London Heathrow Terminal 5 Tour - British Airways

Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel!

Finally, after having published all of the takeoffs, landings, tripreports and extra videos from my 2022 UK Tour, it is time to publish the last video from that trip: a Tour around London Heathrow's Terminal 5.

As usual, once I have published all the content, I use the footage I have to come up with some Terminal Tours. On this occasion, London Heathrow's Terminal 5 is the only new one I had the chance to walk around, so it will be the only one for this trip. For those of you who don't know, this is the place where British Airways operates at LHR. What's more, it is their hub.

With this video being published, it will be it for my UK 2022 trip content. Next week, I will start publishing videos from a whole new trip, which I went on just two days after arriving from the UK. This was a very crazy turnaround. Arriving from a trip with my friends and then leaving with my family, in almost no time, was something that blew my mind at the time.

For now, I hope you enjoy this Terminal Tour of LHR's T5, and I'll catch you next week for the start of something completely different.

On to the next one!

HEATHROW TERMINAL 5 BRITISH AIRWAYS

London Heathrow Airport International Arrival For Connection Flight

This is an international arrival from Naples, Italy into London Heathrow airport. We arrived in terminal 2 and had to transfer to Terminal 5 but after that had to take a tram to B Gates. This is a large airport. Good luck and enjoy London Heathrow Airport. We ultimately are headed to Boston. London Heathrow is one of the busiest airports in the world.

British Airways Galleries First lounge London Heathrow Terminal 5 review 4k

Full review at
The British Airways Gold First Class lounge Heathrow Terminal 5 is designed for passengers with a Gold executive card - genuine First Class passengers are accommodated in the Concorde lounge upstairs.
Do take the time to explore, because there are several bars, and a hidden area down a corridor, plus the famous terrace viewing area and bar. The best impression is the stunning view to the southern LHR runway.

Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 Tour, July 2020 - Business Traveller

Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 Tour, July 2020 - Business Traveller
Tom Otley, Editor of Business Traveller Magazine, was invited to tour London Heathrow's Terminal 5 by British Airways. Tom Otley answers the question to 'How safe is London Heathrow?'

Video Transcript:
- Hello, my name is Tom Otley. Welcome to the latest of our videos on Business Traveller. Today, I'm at Heathrow Terminal 5. I last came through here a couple of weeks ago, and it was like a ghost town. It'll be a little busier, I hope, today, but the purpose of today's visit is to look at the different procedures they've put in place and to ask the question, how safe is Heathrow? Straight off, I should say that this tour was organized by British Airways to have a look at T5. Because of the pandemic, there were more airlines in T5 than just British Airways. I think at the moment, they've got Iberia in there and also American Airlines and Qatar Airways are moving in, and there may well be some other Oneworld airlines going in there. Throughout the airport, you'll see signage. It's fixed signage, but it's also on the LED displays high up, and you can see it rotating through, saying all the different things that the airport is doing to try and make passengers safe and also remind them of what the new COVID protocols are. As you can see, the gates weren't busy, certainly mid July, early afternoon. As before, there are lots of self-service check-ins. Those screens are wiped and disinfected regularly, so that gives an opportunity to minimize contact. British Airways is required to do its own temperature checks if you are flying to certain destinations. So for instance, if you're flying to Hong Kong, before you even drop the bags, they'll send you here so that they can test your temperature and make sure that you pass and then I guess you can go through check-in, drop your bags and get ready to go on your way. 'Cause we've all got used to the sight of Perspex, now here, you can see, protecting staff from passengers and also passengers from passengers and in between the two. This looks like something we were set up for. It actually wasn't, the guy didn't know that we were filming him, but it shows just how closely they are cleaning the seating. And then we had this robot explained to us. This is one of the robots that kills the germs in apparently three seconds. It mainly used in the washrooms and toilets of the airport. The guy who was explaining was saying it's such a quite deadly machine. So I don't think it's the sort of thing you walk around on a lead, you try and keep distance from it. And from the sound of things, it's mostly used when the airport is closed to make sure that all the germs are killed off. You will also see as well as the airport itself, British Airways has got lots of hand sanitizers at all the obvious places. And I think Heathrow says it's putting 600 hand sanitizers throughout the whole airport. Then there were the temperature checks. Heathrow's trialling these temperature checks and as you walk into the terminal from various routes, there are temperature checks being done. Having said that, I'd never seen them being done, and I've been to the airport a couple of times, but I was told I was just unlucky and they do have them quite regularly. This is the bit that most people won't see, but it is called the first screen. It's still in operation and this is where if you're a gold or fly gold in the British Airways Executive Club or flying first or Emerald in Oneworld, you'll go through this part and then straight into the lounges. This is the closed entrance to The Concorde Room, which is where if you're flying first or you're top tier level, you could go guest list. It's closed at the moment. I can see it reopening before too long as passenger numbers go up. But at the moment it's closed and everyone at that level is being put into the normal, normal, I said, first lounge. See there's lots of directionals for all of the lounges, way in, way out, one way, flow of traffic so you don't walk straight into people. And then they've put this new system in place. So instead of going to the buffet, you order drinks and food, and to do that, you have to scan the QR code, which you'll see on the tables. And then you scroll through using your phone and select what you want on the menu. Because you've done it from the QR code, it knows what table number you're at and the staff come and serve your drinks and food. I don't know how that will work when there's more and more passengers, but the two times I've used it so far, which was two weeks ago and then just last week, so beginning of July, mid July, it worked very well. Only time will tell. There were a lot of staff there, looking after the passengers but, you know, it just depends how the system works. They're gradually getting used to it, so I think it probably will work.

[4K] London ???????? Heathrow express transfer shuttle to Terminal 5 | Inside Terminal 5

Please join me in getting to Heathrow airport terminal 5. I took the Elizabeth line/Heathrow Express to get to Heathrow airport terminal 5. There's free transfer between terminals and it's very easy and convenient. Just follow the signs and take free ticket as I show you in this video. The only catch is that you have to catch different trains as Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 have separate lines running but both destinations have connection to Terminal 1/2/3 so make sure to check final destination on the train.

The train is very clean and smooth with lots of storage spaces for big luggages and for travellers, there are multiple charging points to help you stay online and connected too.

In this video, I had some spare time before departure so walked around the airport to give you quick tour inside the waiting area/ duty free shops in Terminal 5. I had to catch an early morning flight so bonus view of the beautiful sunrise outside the airport glass window. I filmed some in flight as well and that video coming up soon too. Stay tuned :)

Plaze Premium Heathrow Terminal 5 Lounge Review | Don't Waste Your Money!

Today I'm reviewing the Plaza Premium Lounge at London Heathrow's Terminal 5. I was flying Economy with BA so couldn't go the the British Airways Club Lounge (see my review here: Luckily I was able to access the Plaza Premium Lounge for free with my Amex Platinum. Usually the entry cost is a whopping £48 per person plus an extra £17.60 if you want to use the shower. So please watch my review to find out if it's worth that high cost!

This lounge visit was part of a trip to Belfast where I also review British Airways Economy class in both the Airbus A319 and Embraer E190. So stay tuned for those reviews!
