Timimoun oasis: Growing food in the desert I WIDE
Timimoun’s market is filled with colourful and fresh vegetables. One can hardly believe that they have been grown in the centre of the desert, in one of its unlikely gardens.
One of the sellers from the market invites us to follow him back into his garden. While showing us around, he explains to us the ancient irrigation system that allows vegetation to thrive in one of the driest places on earth.

Have you ever seen a lake in a desert? ????️???? Here is one – in Namib Desert!
There’s one in Namibia’s Namib desert. Sossusvlei is a salt and clay pan surrounded by sand dunes. It’s covered in water after a good rainy season. You can even swim in the shallow lake. ????♀️
Our tip: climb up the dunes at sunrise and enjoy the view. Then go swimming. But be careful, the floor of the lake is very slippery.

BEAUTIFUL Desert OASIS or Was It All Just a MIRAGE?!?!
How does a desert oasis form? This tranquil paradise was found deep in the Sonoran Desert of California. It had numerous waterfalls, palm trees, natural slides and even a huge hidden cave behind a waterfall. We also saw an abundance of wildlife including rattlesnakes, lizards, frogs and some very interesting insects. Let me know what you think of the ending of this video, lol.
