A new ferry terminal connecting Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and Guangzhou City in south China's Guangdong Province officially opened to public service on Thursday, facilitating travels between the two cities in about two hours.

The ferry ride itself takes about and hour to an hour and 10 minutes. The immigration processing on both ends is fast and efficient. The Macau ferry terminal is much nicer and newer than the Hong Kong Ferry terminal.

I have taken a Cathay Pacific 國泰航空 flight on an Airbus A330-300; after deplaning I walked towards the ferry check in desks before immigration; Passengers with bags need to check in at least 60 minutes before the ferry departure; about half an hour before departure I have used the automated people mover to get to the Skypier ferry terminal 海天客運碼頭; At the terminal I have boarded an express ferry; The ferry took about 60 minutes to deliver me to Shekou Ferry Terminal 蛇口客運碼頭, Shenzhen 深圳; At Shekou passengers pass Mainland China entry immigration and customes checkpoint;

Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal is a ferry terminal, located at China Hong Kong City, 33 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is one of three cross-border ferry terminals in Hong Kong.
The pier has operated since 8 October 1988. It operates 06:00–22:00 Monday–Friday, and 06:00–02:00 Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays. It provides ferry services to Macau and mainland China.
