Hitchhiking in Georgia ! Easy or Difficult ?

GEORGIA’S MOST DANGEROUS ROAD ????????

In this video we will take you to Tusheti National Park which is only accessible by helicopter or by hitchhiking a 4x4 vehicle on what is considered one of the most dangerous roads in the world and the by far deadliest in Georgia. Many people told us not to go there or at least take a guide, but hitchhiking there turned out to be the most amazing experience and finally big adventure again after a relaxing week with amazing Couchsurfing hosts and friends in Tbilisi. If you’ve got any questions about how and when to hitchhike to Omalo, Tusheti, make sure to let us know in the comments:)
Next up we will go on a multi-day hike in Svaneti region which was to become our highlight of Georgia and a definite recommendation to every low-budget traveller visiting the Caucasus!

Autostop with Police | Turkey to Georgia | Chapter 17

Travelled 1000km from central turkey to the capital of Georgia for free by autostop. Thanks to the 11 drivers that stopped for me- including the Turkish police! Was sad to leave Turkey behind and quite a cultural shock with a very different climate, alphabet and mentality. But Georgian people seem friendly too. Hitchhiking was easy and common, even if the cars often seen to be missing bumpers and drivers don't seem to worry too much about lanes, phones or seatbelts!

This is a travel vlog sharing my solo hitchhike adventure from France to South East Asia. I am living out of my backpack, wild camping on a hammock and trying to survive with very little money. I aim to explore all the countries and cultures I meet along the way. Hitchhiking means I get the chance to meet real, wonderful (and often slightly crazy) local people.

Avoid These Kids in Georgia: Robbed by Kids (Tourist Nightmare)

Meet the little terrors of Georgia, avoid these kids at all cost, especially in Tbilisi and Batumi; they tried to rob my friend and I. These gypsy kids come in a brave girl group of ages between 4 and 13; they are taught to target tourists/foreigners. This tourist nightmare video might just save you a lot of money and headaches.

Kazbegi, Stepantsminda, Juta | The Best Of Georgia Ep #1

Easily accessible from Tbilisi, Kazbegi is home to the magnificent Mt. Kazbek and is one of Georgia’s most popular mountain retreats. The term ‘Kazbegi’ commonly refers to both the town of Stepantsminda (formerly Kazbegi and still called this by many), and the greater Kazbegi Municipality within the Khevi province. Roughly speaking, this area extends northwards from Jvari Pass to the Russian border at Dariali Gorge, westwards up Truso Valley, and eastwards up the Snostskali Valley to Juta.

Bisecting this area is the Georgian Military Highway, a vital road connecting Georgia and Russia on either side of the Caucasus Mountains. A long established trade route, it has led to increased development over the years; trucks constantly ply the main road, and shops, guesthouses, and restaurants are plentiful. This infrastructure, along with the area’s proximity to the capital just three hours away, is what makes it so accessible for many. On the other hand, Kazbegi’s popularity can undoubtedly be attributed to the glorious mountain vistas, natural attractions, and iconic sites found across the region.
In this video we outline the best things to see and do around Kazbegi.

Did horse riding trips, stayed in Yurt camps, hitchhiked and stayed with locals. I volunteered in village farms, hostels and NGOs to get the holistic experience of my trip and central Asian culture. Is India safe for women to hitchhike? What do you think?

I know this vlog is a bit long, but I wanted to show you the series of my incredibly interesting, intense, fascinating, strong, difficult, easy, overwhelming, wonderful hitchhiking experience in Kashmir. Don't miss out on this one!

This was an epic adventure for me and I had a great time hitchhiking for the first time in Kashmir!

Hitchhiking in India is called taking lift.

Just in case if you have missed previous episodes of CHALO KASHMIR SERIES-

EP01:
EP02:

This is not a regular series, in this series I will be showing my Journey from Mumbai to Kashmir and the risks I took to find out how safe Kashmir is? You're not going to see daily accounts of my route or what/where I ate/things to do I want my episodes to be more about the stories and the motivations behind why I chose to Travel across Jammu & Kashmir, how I did it as a solo woman traveller, the wonderful people I met and all the crazy ups and downs I lived through my journey.

I want to leave you with all the action and emotion that makes this journey an absolute blast! Let me know what you think, I can't wait for your feedback.

I travelled to Jammu & Kashmir after the Pulwama Attack and right before the Abrogation of Article 370.

While Kashmir is a popular tourist destination and 1000s of people travel to this state but they are extra cautious in choosing the places to visit and transport options. Rightly so because Kashmir, unfortunately, is often in the news for all wrong reasons. It’s a place where Every day, someone dies. Someone is detained. Or someone disappears.

Hitchiking in Georgia | Kazbegi

I heard that hitchhiking in the country of Georgia was easy. I thought, sure it's easy if you're a Swedish Instagram model, but me? A bearded Canadian man?

So from the village of Stepantsminda, otherwise known as Kazbegi, I journeyed down the old Soviet military highway to discover some waterfalls. I met a nice Georgian guy who gave me ice cream, rode a horse, and was returned home by some french travellers.

WE HAD TO LEAVE AZERBAIJAN | Hitchhiking to Georgia's wine paradise Sighnaghi | Amazing Hospitality

???? IN THIS VLOG

Join us on this journey down memory lane for some amazing adventures through South East Asia, China, Central Asia, The Caucasus, Turkey, the Balkan and Southern Europe.

In this episode we leave Azerbaijan for the country of Georgia. We hitchhike our last kilometres in Azerbaijan and cross into Georgia. Our first destination in this beautiful country is Sighnaghi, Georgia's wine paradise! But we're not very focused on the wine. We explore the town on the cheap and then we spend an amazing day hitchhiking and getting invited to eat with locals.

Hitchhiking in Armenia goes terribly wrong!!

Last Saturday when I was hitchhiking for the first time in the country Armenia! On that day I left Tbilisi, Georgia and hitchhiked to Yerevan in Armenia (the capital). The hitchhiking ride got out of hand, and the sleeping place was pretty weird. A nice start for Armenia. :) As of writing I'm still in Yerevan, and I can announce some very nice future videos about this mystical mountainous country Armenia!! :)
Very big thanks to my hitchhiking drivers for making this possible.

Georgia - Kazbegi, Mestia, Kutaisi & more | 21 Things to Do | Travel video | GoPro 10 & DJI Mini 3

I made 14 days trip to Georgia during the end of the August 2022. I was alone and I have to say that I was a little bit scared and not just because of the war in Europe and that I wanted to hitch-hiking in Georgia.

But I have to say that this trip was so amazing. Georgia has many places to visit and it is the very friendly country. Everybody was so helpful and the hitch-hiking in Georgia was almost always easy. One day I stopped the cars 5 times. It was so crazy, but I wanted to see the few places in one day and this was the best and cheapest option.

I saw during my trip to Georgia interesting places like the cities in mountain Ushguli, Mestia or Stepantsminda, but the interesting around this cities were the hike around Kazbegi and another amazing Hike around Ushba. Georgia also has many interesting monasteries like the Gergeti Trinity Church, Dariali Monastery Complex, Gelati Monastery and the amazing church Katskhi Column. Another amazing places were the Toti Waterfalls and Gveleti Waterfalls. And of course, I saw the cities Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Chiatura, Batumi and small city Gori, where there is the nice Fortress, not the nice Joseph Stalin Museum and not so far from the Gori is Uplistsikhe Cave Town. Last thing what I can I recommend is fly with Vanilla Sky. This was the lovely thing to do in Georgia.

Visiting Trabzon, Turkey. Hitchhiking to Georgia. Backpacking in Batumi

Trabzon is a city in Turkey on the coast of the Black sea. Visiting Trabzon was in our plans for a long time, because Iranian consulate is located in Trabzon and we needed to collect our iranian visas there.
We spent a few nights in university lecturers place. He was a good musician so in the video you can hear him singing.
We didn't like Trabzon itself like we liked for example Samsun, because they didn't have sandy beaches and you could see a lot of rubish near the sea. Exploring Trabzon streets was interesting, but we got so tired because of our big backpacks.
When we rialized we will have to wait for Iranian visas longes, we decided thet the best thing to do will be hitchhiking to Georgia. Hitchhiking from Trabzon, Turkey to Batumi in Georgia was not hard at all. People stopped easily and they were so friendly. Turkey is a good place for backpackers, but you should know that not everyone in Turkey speak English.
Visiting Trabzon in Turkey was only a part of our journey around the world. You should check our other videos. They are really cool. ;) Please, remember that every LIKE and Subscribe is very important for us.

To read our travel blog you should turn on translation to english on the right menu.
