About Hamilton: The City of Hamilton, in Pembroke Parish, is the territorial capital of the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda. It is the territorys financial centre and a major port and tourist destination. Hamilton - views from the capital of Bermuda 4K
Hamilton has been the capital of Bermuda since 1815. It is small but very lively and bears the name of a governor. From the Royal Naval Dockyard, where our Celebrity Summit was located, ferries drove hourly to the global headquarters of Bermuda. What to see in Hamilton ? There are many pastel-colored colonial buildings and exclusive buildings on the front street at the harbor. Here in the big port, cruise ships usually dock every day. It is also one of the islands' tourist centers. You can see the city well from the tower of the stone cathedral. Many small shops invite you to stroll, the modern City Hall with the city administration, the theater and also the Sessions House with Parliament and Supreme Court are easy to see because of the clock tower. If you come by ferry, you will see very beautiful properties on the shores of the tropical tax haven, whose flag is popular with many shipping companies.

Bermuda is a British island territory in the North Atlantic with Hamilton as its main city. Front Street is lined with upscale stores and pastel-colored colonial buildings that face the harbor. There are views of the city from the tower of the stone Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity. Exhibitions on ocean exploration are available from the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute. Turtles and sharks can be found in the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum, and Zoo in the northeast.

This is a short video about Hamilton City, the capital of Bermuda. It's a cruise port and the main commercial hub of the island. For details, go through
The video shows a snapshot of all the main attractions in Hamilton City. This is the main place for shopping, dining and nightlife of Bermuda. There are numerous restaurants with bars here offering various local and international cuisine. Front Street is the main street in Hamilton which runs alongside Hamilton Harbor. This street and ts alleyways, as well as several other streets nearby, have plethoral of stores of all kinds.
City Hall & Art Center is one of the most prominent buildings in Hamilton hosting important events and art exhibitions, one of the main Anglican churches of the island Cathedral of the Most Holi Trinity is located in Hamilton, the Session House building hosts both the Supreme Court and the Parliament.
Other attractions include the historic Fort Hamilton, the Cabinet House, Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute, several lovely city parks like waterfront Barr's Bay Park, Victoria Park which has an old British Band Stand, Queen Elizabeth Park etc. You can take a boat tour on the harbour and enjoy sunset sailing, or take a train trolley ride that takes you through the streets and shows you the main attractions as you sit back and listen to an audio commentary.
Island's Central Bus Terminal is located on Washington Street.... all the main bus routes originate from this main bus terminal, go out to the different parts of the island and return. The main public ferry terminal is also located in Hamilton at the western side of Front Street. Ferries go out to several docks across the island including to the Royal Naval Dockyard (Kings Wharf Port area) located at the western end and return.

La ville de Hamilton est la capitale des Bermudes. Elle possède non seulement une multitude d'hôtels, restaurants et boutiques mais on y retrouve également de nombreux bâtiments historiques, musées, monuments, etc.
La meilleure façon de découvrir cette ville pour en avoir une idée générale est de la parcourir à pied.
Front Street est une des rues les plus fréquentées de Hamilton. Elle est située en bordure de l'eau. La devanture multicolore des commerces ajoute au charme pittoresque de cette ville.
A la jonction de Front Street et Queen Street, il y a une cage métallique appelée Birdcage qui était utilisée autrefois par les policiers pour diriger la circulation.
Le terminal de traversiers est situé à l'extrémité ouest de Front Street. Trois itinéraires sont offerts afin de se déplacer rapidement sur différentes parties de l'île dont la plus éloignée est le port militaire de la Royal Naval (Royal Naval Dockyard).
Tout près du terminal se trouvent deux jolis parcs: Point Pleasant Park et Barr's Bay Park.
Sur la rue Queen, se trouve le bureau de poste de Perot qui a été érigé au XIXe siècle. Ce bâtiment abrite d'ailleurs encore aujourd'hui un bureau de poste.
On y retrouve également de jolis bâtiments colorés dont le Bermudiana Arcade, un centre commercial qui contient des boutiques et des restaurants. A proximité, se trouve même un restaurant Poulet Frit Kentucky (KFC).
Le City Hall and Arts Centre est situé sur Church Street, une artère principale de la ville. Il s'agit d'un immense complexe blanc dont une rose des vents est peinte sur la tour du bâtiment. Il abrite la Galerie nationale des Bermudes qui présente des oeuvres d'art locales et internationales.
Sur Church Street, vous trouverez également Sessions House qui est en fait le parlement. Il a été érigé au début du XIXe siècle. On le reconnaît par sa fameuse tour de l'horloge qui a été construite à la fin du même siècle pour souligner le jubilé d'or de la Reine Victoria.
A l'arrière du parlement, se trouve l'église méthodiste Wesley.
Toujours sur Church Street, nous vous invitons à visiter la Cathédrale de la Très Sainte Trinité (voir vidéo
Elle vaut vraiment le détour. Elle possède de beaux vitraux et elle est ornée de belles sculptures.
A la jonction de Court Street et Victoria Street se trouve une autre jolie église: St. Paul's AME Church.
Nous sommes revenus sur Front Street et nous nous sommes arrêtés devant l'édifice Cabinet Building. C'est à cet endroit que se rassemble le Sénat.
Vous pouvez également accéder à un joli parc, le Queen Elizabeth Park, à partir des escaliers situés sur la rue Par-La-Ville.
