10 CUTE & Funny Animals That Could Kill You! | Amazing Earth

10 CUTE & Funny Animals That Could Kill You! | Amazing Earth

Secret weapon: Cuteness over 9000!

Big Cats

The big cat species addressed in these regulations are the lion, tiger, leopards, cheetah, jaguar, cougar, or any hybrid combination of any of these species. There are around 15,000 big cats kept captive in the United States, and only a small percentage of them are in accredited zoos. This monster version of your cat can threaten lives if they are mishandled or provoked!

Blue-ringed octopus

The tiny blue-ringed octopus is widely regarded as one of the world's most venomous animals. It lives in tidal regions ranging from Australia to Japan and is frequently encountered by people wading in tide pools. If provoked or stepped on, it will bite, releasing a poison that can kill an adult human within minutes!

Cassowary

Wandering the rain forests of Australia and New Guinea, a cassowary looks like a flamboyant ostrich and can charge up to 30 miles per hour. It prefers to keep a low profile, but when disturbed, the cassowary becomes extremely aggressive and territorial. Capable of running and leaping at high speeds, the cassowary attacks by thrusting its large claws forward with the aim of disemboweling its target!

Giant anteater

Anteaters aren't aggressive, but will fight back fiercely if cornered. Carrying powerful and sharp claws, an anteater can maul a human and do an incredible amount of damage. The giant anteater is ferocious enough to fight off animals as aggressive as jaguars and pumas!

Leopard seal

Leopard seals rank alongside killer whales as Antarctica's top predator, according to National Geographic. Sitting at the top of the food chain in its home in the Antarctic, leopard seals are bold, powerful and curious. It has been known to hunt people, but it usually targets penguins.

Pfeffer’s flamboyant cuttlefish

The Flamboyant cuttlefish, is a species of cuttlefish occurring in various parts of the tropical Indo-Pacific waters like northern Australia. Although cuttlefish rarely encounter humans, their poison is considered extremely toxic and can be as lethal as the poison of the blue-ringed octopus. Its charming and bright colors are meant as a warning to anyone!

Poison dart frog

The charismatic colors might catch your eye, but such is also nature's way of telling you to stay away. The two-inch-long golden poison dart frog, for example, has enough venom to kill 10 adult men. The poison dart frog is among the most poisonous creatures on Earth!

Pufferfish

The pufferfish is the second most poisonous vertebrate on the planet. Fishermen recommend the use of thick gloves to avoid poisoning and the risk of getting bitten when removing the hook. The poison of a pufferfish, which has no antidote, kills by paralyzing the diaphragm, causing suffocation!

Slow loris

This animal might look like a harmless, big-eyed baby ewok, but is one of the only poisonous mammals in the world! Its subtle nature makes it popular in the illegal pet trade, but careful, people should stay clear of its toxin, released from the sides of its elbows. When threatened, the loris takes the toxin into its mouth and mixes it with saliva. Do not touch it!

Wolverine

Wolverines are widely known for its aggressive nature, thanks to the popularity of the X-Men comics and movies. Armed with powerful jaws, sharp claws and a thick hide, the wolverine can take down preys as large as a moose and steal food from bears and wolves. While many carnivores avoid feeding on bones, wolverines have extremely strong teeth that can break and eat meat and the bones, fresh or frozen!

10 Rare Animals Born With Extra Body Parts

What happens when an animal is born with extra body parts? We think it means there's just more of them to love! Check out the following 10 who have deformities that makes them awesome, rare, and pretty dang adorable.

1.
The Two-Headed Calf
A two-headed calf is a sight to see, and this one looks almost unreal! Born in the Vista Alegre community of Peru, this cow is a huge target of speculation by locals. Some believe he was sent by the Almighty as a warning of the evils in the world, while others say the calf coming into the world was a mythical birth.

2.
The Kitty With Paws Full of Digits
A cat's paws are necessary tools that help them to get around, grip, and hunt for food. But Cravendale the rescue cat can do much more with hers. Because this kitty has four extra digits, she's able to climb like a pro and pick up objects like a human would!

3.
The Five-Legged Lamb
Named Jake the Peg, this lamb was born in 2011 with one leg to spare. His crazy deformity didn't put a damper on his days, however. He spent time frolicking about his field in Newnham, Northamptonshire with the other young lambs before it was time to remove the extra extremity.

4.
The Two-Nosed Dog
We all know dogs have an impeccable sense of smell, but imagine how heightened this dog's is with a double nose! The German Shepherd was appropriately named Snuffles, and was rejected time after time because of his rare deformity. He finally found a forever home, however, and is now getting the love he deserves.

5.
The Six-Legged, Eight-Hooved Piglet
This strange piglet was born in the Sichuan Province of China, and according to his owner he has seven other siblings who came out normal as can be. Its extra two legs hang below his belly but he doesn't make use of them when getting around. Where are his extra hooves? There are six at the ends of his legs and a couple extra sticking out of his mid-section.

6.
The Three-Eyed Cow
You could say this three-eyed cow was born in the perfect place for its deformity, because the Hindu locals of southern India where it was born have hailed it as a blessing! The cow's owner named it Shiva, and believes it to be the reincarnation of three-eyed Hindu God it's named after. Many people travel to visit Shiva to this day in order to touch and pray to it for good fortune.

7.
The Three-Horned Goat
This goat from Saudi Arabia is called a polycerate goat, meaning he has three horns on his body. This is extremely uncommon, but his case is even more strange considering his third has grown out of his back, just to the right of his spine!

8.
The Five-Legged Racehorse
Meet Spare Parts, the horse that was born with an extra leg and nearly euthanized because of her rare deformity. It wasn't actually an entire leg, but rather an extra cannon bone, fetlock, and foot. The extremity came out of her right front leg, and amputating it allowed for her to be the amazing racehorse she was originally bred to be.

9.
The Two-Headed Slug
This rare find wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for a couple divers with a camera! This sea slug, also known as a nudibranch, was discovered off the coast of Sabah in eastern Malaysian Borneo. Marine experts say it's likely a birth defect or pollution that caused this strange and uncommon deformity.

10.
The Animal with an Deformity Advantage
Moles are excellent at digging, which is due to the advantage of an extra thumb on each of their paws that is far different from the five-digits seen on most animals. This thumb, in actuality, is anything but a thumb. It is, rather, an extended wrist bone that increases surface area and strength for extremely efficient digging.

992/5000
The wilderness trail through the Eifel National Park lives up to its name: Narrow paths meander over 85 kilometers through dense forests with fallen trees, over stormy heights, past streams, wildflower meadows and small villages. Tamina Kallert walks the first of the four stages through the wild Eifel, where nature is allowed to be nature again. On the nearly 25 kilometers from Monschau-Höfen to Einruhr Tamina Kallert meets again and again the blogger Silvana Brangenberg and her hybrid Cabo. Together they spend the night in the Sternenpark. An old acquaintance is Michael Lammertz from the Eifel National Park, the inventor of the trail. He knows a forest area in which the jungle is already recognizable. Tamina Kallert also discovers attractions off the beaten path of the National Park: she cycles around Lake Urftsee, visits Steinfeld Abbey, enjoys a Moroccan evening in the village of Schmidt and feels like an amazon in archery near Hellenthal.
