Welcome to Frog TV -- I'm Adam Baker.
I'm reporting from the luxury, boutique hotel--Villa Buena Onda, here in Guanacaste, Costa Rica's most northern region and the theme for this video.

This province has plenty tours and activities, as well as some wonderful culture and wildlife. It also has some best hotels and resorts found in Costa Rica. So let's have a look --
at some of the highlights.

Guanacaste is the most popular destination in Costa Rica for visitors. Mainly due to its beautiful, sun drenched beaches that stretch along the north-west coastline.
The close proximity of the provincial capital: Liberia - along with its International Airport - means most of the hotels and resorts are less than 1 hour away.
It is the most sparsely populated area of Costa Rica, and so offers many, amazing natural vistas across the mountainous countryside - down to the golden coastline.
The Guanacasteco culture is unique in Costa Rica, and is historically set apart from the rest of the country, with its laid back, relaxed lifestyle much of which is focused around the cultivation of the land and the local 'Sabaneros'.
The area receives little rainfall and has consistent, excellent weather from November to April, resulting in striking tropical dry-forest surroundings and rich wildlife.

There are many great tours in the area. The Buena Vista Tour will take you above -- and below the Canopy of the forest, and the thermal volcanic hot springs are the perfect place to relax after a long, adventurous day.
Discover the rich, aquatic life in the clear waters of the Pacific Ocean, whilst diving in amongst the famous Catalina Islands. Here you will find over 25 great dive spots that are popular with many divers.
Some of Costa Rica's best - sports-fishing, is found along Guanacaste's shoreline, offering up plenty of good catches.

For entertainment and nightlife, look no further than the town of Tamraindo. Renowned for its world-class surfing and chilled-out party scene makes Tamarindo an exciting option for tourists.

Guanacaste offers the best choice in Costa Rica for luxury hotels and resorts. You will find many great, world renowned names such as the The Hilton, The Four Seasons and the JW Marriot.
The Westin Conchal - stands out for its unrivaled location on the beautiful Conchal beach, along with its tantalizing,
all-inclusive meal plan.
This 5 Star resort offers a number of great activities on site and is only 45 minutes away from the Liberia Airport.

A smaller option might be the Cala Luna hotel.
It's found just a stone's throw away from the sea, in a peaceful, serene setting just outside the town of Tamarindo. Cala Luna offers fine, eloquent Villas and Suites that cater to groups, families and couples.

For a true luxurious, authentic experience of Guanacaste visit the boutique Villa Buena Onda Hotel. Hidden, in the secluded hills above the relaxed town of Coco, will you find this exquisite, 7 bedroom property that is only 20 minutes away from the airport.
The spacious ocean view suites make it perfect location for romantic escapes. It can also be rented as a private Villa for families and groups.
The personalized service is unsurpassed, and with the delicious, meal plan - means you'll experience a true sense of the area, in an unforgettable setting.

So, that wraps up this video for Costa Rica's gold coast, here in Guanacaste. And as you can see behind me, the beaches are absolutely beautiful. Now I'm heading down to Costa Rica's Central Pacific Coast to check out some of the rainforest.
Reporting for Frog TV, I'm Adam Baker.
Hasta La Proxima.

Costa Rica Travel Vlog: Spending a Week in Guanacaste [4K]

Costa Rica is a beautiful country with diverse landscapes and interesting attractions. If you're looking for an affordable place to go on vacation, I recommend Guanacaste. This region is known for its golden beaches and lush jungles. There are plenty of things to see and do in Guanacaste, so here are a few of my favorites:

First, the beaches are definitely worth a visit. The coastline is dotted with quaint villages and secluded coves. My personal favorite beach was Playa Hermosa, known for its crystal-clear waters and white sand beaches.

Another must-see attraction is the Rincon de la Vieja National Park. This park is home to a variety of wildlife, including howler and white-faced monkeys, tree frogs, and lots of birds. There are also hot springs in the area for a relaxing time when you're done exploring.

Guanacaste is a region in the northwest of Costa Rica that humans have inhabited for at least 5,000 years. The most significant archaeological finds to date are from the Chorotega culture, which dates back to 400 AD. They lived in small villages and had an intimate knowledge of their land and its resources.

Guanacaste today continues this tradition with organic farming, such as coffee production and cocoa cultivation. This sustainable agricultural practice has led to a booming ecotourism industry centered on eco-friendly hotels like La Casona de la Selva Jungle Lodge near Liberia.

With so many opportunities for adventure tourism like kayaking through the mangroves or ziplining through the jungle canopy, it's no wonder that Guanacaste is one of the most visited regions in Costa Rica.

Only a week in Guanacaste Costa Rica what should I see

Only a week in Guanacaste Costa Rica what should I see?

What to see on your trip to the western side of Costa Rica?

After landing at Liberia’s Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport, there is no shortage of variety for those seeking relaxation, adventure, and every preference in between. Careful planning enables you to cover a lot of ground in the space of one week.

Costa Rica’s northernmost Pacific coast is bordered by Santa Rosa National Park, just a short drive north of Liberia. It is one of the world’s most important protected tropical dry forest habitats and also a storied battleground site.

Not far northeast of Santa Rosa is Guanacaste National Park, within the same protected dry forest and wildlife corridor connecting with Rincón de la Vieja National Park to the southeast. Getting to the park northbound from Liberia takes about 35 minutes.

Volcano views are on offer in this region of the country too, including Rincón de la Vieja, which recently let off a little steam.

In the same national park vicinity, you can choose favorite activity packages from bathing in waterfall pools,

Hey guys, this is Samantha and welcome to another Mytanfeet video. in this video We are going to do part 1 of day trips in Guanacaste and these are going to be the best day trips from Tamarindo, Playas del Coco or any of the neighboring beaches. We have a lot to share with you so let's go.

Number one on our list is Rio Celeste, the sky blue river inside Tenorio Volcano National Park. Rio Celeste is the perfect day trip for hiking and nature lovers, as you will be trekking through the lush rainforest to see the waterfall and sky blue river. The entire trail is around 6 kilometers or 3.5 miles and is a must see in Costa Rica.

The next best day trip in Guanacaste is Diamante Eco Adventure Park. This adventure park is excellent for families as they have an animal sanctuary with daily sloth feeding presentations, a traditional house for a cultural experience of chocolate, coffee and sugar cane and one of the most exciting ziplining tours in the country. Their 1.3 kilometer oceanview zipline is a must do in Costa Rica for adrenaline junkies. They also offer an excellent lunch buffet.

Next is one of our most highly recommended day trips from Playas del Coco or Tamarindo, Palo Verde National Park. The Palo Verde day trip consists of a safari boat tour down the Tempisque River to see wildlife such as iguanas, bats, monkeys, crocodiles and river birds. It doesn't require any strenuous activity so Palo Verde is the perfect day trip in Guanacaste for those who are visiting with seniors or young kids as you will be riding a covered motorized riverboat and it takes about half a day so you can be back at your hotel by mid afternoon. Palo Verde offers a highly interesting and educational wildlife watching experience for all visitors.

The next day trip in Guanacaste is for the surfers, a surf trip to Witch's Rock. There are a ton of surfing beaches in Guanacaste including Tamarindo but for those looking for the ultimate surf experience, a Witch's Rock surf trip is a must. You'll boat about an hour from Playas del Coco to the iconic surf spot inside Santa Rosa National Park and on heavy days with a swell, waves can get up to 6 feet or more, ideal for those dreaming of getting barrelled in Costa Rica. On normal days, waves are absolutely perfect for longboarding and shortboarding, with long, open and glassy A-frame waves.

The last day trip in this video is the La Leona waterfall hike. This waterfall hike is only 30 minutes from Liberia and you'll be hiking in the tropical dry forest, swimming in a beautiful blue river and climbing through caves and canyons to get to a hidden cave waterfall. The La Leona waterfall hike is definitely for those looking for a memorable outdoor activity and after the fun hike, you can relax in their natural blue river pools.

I hope you guys enjoyed the video and if you're interested in any of these activities, we have links to our posts in the description below for more details and you can contact us if you want to book any of these tours. Thanks for watching and we'll see you in the next one.

Top 5 Costa Rica Mistakes - Know Before You Go!

Top 5 Mistakes to Avoid on Vacation to Costa Rica
Welcome to Frog TV – I’m Adam Baker
Let’s Stop and THINK for a moment! What are the 5 Top Mistakes to AVOID when booking your vacation to Costa Rica!
In at Number 1 – Biggest Mistake Not booking with a Local in-country Travel Agent!
Be very wary of large travel sites as they team up with the big all-inclusive resorts to get as many sales as they can for income. The problem with this - is that they promote deals for sales over client experience. We highly recommend moving away from the all-inclusive options and experience the boutique hotels that offer far better service and value for money.
When using online sites you can expect inaccurate information, doctored pictures, inaccurate reviews and poor descriptions. But the biggest thing is the lack of customer service! With online travel sites and local US agents they cannot help you if things go awry when on vacation. You can try and solve an issue but you may well be on hold for hours, eating away at your valuable vacation time.

We have none of these problems. When booking your trip we encourage you to ask us as many questions as you can – so your trip really is perfect for you. Take advantage of the human factor. And if you have an issue in country our 24/7 travel experience team are always there.

In at Number 2 - Staying at only 1 destination or staying at too many! You only have a week so don’t waste it by staying at one hotel! Costa Rica has so much to offer. However on the flip side - do not try and fit too much in to see it all! Costa Rica will be here again for a repeat visit.
Our general rule is 2 destinations for 7 days, 3 destinations, for 9 to 11 days and 4 to 5 destinations for up to 2 weeks.

For Number 3 - Avoid Traveling during the ‘High Season’.
You’ll find traveling here during the high season is extremely hot and dry and very busy! It even rains more on the Caribbean side and around the Arenal Volcano- the adventure capitol. So if you can try to travel during the transition months – April to June and October to December. Plus the prices are lower as well!

In at Number 4 - Comparing it to Mexico or Hawaii!
Don’t expect the same kind of experience. Get out of your comfort zone. There are so many things to do away from the hotels and resorts. Costa Rica is a country to be seen and explored. With a great number of tours and destinations. And remember you cannot stay at the beach and visit the volcano in a day. Costa Rica is not an island like Hawaii so it’s worth splitting your trip up. Tourism plays a big role in Costa Rica, so the service is excellent and the people friendly and welcoming.

Finally for Number 5 – Avoid Waiting till the last minute to book your trip! BIG, big error. Every year Costa Rica is becoming more and more popular. The hotels book up fast especially the better ones. So if you want your first pick aim to book around 6-8 months in advance. This way you may well find better deals on airfare as well as hotels. And if you can try to avoid Christmas it’s the busiest 2 weeks of the year and the costs sky rocket!

So there we go – our Top 5 Mistakes to avoid when booking your vacation to Costa Rica. Of course it goes without saying that the 6th mistake would be not booking with us! So click here to start your dream journey with Costa Rican Vacations! If you’re not convinced just yet check out our testimonials page as we’re very proud of the memories we’ve created.

Welcome to frog tv - I'm Adam Baker.

For this episode I'm here at the picturesque Arenas del Mar rainforest resort. Behind me you can see the iconic cathedral point - one of the most famous views here in Costa Rica, it is of course the Manuel Antonio National park.
In this video we'll be focusing on some of the highlights of this lush rainforest-beach location that offers the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.

Manuel Antonio is located on Costa Rica's lush, Central Pacific Coast and is around a three hour drive from the capital - San Jose, or a short 20 minute domestic flight into the Quepos Airport.

The areas enviable location on the Central Pacific ensures warm, tropical year-round weather, meaning there is plenty to choose from year round between the beach and rainforest.

Established in 1972 the Manuel Antonio National Park is the smallest National Park in the country, and yet it remains one of the most visited. In 2011, Forbes named it 'one of the 12 most beautiful national parks in the world.'
The protected area is home to hundreds of species, including many famous faces such as the three-toed sloth, the capuchin, howler and squirrel monkey, as well as many feathered friends.

The area offers a great selection of exciting tours. Everything from parasailing to surf lessons, and rainforest nature hikes to adrenaline fueled ATV tours. The small beachfront village also offers a fine variety of local arts and crafts for souvenirs, making this area perfect for everyone.

Being one of the most popular places to visit in Costa Rica means you have plenty of fine options when it comes to hotels.
The Arenas del Mar Resort has perhaps the best location of all. Located on the beach, it overlooks the National Park from within the rainforest - offering breathtaking views and easy beach access. With its renowned service, comfortable suites and fine dining, means Arenas del Mar is perfect for romantic getaways & connecting with nature.

For larger groups Buena Vista Villas is ideal. This property has its own private access to a secluded beach that is surrounded by wildlife. The two and three bedroom villas are great for families, and it's location just above the local town means there are many good dining spots nearby.
For a smaller, intimate boutique hotel La Mansion Inn provides the answer. Offering an exciting selection of suites, fine views from the sky lounge, and fresh bistro meals at the Jacques Cousteau Restaurant. The famous 'Bat Cave' bar is undoubtedly a highlight - making your stay here utterly unique.

Now don't just take his word for it - this region is truly amazing. Going from tropical rainforest to golden sand beaches in a matter steps!

Catch me next time for more info on everything Costa Rica!
