Gringos in Monterrey: La Huasteca and Chipinque (con subtítulos)

Welcome to the beautiful natural beauty of La Huasteca and Chipinque in Monterrey/Nuevo Leon! After our first trip to Monterrey you all flooded the comment section about all of the things we missed out on! Your suggestions did not let us down! In today's Monterrey vlog we first explored the area of La Huasteca, located just 20 minutes from downtown Monterrey. I would describe La Huasteca as wicked.. You will have to watch the video to see why ????

Second, we explored the beautiful Parque Ecologico Chipinque. It could not look and feel more different than la Huasteca!

From Paseos Monterrey:
In the Sierra Madre Oriental, within the limits of the Cumbres de Monterrey National Park, there is this natural area of 1,791 hectares covering altitudes of 730 to 2,200 meters above sea level, with representative flora and fauna from the xerophilous scrub to the Pine-oak forest. With an excellent climate and an average annual temperature of 21 degrees Celsius. Chipinque is one of the most important natural passages in the region due to its proximity to the city of Monterrey and the attractions and services it offers.
The Chipinque Ecological Park is a Protected Natural Area, of private nature under the tutelage of a Board of Trustees, whose mission is the conservation of biodiversity through an integrated management that ensures the conservation of its natural resources, while promoting a culture of respect and appreciation for the physical and natural aspects of the Park, providing physical security to its visitors and guaranteeing future generations this invaluable heritage.

What tour company did we use?

Gracias Martin!

Mexico's Most Luxurious City?- Exploring San Pedro Garza García (con subtítulos)

Welcome to the luxurious San Pedro Garza Garcia just outside of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon! The last time that we came to Monterrey we stayed en el centro, but many of you all told us to stay in a city that is actually just outside of Monterrey called San Pedro Garza García. Now we can see why! San Pedro felt very new, modern, upscale, safe, and luxurious.

A few fun facts about San Pedro Garza García from the interwebs:
San Pedro Garza García is a city within Nuevo León and part of the Monterrey Metro area. It is a contemporary commercial suburb of the larger metropolitan city of Monterrey between Puente de la Unidad and the Alfa Planetarium, including areas surrounding Calzada del Valle/Calzada San Pedro.

-Lleva gorra, bloqueador, lentes y chamarra.
-¡Recuerda avisarle a alguien dónde estarás!

Monterrey, Mexico: An Impressive and Modern City! (Travel Vlog)

Yet another city that surprised us and blew away our expectations in Mexico, but this time in different ways. We traded the cute and charming colonial architecture for skyscrapers and the hustle and bustle of a modern big city. So much about Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico surprised us but the thing that blew our minds us the most was the incredible landscape. The entire city is surrounded by beautiful and dramatic mountain peaks that made us feel like we were in Hawaii or something. All the while, we were just 2 hours driving south of the Texas border.
In this travel vlog, we visit some of our favorite neighborhoods in Monterrey, a massive mural made up of 300 houses, some incredible city parks and plazas, try a local dish called cabritos. (baby goats), and more!
It’s a fascinating city but so different than other cities we’ve visited so far in Mexico. For quite a few reasons that we highlight in the video.
Have you been to Monterrey or is it on your radar to visit? What are some things about the city that are surprising to you?

Thanks for watching and if you are new to our channel and enjoyed the video, we’d love it if you would like and subscribe. It’s free and easy and really helps us out.

Gringos vs Comida Norteña (El Rey del Cabrito) // con subtítulos

Welcome to El Rey del Cabrito! Cabrito is slow roasted baby goat...the style I had is Cabrito al pastor - The whole carcass is opened flat and impaled on a spit. The spit is then placed next to a bed of glowing embers and roasted slowly in the open air without seasonings other than the light scent it will absorb from the slow-burning charcoal.

We hope you enjoy today's Monterrey vlog- be sure to subscribe so that you don't miss our upcoming Gringos in Monterrey videos in San Pedro Garza Garcia or Cola del Caballo and the Pueblo Mágico of Santiago!

Gringos in Monterrey: Cola de Caballo Waterfall and Villa de Santiago

Welcome to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon! In today's Gringos in Monterrey vlog we head to the majestic waterfall of Cola de Caballo and to the beautiful, picturesque Pueblo Mágico of Villa de Santiago.

A few fun facts about the Cola de Caballo waterfall is that it is 82 feet tall and that it is not 100% natural.

The Pueblo Mágico of Villa De Santiago was founded in 1648 by Diego Rodríguez de Montemayor. It is one of two Pueblo Mágicos in the state of Nuevo Leon.
