Mandarmani is a seaside resort village in East Midnapore district and at the northern end of the Bay of Bengal. It is one of the large and fast developing seaside resort village of West Bengal. It is almost 180 Km from Kolkata Airport on the Kolkata - Digha route. Red crabs crawling around the 13 Km long beach is a special attraction of Mandarmani. It is argued to be the longest drivable (drive in) beach in India. Geomorphologically, this area has relatively low waves than nearer tourist beach of Digha. However still this beach is deposition with formation of neo dunes in several areas specially around Dadanpatrabar.
This is literally a virgin beach. The loneliness of the beach makes one meet nature in various forms. On the beach one will undoubtedly get the chance to feel the divinity and tranquility. If thats not enough to please your senses, then roll on the sand and listen to the waves crashing upon the shore, which will surely refresh your body and mind. It is almost 180 km from Kolkata Airport on the Kolkata - Digha route. Red crabs crawling around the 13 km long beach is a special attraction of Mandarmani. It was argued to be the longest driveable (drive in) beach in India. It is located under Contai Sub division area.
Mandarmani can be best reached by road, The nearest railway station is Contai and Ashapurna Devi railway station and the nearest airport is Kolkata.

It was a really nice experience during our stay at hotel dreamland, mandarmani on 19th to 20th March, 2023. Rooms are really cozy and well furnished with ample space and a lovely balcony. All the rooms are sea facing. Staffs are very cordial and service is excellent. Good experience overall.

I just loved the place, it's more fun when you've enjoyed it with your friends. The place is very peaceful. It took us almost 3 hours from Santragachi junction to kanthi station. From kanthi we took a cab to sonar bangla resort where we stayed one day. The resort is very near to the beach area & the sea view is awesome from the balcony. The resort was cheap & affordable. But i would recommend to check other resorts too.
Mandarmani beach is one of the most beautiful spot one can visit in Kolkata. There's no crowd at all so you can enjoy freely as long as you want. It’s been a wonderful experience. Highly recommend ????☔
