Hong Kong Tramways Tour - Travel On a Double-decker Tram｜4K HDR｜Summer in HK 2022 | Over 1 hr ASMR
Hong Kong Tramways is a 3 ft 6 in (1,067 mm) narrow-gauge tram system in Hong Kong. The tramway runs on Hong Kong Island between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, with a branch circulating through Happy Valley.
Hong Kong's tram system is one of the earliest forms of public transport in the metropolis, having opened in 1904 under British rule. It has used electric trams since its inauguration, and has never used horse or steam power. It owns the world's largest operational double-decker tram fleet, and is a very rare example of a tram system that uses them exclusively.
The system is popular with tourists, and is one of the most environmentally friendly ways of travelling in the city. Hong Kong people informally call the tramway the Ding Ding and the trams as Ding Dings, in reference to the double-bell ring used by the trams to warn pedestrians of their approach.
Relative to buses and the subway system, trams are often the cheapest public transportation option. As of 31 July 2022, HKT fares are $3.0 for adults, $1.5 for children, and $1.3 for senior citizens. Passengers pay upon alighting by either depositing the exact fare in coins into the farebox, or by using an Octopus card.[17] Turnstiles at the tram entrances and closed circuit television prevent fare evasion by passengers.
The trams run on a double-track tram line built parallel to the northern coastline of Hong Kong Island from Kennedy Town to Shau Kei Wan, with a single clockwise-running track of about 3 km (1.9 mi) around the Happy Valley Racecourse.

Shek Tong Tsui ↔ Causeway Bay
Shek Tong Tsui ↔ North Point
Western Market ↔ Shau Kei Wan

Sightseeing tours are available on antique-style tramcar No. 68, which has an open balcony and a historical exhibit on board. Sightseeing tram boarding and alighting take place at the sightseeing tour termini: Western Market and Causeway Bay.

As the central business district of Hong Kong, it is the area where many multinational financial services corporations have their headquarters. Consulates general and consulates of many countries are also located in this area, as is Government Hill, the site of the government headquarters. Lan Kwai Fong (often abbreviated as LKF) is a small square of streets in Central, Hong Kong. It is now a popular expatriate haunt in Hong Kong for drinking, clubbing and dining.

Hong Kong Island (Chinese: 香港島; Cantonese Yale: Hēunggóng dóu) is an island in the southern part of Hong Kong. The Central area on the island is the historical, political and economic centre of Hong Kong. The northern coast of the island forms the southern shore of the Victoria Harbour, which is largely responsible for the development of Hong Kong due to its deep waters favoured by large trade ships.
The island is home to many of the most famous sights in Hong Kong, such as The Peak, Ocean Park, many historical sites and various large shopping centres. Victoria Peak is a hill on the western half of Hong Kong Island. It is also known as Mount Austin, and locally as The Peak. With an elevation of 552 m (1,811 ft), it is the highest hill on Hong Kong island, ranked 31 in terms of elevation in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Tai Mo Shan is the highest point in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with an elevation of 957 m (3,140 ft)).
The summit is occupied by a radio telecommunications facility and is closed to the public. However, the surrounding area of public parks and high-value residential land is the area that is normally meant by the name The Peak. It is a major tourist attraction that offers views of Central, Victoria Harbour, Lamma Island, and the surrounding islands.

Walking around the densely packed, neon/LED-lit streets after dark made me feel as though I was walking around a futuristic city, immediately reminding me of one of my favorite films, Blade Runner.

As the work continues to prepare the full travel video for release, I have put together this second preview using footage from the travel video.
As with the first preview, this one is cinematic in nature, aspiring to show the ' cyberpunk ' side of Hong Kong. My inspiration was the ambiance from the 1982 sci-fi film classic ' Blade Runner '.

My next travel tour video explores Hong Kong.
Although the travel video is not ready for release yet, I have put together this short preview.
The travel video itself shall be in the same style as my previous travel videos. But, I wanted to have some fun with this preview and edit it in the manner of one of my favorite movies featuring actor / martial arts legend Bruce Lee. The film is Enter The Dragon.

Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong Info:
Tsim Sha Tsui (Chinese: 尖沙咀), often abbreviated as TST, is an urban area in southern Kowloon, Hong Kong. The area is administratively part of the Yau Tsim Mong District. Tsim Sha Tsui East is a piece of land reclaimed from the Hung Hom Bay now east of Tsim Sha Tsui. The area is bounded north by Austin Road and in the east by Hong Chong Road and Cheong Wan Road.
Geographically, Tsim Sha Tsui is a cape on the tip of the Kowloon Peninsula pointing towards Victoria Harbour, opposite Central. Several villages had been established in this location before Kowloon was ceded to the British Empire in 1860. Tsim Sha Tsui in Chinese means sharp sandspit. It was also known as Heung Po Tau (香埗頭), i.e. a port for exporting incense tree.
Tsim Sha Tsui is a major tourist hub in Hong Kong, with many high-end shops and restaurants that cater to tourists. Many of Hong Kong's museums are located in the area.
