SLOVENIA | Hiking in the Julian Alps: Tolmin Gorge & Slap Kozjak
Welcome back to another Slovenia vlog! Today we are exploring the beauty of the Julian Alps!
In this video we take 2 short hikes in Triglav National Park.
First, we did a short 3.5km hike to one of Slovenia's most stunning waterfalls. This short hike is called Slap Kozjak. The hike is right outside of Kobarid and is part of the Kobarid Historic Trail that highlights all the major sites in the area. You could consider hiking the historic trail if you wanted something longer!
The next day we hiked the Tolmin Gorge, also known as Tolminska Korita. It is a gorgeous natural wonder and one of the most popular attractions in the Soča Valley area. This hike should take you no more than 1.5 hours to see all the viewpoints. This hike was a highlight of our time in Slovenia, although we enjoyed every moment we spent in this beautiful country!

Solo Hiking for 3 Days in the Julian Alps (Slovenia)
Join my epic 3 days of solo hiking through the majestic Julian Alps in Slovenia. ????️ This adventure took me on a 12km journey each day through the enchanting Seven Lakes Valley and the wild mountains, reaching an elevation of about 6,000+ft (2,000m) high.
Beginning in the quaint village of Stara Fuzina in the North of Slovenia, I conquered the rugged & steep terrain toward Vodnikov Dom, marveling at beautiful landscapes like the Devil's Bridge and the carved Mostnica Gorge.
Despite facing moments of defeat and extreme fatigue, the awe-inspiring views and diverse alpine landscapes make every step worthwhile!! As the journey progresses, it's impossible not to be inspired by the sheer beauty of the Slovenian mountains. The emotional rollercoaster of this hike - filled with challenges, exhilaration, and even the loss of a drone ???? serves as a testament to the power of solo hiking adventures.

I spent 7 days travelling round one of Europe's best kept secrets, the gorgeous country of Slovenia.
Starting in the picturesque capital of Ljubljana, I then made my way round to Lake Bohinj, where I took the cable car up to Mt Vogel.
I went white water rafting near Bled before swimming in the crystal clear waters of Lake Bled itself.
Then I travelled round to the Soča Valley and stayed in Bovec where I went canyoning, zip-lining and took the cable car up to Mt Kanin.

On this episode, after jumping a fence I started hitchhiking from a rest stop outside Graz in Austria. A truck driver took me to Slovenia outside Maribor, where I wandered a bit and stayed at Lucija'a home for 1 night. The next morning, I hitchhiked to a village in the magnificent Slovenian countryside, to meet with my host Boris and his friend Max. All together we had an adventure, but... I don't know!

Slovenia-Trekking In Triglav National Park
August, 2023. The highlight of our trip through Slovenia was a five day trek in Triglav National Park. We summited Mt. Triglav on day two, and spent the rest of the trek hiking through the incredible mountains and staying at picturesque huts along the way. We couldn’t have asked for better weather and we really feel the Julian Alps is now one of our favorite hiking destinations.

HIKING IN SLOVENIA - 1 month hiking in this amazing country
Although Slovenia is a small country, our one-month-experience there was quite intense! We hiked in marvellous places like the Soča river, the lake Bled, the Krajinski park, the surprising lake Cerknica and the Krizna cave. Our thru-hike in Slovenia also led us to meet outstanding people and to make good friends.
Our 13th guest, Paul, made of his stay an unforgettable week for us!!
