Nel 1916, nella località di Washoe County, in Nevada, era stato realizzato un pozzo per la captazione d'acqua dagli acquiferi sotterranei. Con il passare del tempo, negli anni Sessanta, l'energia geotermica sotterranea ha riscaldato l'acqua, che trovando una crepa nella struttura del vecchio pozzo ed essendo sottoposta a forte pressione geotermica, ha dato origine ad un getto spontaneo che di fatto ha portato alla creazione di un geyser vero e proprio.
Da quel momento i getti d'acqua sono proseguiti fino ad oggi in maniera continuativa dando origine a un fenomeno analogo al geyser naturale. La pressione e il calore della crosta terrestre hanno spinto verso l'alto l'acqua sotterranea, che a causa dell'usura che ha colpito la struttura del pozzo ha potuto trovare una via d'uscita inaspettata.

2018 Tokyo first Cherry blossoms (Kawazuzakura) - Tokyo - 河津桜 - 4K Ultra HD
The 2018 Sakura season began on March 17th. These Kawazuzakura in Tokyo, along the Tamagawa river, are in full bloom! Even better, Japanese media has announced that other varieties of cherry trees are also starting to bloom all around Tokyo and we expect to have them in full bloom around 10 days from now!
While we will do our best this year again to film some of Japan’s best sakura, please enjoy this almost 7-minute long video of Japan’s most famous Kawazazakura!
