Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh was always so high on my bucket list and I finally made it here last month! It has been such an incredible journey with the most fulfilling return to a state that I’ve been to 4 times already. And everybody has showered nothing but love on me. For which I’m extremely grateful!
In today’s video, we are visiting Bumla Pass, Chakzam, Rice Bowl, Holy Waterfall and a few more local hot spots that are just so beautiful. Tawang feels like a natural marvel every step of the way and wherever you look. SO BEAUTIFUL!!

Chitkul (or Chittkul) is a village in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. It is the last inhabited village near the Indo-China border. The Indian road ends here. During winters, the place mostly remains covered with the snow and the inhabitants move to lower regions of Himachal.

Mechuka also known as Menchukha is a small town nestled 6,000 feet (1,829 m) above sea level in the Mechuka Valley in West Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh, India. This, Mechuka Valley is a wonderful Valley surrounding 360degrees snow capped mountains with Yargyapchu river flows. The name Men-chu-kha means medicinal water of snow where men is medicine, chu is water and kha is snow though kha also means mouth. Menchukha is located in a forested valley, surrounded by pine trees and thornbushes. The popular name for Menchukha is Mechuka.
In this Mechuka Town the population of only 7000people in total this whole valley has only one Bank Branch with ATM, one petrol pump and Only BSNL Cellular Network is available in Mechuka valley.
Mechuka is 180 kms distance from Aalo and is only 29 kms away from Indo-China border.
In this April 2021 we visited Mechuka in Arunachal Pradesh from Kolkata and our roadtrip started from Dibrugarh to Mechuka via Pasighat.
This video is all about the culture and hospitality of Mechuka Traditional home, we visited one of traditional home at Mechuka village and explored their culture.
# How to reach Mechuka from Guwahati/Silapathar/Itanagar
From Guwahati, one can board Lachit Express to Silapathar (9.5 hours journey) or Donyi Polo Express to Naharlagun.
From Silapathar, shared taxis are available to Along (around 6 hours).
And from Naharlagun, shared taxis are available to Itanagar (40 minutes ride). Then change over to taxis heading towards Along (around 8 hours). Halt the night at Along. Book another shared taxi from Along which usually is available in the early morning (8 hours journey).
# Places to stay in Mechuka {mechuka homestay / hotels in mechuka}
Due to the recent influx of tourists in the valley, many families have opened up their homes as homestays with basic facilities. Some of them are – Gayboo’s traditional lodge, Grace homestay, Yargyap Chhu homestay, etc. All these are within walking distance from the town.
We were stay in there at “Hotel Menchukha Paradise”, Gandhi Market, Menchuka.

Hello the universe
while returning from zido village where i stayed at night with amazing people of villagers,
may 2022 turned out to an great and adventurous month for me, what a lovely morning it was,
i went to explore the bramhaputra river or the siang river known as locally, it was rainy morning
around 8 am walking over the the adventurous bamboo hanging bridge,
there i meet some local people of zido villagers, it was showering heavily,
then i return back to tuting while getting lift by a man with the scorpio upto tuting town,
here comes the main moment, on the way i meet goemedo sir the nicest and simple human being i ever met till date, who invited me to his house, offer me his bike for traveling to the gelling even gave me his rain coat for safety,
here i bought the most expensive petrol of india INR 130 PL,
while going towards gelling you will see many waterfalls, i stoped by a huge waterfall on road side, not to forget worst roads of india, driving was very very tough & crazy,
the most craziest road i ever drove,
