The Kingdom of Eswatini: Our First African Experience (4K)

Embark on an exciting journey with me as I explore Eswatini (formerly known as Swaziland) for the first time, showcasing the country's astonishing natural beauty, vibrant cities, and authentic cultural experiences.

Our adventure begins at Shonalanga Lodge in Dombeya Game game reserve, where giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, antelopes, and warthogs freely roam. Experience life up close with nature, as we wake up to the sight of these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.

We then venture into the nearby city of Manzini, getting a glimpse of the city's vibrant lifestyle and the offerings of a typical supermarket. I take you through the bustling streets, giving you an authentic peek into the daily life in Eswatini's urban centres.

Accompanied by our knowledgeable guide Lunga from Nolu Tours, we traverse the markets in Mbabane, Eswatini's capital. We dive deep into the heart of Eswatini's culture as we explore the country's top attraction - the local cultural village.

Our Eswatini journey is enriched by a day spent with Phumie Mamba, the son of a local clan leader. We explore the Mamba Kingdom and gain an understanding of rural life and politics in Eswatini.

Next, we're on a self-drive tour to discover some of the country's hidden gems. A visit to the Hlane Royal National Park reveals an impressive collection of wildlife - white rhinos, wild lions, elephants, and more.

Finally, we cross the border into South Africa for an excursion to Kruger National Park, a journey that adds to the richness of our Sub-Saharan experience.

This video is a blend of a vlog and a documentary, featuring my first-hand accounts, interviews with local guides, and some breathtaking footage of a country very few people know much about.

Whether you're an armchair tourist, seeking travel inspiration, or considering a visit to Eswatini, join me as we discover some of what the beautiful nation of Eswatini offers travellers.

Inkosi Mswati Willard Gomani V & Ms.Khanyisa Rashiladza Yolande Mathebula's Official Wedding Trailer.
Video shot by Studio 79 Inc. The best videographers in Malawi

Immaculately dressed Mswati Willard Gomani V tied the knot with his South African sweetheart, Rishaladza Khanyisa at Ntcheu CCAP Church on Saturday morning, in a colourful wedding ceremony witnessed by thousands of Malawians, top clergy , politicians and Government officials.
They were joined together after they committed to “love and care for each other in sickness from this day forward, for better, for worse for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health till death do us part.”

At exactly 10:30 am, moderator of the CCAP Blantyre Synod, Reverend Masauko Mbolembole, who led the service of worship for the wedding ceremony, declared them as husband and wife, joined before God and the congregation.

Reverend Mbolembole encouraged the new couple with the word of God from Genesis chapter 2 from verses 18 to 25 and I Corinthians chapter 3 from 3 through to 13.

He advised them to be independent and delink themselves from their back “different backgrounds” to ably appreciate each.

“Marriage is about suitable partners, who are supposed to contribute positively to each other's life. Marriage is about bringing fulfillment in the life of each other. You must fill the gaps in one's life,” he said.

The CCAP Blantyre Synod Moderator also observed that marriage is also a challenging concept and requires those in marriage to be very understanding and not allow external forces to influence their decision.

“You should build up on new commitment so that you can understand the uniqueness of marriage. You have left your own people to become one flesh. Don't come empty, but be of value to each other. You will always have to know and understand what God want from you and what you will have to be doing.

Earlier on General Secretary of the Synod Billy Gama told the gathering that the wedding was officiated by them following a request from their sister synod, Nkhoma to have the wedding officiated by Blantyre Synod, and “we cordially accepted to do this noble task.”

The officiation ceremony was graced by Senior and Traditional Chiefs, government officials, heads of diplomatic missions, and representatives of Inkosi Mpezeni of Zambia, King Mswati of eSwatini (formerly Swaziland) and Inkosikazi's friends from South Africa.

Thereafter, the royal family proceed to a wedding reception at Mkolimbo village in the district, where people of all walks of life graced the event.

Traveling to Swaziland

We travel from South Africa to Swaziland for month eight of the World Race.

About Me //
I am 25, from Marietta, Georgia and I started this channel in 2013 in my final semester of my college. After graduating from Auburn University in Alabama I spent four months in Europe and tried my hand at vloging. You can watch the whole series here and forgive me for filming it on my iPhone. Right after traveling I moved to DC where I lived for two years. Last summer I backpacked through Central America and produced a 10 part vlog series about that as well. I currently am traveling on World Race. The World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 countries. I post videos almost every day, so subscribe and stay a while if you want to see more.

The Kingdom of Eswatini (Swaziland) के King Mswati III की हैं 15 बीवियां, 23 बच्चे

#TheKingdomofEswatini #KingMswatiIII

Hlane Royal National Park in Lubombo District, Eswatini (Swaziland)‎

Hlane Royal National Park is a national park in Eswatini, roughly 67 km northeast of Manzini along the MR3 road. Prior to the park being public, it was a private royal hunting ground. Hlane, meaning 'wilderness', was named by King Sobhuza II, It is now held in trust for the Nation by His Majesty King Mswati III, and is managed by Big Game Parks, a privately owned body.
It is Eswatini's largest protected area and park. The park and its adjacent dispersal areas cover 300 km2 of Swazi bushveld. It is a flat lowland area, covered with ancient hardwood trees like knobthorn, leadwood and tambuti, with some grasslands and shallow pans.

Fauna

Female lion
Hlane is home to the lion, elephant, giraffe, and white rhinoceros. Wildebeest, zebra and impala herds are attracted to the waterholes during the dry winter months, June to September. After a long absence, cheetah populations have been reintroduced in this park.

It has an abundant and diverse birdlife, including the highest density of nesting white-backed vultures in Africa. Raptors include martial eagles, bateleurs, and long-crested eagles, as well as several species of vultures including white-backed, white-headed, lappetfaced and the occasional Cape vulture. It has the southernmost nesting site of the marabou stork. Some bird species, such as the southern yellow-billed hornbill (Tockus leucomelas) found here are either endangered or locally extinct in the country.

Accommodation
A network of game-viewing roads crisscrosses the park's flat terrain. Accommodation is available in thatched huts and cottages at two different sites. The main site is near the park entrance from MR3, Hlane Camp. The other site is Bhubesi Camp, almost at the northern end of the park. The road between them requires high clearance to navigate, so with a normal car, it is best to drive all the way around the park to get between them.

Transport
The park was bisected by the MR3 Highway in the 1960s, under pressure from sugar estates at the park's borders. They claimed that the highway would cause no environmental damage, but now hundreds of antelopes, wild boar, buffaloes, and other game are struck by vehicles each year.

Explore the extensive protected area of Hlane Royal National Park, natural habitat to elephants, Transvaal lions, and southern white rhinoceroses. Witness wildebeest, zebra, and impala herds gather around waterholes during winter, or go bird-watching among the diverse avian life, including a large population of nesting white-backed vultures. Take the bush tour to see the lions and hear their magnificent roars.

This area hosts the traditional Butimba, or royal hunt, and today Big Game Parks manages Hlane on behalf of the King. Among a wealth of wildlife reintroduced to its former home, elephant, white rhino, lion and leopard all occur. The rhino and elephant often visit the waterhole at Ndlovu Camp, while lions – the emblem of royal Eswatini – occupy a separate fenced area, where you can see them on a guided game drive. Leopards are more elusive, as are spotted hyenas, whose whooping calls blend with the roars of the lions at night. Giraffe, zebra and hippos are among the other large mammals, while antelope include abundant impala, plus kudu, wildebeest and waterbuck. Highlights among more than 300 species of bird include a large breeding colony of white-backed vultures.

Visitors can choose from a selection of game drives and Hlane’s wide network of game-viewing roads is ideal for a self-drive safari. You can stretch your legs at picnic sites and watch animals come to drink from the game-viewing hide at Mahlindza Dam. Other activities include guided walks and a mountain-bike trail, while overnight bush trails are run in the wild eastern Lusoti section. Accommodation is at Ndlovu Camp, where you can watch the rhinos come to drink, or at the secluded, self-catering Bhubesi Camp, where only the calls of bushbabies and nightjars disturb the night.

Essential Information: Please note gates are open from Sunrise to Sunset.

Hlane is a the Kingdom's largest protected area and together with its neighbouring parks makes up the vast bushveld expanse known as the Lubombo Conservancy. Here in eastern Swaziland the hot, still rhythm of Africa beats on as it has for thousands of years. However, it is a modern day conservation success story that has seen this area survive competing land-use claims - sugar farming, mining and cattle-ranching. The fact that the roar of the lion, symbol of the Swazi King, now reverberates across the lowveld again - is a fascinating story, which will keep you enthralled. Visit Hlane, see the displays, read the park's history and enjoy the tale of two wise Swazi Kings, who've entrusted this park for the Swazi Nation, their children and their children's children.
