Here's out guide to visiting the Island of Utila. Located in Honduras Utila is part of the Bay Islands. In this episode we explore the island, show you around some of the best places to visit, go diving and give you a taste of Island life.
Utila attracts lots of scuba divers as it has fabulous diving at reasonable prices. If you are looking to do a diving qualification then Utila is a great place to do it. We went diving with Parrots Dive Center, which was a very professionally run centre and is owned by locals.

Travel Guide to Utila Honduras, Transportation,Food, Diving centers first experience.
Utila is one the bay Islands of Honduras, in the Caribbean north of the mainland. its know for its coral reefs and many dives sites, this last one being the main reason for my visit. I went to Utila to get my Open Water Diver Certificate. process that I enjoyed a lot and a challenge that will be in all future conversations with friends.
the population in the Island is 4160
the island is 6 miles long and about 1 mile or so wide.
90% of the people in the Island are visitors, and in the majority scuba divers instructors and student that come to get their certification,

Transportation Around the Island: If you plan to stay in any place away from the town center, then it is highly recommended you find a good tuk tuk driver and get his whatsapp contact information. A tuk tuk driver can be hired for about $20+ a day (prices have gone up with more travelers) and this will allow you to get a ride anytime, get your errands done and it is a lot cheaper than buying per trip ($7-$15 per trip). Scuba Diving
There are ample diving sites all around the island and for the most part, the water currents are mild and safe. Some of the diving companies that operate on the island that you may want to consider include: Utila Dive center, Alton’s dive center, Gunter’s ecomarine dive center, and Parrots dive shop.
Restaurants
The two most recommended places are Mango Tango and El Castillo. Other places to eat include Che Pancho, Mario’s Place, Rio coco Cafe and Hot spot Cafe. Breakfast is usually under $5 and you can have a decent lunch/supper for $10-$15.

Traveling to Utila Honduras 2021 - Everything You Need to Know
Everything you need to know for traveling to Utila Honduras. Join me as I fly into San Pedro Sula and make the journey to La Ceiba where I catch the Utila Dream Ferry over to the remote island of Utila! We'll go all around the island and find some great places to eat and even do some scuba diving to see the second largest barrier reef, swim with whale sharks, and then hop over to one of the smaller uninhabited islands (Water Cay).

Welcome to Utila, Honduras! It is considered by many to be the best or second best spot for scuba diving on the entire planet. It's also a great place to unwind, slow down, and drink a cold beer while enjoying a sunset. I spent nine days here and enjoyed it immensely. It is less expensive and touristy than the neighboring island of Roatan and highly recommended if you're visiting Honduras.

HOW TO FLY to and from UTILA HONDURAS | Travel Vlog
Utila, Honduras is one of the Bay Islands and a popular destination for scuba diving and snorkeling. There are two ways on and off the island. The first is the ferry, which is highly recommended and a pleasant and quick journey.
The second is by private air charter. I got stuck in Utila during a stormfront and all ferries were canceled. I booked a private charter with Bay Islands Air Chartered (not sponsored) to get off the island quickly so as not to miss my plane to Nicaragua.

Exploring Utila Honduras (2019) Adventure Kayaking and Scuba Diving
In this episode we continue exploring the beautiful island of Utila in Honduras. On our last day on Utila, we have a very adventurous day. We kayak (Canoe) across the island for about 45 mins, through the mangroves and arrive on the northern shore.
We then paddle to a small island, leave the kayak, put on our scuba gear and have a wonderful hours dive before heading back for a picnic on a deserted beach.
It was a wonderful way to spend our last day on the island . - Thank you to Parrots Dive Center for arranging it

Digging For Hidden Treasure In The Bay Islands Of Honduras
To this day, you can still find in the Bay Islands many pirate artifacts like an ancient rhum bottle from the 17th century. Although we didn't find a pirate treasure ourselves, we still had a blast exploring one of the most remote archaeology sites of Roatan: the caves of St. Helene. We even stumbled upon some old pottery relics deep in the island's jungle! You'll have to watch the full video to see the basecampers play archaeologist:

In this video I will be showing you my daily life living and working in Utila. I was working as a divemaster and an online English teacher whilst also editing and uploading YouTube vlogs. I'll also be showing you a lot of the things to do in Utila. I spent a total of 2 months living in Utila and this video is going to show you some of the things I did in my first 6 weeks there! I was working as a divemaster between Underwater Vision and Captain Morgans and I did a few fun dives at Paradise Divers which is where I learnt to dive 2 years ago!
About 2 years ago, I made a Utila travel guide and this video is going to show you some new things to do in Utila. A lot had changed on the island since I last visited so this is sort of an updated travel guide to Utila, Honduras. I love scuba diving in Utila and want to share the beauty of this island with you all! I highly recommend visiting Utila on your trip to Central America!
This was one of my stops on my trip solo backpacking around Central America. Utila is always going to be a special place for me and I hope to have many more trips there in the future! In my opinion, Utila is the best place in the world to learn to dive because of the beautiful reef (second largest barrier reef in the world), the warm waters and it is one of the cheapest places in the world to dive!
