Inside the Infamous CHUNGKING MANSIONS! [4K]
Whereas the illegalities in Chungking Mansions are widely known, the wondrousness of the place is not. This was how a famous anthropologist described Chungking Mansions, and perfectly sums up this building, if I may say. Chungking Mansions is a building located at Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. It features guesthouses, curry restaurants, African bistros, clothing shops, sari stores, and foreign exchange offices and a lot more. Chungking Mansions rose to fame after being the backdrop of the 1994 Wong Kar-wai movie, Chunking Express. While it is celebrated as a melting pot of cultures, the building is also mired due to some recorded criminal activities and the deteriorating quality of the building facilities. Nonetheless, this building has so much to offer and will continue to be the heart of TST. Join me in this video as we explore this labyrinth of multicultural diversity and get a sense of why this place earns its reputation today.

Chungking Mansions is located in one of the busiest districts of Hong Kong; it is very close to the Tsim Sha Tsui Station and East Tsim Sha Tsui Station of the MTR. Several airport buses run by it (A21 No14-Bus Stop).
Chungking Mansions contains the largest number of guest houses in Hong Kong in one building, with 1980 rooms in total. Since it offers some of the cheapest rates in town, it has become a legendary haunt for backpackers and budget travellers.

It is a 10-minute walk from Harbor City, Star Ferry and Avenue of Stars. Hong Kong International Airport is a 35-minute drive away. Rooms come with a flat-screen TV. LESSON LEARNED: Reasearch and don't trust photos too much. Here's our experience in Hotel Venus in Chung King Mansion when we went to Hong Kong. The room was clean-ish. But we had to transfer cause our parents got kicked out of their room.
