30 USD)! Our last stop was in Jongno 3-ga (종로3가) which is an older neighbourhood filled with musical instrument shops where we tried its famous Hangover Soup (해장국) for 2,500 won ($1.92 USD). We had a great time exploring Seoul like a tourist again, and hope this information is helpful for people who want to come to Seoul and sightsee/eat amazing food without breaking bank!

Hello everyone! This past week we took a mini vacation to Busan by the high speed KTX train this time. When we arrived we went to Gaemi-jib (개미집), a local Busan restaurant, and then we went to Korea's largest seafood market Jagalchi Fish Market (자갈치시장). After exploring a bit, it was time to go relax at Busan's famous Haeundae Beach (해운대해수욕장). We went to an Izakaya, explored the nightlife, and relaxed on the beach at night to end an amazing day in Busan!

Hello there! We decided to create a new series where we explore different areas in Seoul and try some cheap and amazing restaurants while showing a bit of what life is like in each neighbourhood. We started out in Mapo-gu (마포구), home to one of the most famous tourist areas of Hongdae (홍대). In this video we explore Mangwon (망원) and the traditional Mangwon Market (마포시장) where there is a kalguksu (칼국수) restaurant. Then we go to Daeheung Station (대흥역), an older neighbourhood right next to Sogang University (서강대학교) that has a really good samgyeopsal (삼겹살) restaurant. And finally, we go to a legendary tonkatsu (돈까스) restaurant in Sinchon (신촌) right next to Yonsei University (연세대학교). Enjoy!

Hello! We are currently preparing to cycle the Shinan Islands soon (신안섬) and this week we decided to take a bike ride to the top of Namsan (남산) where you can find the famous N Seoul Tower (N서울타워). The ride is about 240m in elevation and 2km from the entrance of Namsan Park (남산공원). When we got to the top, we decided to check out everything inside the Seoul Tower Plaza and give a little tour of what to expect if you decide to make the trip up there! Enjoy!

Camping in the Middle of Seoul | Overview of Nanji Campground

Hello everyone! We decided to check out Nanji Campground (난지캠핑장), Seoul’s most famous campground, on our bikes. Camping at a campground in Korea is normally really expensive, but we saw it was only 15,000 KRW ($11.30 USD) so we decided to give it a try. We stopped on the way to Home Plus (big department store), bought some groceries, and we were on our way! When we arrived at Nanji Campground, we were blown away by the facilities. Everything was really clean and well maintained, they had places for people to BBQ or have a campfire, and the area to set up tents was completely separated making it a nice, quiet experience, at least that’s what it was like on a Thursday night. Yujin then made an amazing steak dinner with asparagus, mushrooms, and pineapple, and we relaxed and enjoyed the great outdoors right in the middle of one of the biggest megacities in the world.

Hello everyone! We decided to share one of our favourite aspects of Korea with everyone, the night life. Korea is one of the safest countries in the world, and it has a night culture that’s super bright and vibrant making it the perfect combination. We went to Nogari Alley (노가리골목) in Euljiro 3-Ga (을지로3가) to check out the Manseon Hof (만선호프), a pub that takes up a few streets and buildings! Then we went to a Noraebang (노래방), a room karaoke that allows for anyone to sing their heart out without being in front of a crowd of unknown people. And lastly, we went to one of our favourite neighbourhoods at night, and it wasn’t Gangnam, Hongdae, or Itaewon. We went to Sillim (신림), which has a bar street filled with beautiful neon signs and a night culture that truly represents Seoul.

Seongsan Sunrise Peak, Hiking Darangshi Oreum, and Jeju's Best Beach! | Ep 4 | One Month in Jeju

For Yujin's birthday we hiked up Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, which is famous for seeing the sunrise, but unfortunately it was really foggy so we couldn't see anything. However, we met three super friendly University exchange students from Germany that were riding around Jeju for the first time, and they made our day from the get go! We then went to Darangshi Oreum, one of the over 360 volcanic cones that stem from Korea's tallest mountain/volcano Hallasan. Afterwards, it was time to find a new campsite, and we lucked out completely by discovering Gimnyeong Beach. There weren't many people, the sand and water were amazing, and the little village of Gimnyeong-ri were the perfect getaway to relax during our last week of our life in Jeju.
