Simba, a 4-year-old lion, was born with a chemical deficiency -- the same deficiency that killed both his mother and brother.

Luckily, a man named Azlan from Karachi, Pakistan, rescued him when he was 2 weeks old and raised him to live a happy and healthy life. Because Simba has been domesticated and spoon-fed his entire life, he doesn't know how to hunt and would not make it alive if he was sent back to the wild.

This is a beautiful story that highlights the companionship between a man and a lion.

Lion Man Interaction.GoPro. Frederik, aka Frikkie is a remarkable 70-year-old animal handler in Namibia. He raised the orphaned Zion the Lion from a cub and 8 years later their friendship and bond is as strong as ever. Zion still enjoys a walk in the bush and eagerly jumps into the transport cage to enjoy an hour or two of stalking animals in the bush with his barefoot friend. To date no animal has ever been caught by Zion but hey the fun is in the chase not the kill right?
Barefoot? You are wondering - that's because Zion gets irritated if Frikkie makes too much noise while walking through the bush !

Keeping Lions as pets!! A trend in Pakistan with the rich !

Another weird situation! I was taken by a Couchsurfing friend to show me sone lions,I had no idea where the Lions were kept,I don’t even know where it was,, just somewhere In Lahore.I was totally blown away by the house and the grounds here! And then the lions! I’m sure this will upset some people, they are not my lions, I just went to see them, didn’t know this is where they were gonna be.....especially not in a lavish house like this that must’ve cost millions, and nobody lived there! It was just the party house!
After researching a bit I see that this is quite a thing here, keeping lions as pets, some people keep them on the rooftops in the cities!,
These lions had a full time trainer / feeder and they had a close bond and are fed and treated well, which from what I hear isn’t always the case with some of these animals, which is sad ???? I don’t know if these 2 were born in captivity or not though...if so then they can’t go into the wild (as far as I know) are minds me a bit of Russia actually this country ,in that if you have money here ,you can have and do anything you want... something I’ve been thinking about a lot ,the more time I spend here, the more similarities I see with how they go about certain things ... video skills are so bad here so sorry in advance ! Just can’t believe the abundance of wealth some have here! And seems like a lot!....and that makes me sad, especially seeing the poverty in some areas, but that’s how it is in many countries....I don’t condone keeping lions like this at all, and I don’t know the circumstances of these 2...they are kept well and again I don’t know if they were born in captivity ...it definitely was scary being so close to them even with a fence in between us...
