Such a beautiful Island - we all found it a fantastic holiday resort - beautiful beaches and lovely locals.
The Channel Islands are a group of British dependency islands in the English Channel, off the coast of France.
The largest, Jersey, is known for beaches and cliff trails.
Just outside the main town of St. Helier, the Jersey War Tunnels complex details the island’s WWII German occupation.
Medieval Mont Orgueil Castle is on a hill on the east coast. Northwest is the island of Guernsey, with its capital, St. Peter Port.

Bluebell Woods, Guernsey | Channel Islands | 4K UltraHD
Located at the southern end of St Peter Port, within walking distance of the town centre, you will find Bluebell Woods. Aptly named, in springtime the woodland floor becomes a carpet of blue flowers beneath the budding tree canopy. A wonderful place to walk at any time of year with trails leading onto the cliff paths and wonderful views from the south-east of the island.
The island of Guernsey boasts some of the most unique, varied and beautiful walks you’ll find anywhere in the British Isles, from the sweeping sandy beaches of the west coast to the stunning steep cliffs in the south. What better way to indulge in island life than embark on one of the island’s most beautiful walks.
Start your route from the bottom of the steps alongside Guernsey Aquarium in St Peter Port and aim for Fermain Bay, which will take you via the stunning woods. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the unforgettable sight of the bluebells in bloom!

DJI Mavic Mini 4K - Lihou Island & L'eree Gun Battery | Guernsey, Channel Islands *
This is the first 4K footage I’ve managed to upload with the DJI Mavic Mini. See below for details•
Lihou Island is a small island off the west coast of Guernsey. At high tide it is only reachable by boat. At low tide, it is accessible by foot along a narrow causeway that reveals itself as the water recedes.
The farmhouse on the island was built in the 1970s and replaces the old farmhouse that used to stand on the island, which was destroyed by the Germans during WW2 after they used it as target practice, firing from the L'eree Gun Battery tower located a short distance away on the mainland.
This video accompanies the Guernsey Coastal Walk Part 9 video
as it was too windy to fly the DJI Mavic Mini that day.
*Video shot at 2.7K on the DJI Mavic Mini 1 and upscaled to 4K. This is similar to the footage that the new DJI MINI 2 is capable of and should be watched on a 4K monitor/screen for the best results.
If I decide to get the Mini2 then I will do a footage comparison video.

Light in Motion, Guernsey - Timelapse Film [4k]
A short timelapse film featuring beautiful coastal scenes from Guernsey - a small island in the English Channel off the shores of Normandy. I've been living here for past several years and became fascinated with its rugged coastal features and amazing sunsets and sunrises.
Most of the footage was shot in 2019 and 2020, although there are some older scenes too. Working on assembling and finalizing this project really helped me keep myself busy and engaged during the bizarre times in spring of 2020.
