One of the many reasons why we don't like Hong Kong is because of the expensive transport, especially if you are coming from the airport.
So we made this video to help you save money when traveling from the airport to the city, although not the fastest way, an hour bus ride is still not bad at all.

After you come off the airport express at Kowloon station. Go upstairs to K3 stand and take the free airport express shuttle bus. This will drop you at Holiday Inn. Cross the road the the Mirador.mansion is across the road on the left.
Watch out for the touts, they are annoying as hell. Good luck.

Airport Express (train) is the most popular transportation from Hong Kong International Airport to either Hong Kong Island or Kowloon. It is the least expensive and fastest but travelers must handle their own luggage. We had very heavy luggage.
Hotel kiosks are located directly outside of arrival and they will tell about different transportation choices besides Airport Express: taxi, limousine or bus with hotel drop-off.

Hong Kong Airport Express from Terminal 1 to City | How to get to train
It's day 1 of our South East Asian adventure.
This first video is all about getting the train from Hong Kong Airport to Kowloon.
Our trip in Hong Kong is only a stop over as we fly to Phuket, Thailand. So our bags are checked to the final destination of Phuket.
So upon arrival in Hong Kong, we did not need to pick up or bags or clear our bags with customs. We simply followed the signs for immigration, cleared immigration and customs (with only our carry-on) and found the train to the city. Our bags were processed by the airport and transferred to the connecting flight to Phuket, even with a 10 hour layover.

Hong Kong Airport Express Train is the fastest link to city. You can reach city in 24 minutes and free shuttle bus to hotel. If you transit in Hong Kong Airport for more 4 hours, then you can ride this MTR Airport Express to Kowloon or Tsim Sha Tsui and back to Airport.
