Three tag durations are available for purchase for all vehicle sizes and types:
Daily - $5
Weekly - $15
Annual - $40
Parking tags are not replaceable, refundable, transferable, or upgradable.
Each tag is valid for a single vehicle and must include a license plate number matching the vehicle in which it is displayed.
Parking tags are available for purchase both online and onsite.
Display of physical parking tags in each vehicle is required. Digital representations are not accepted.
Parking tags are not location-specific. A parking tag is required to park anywhere within the boundaries of the Smokies.
Parking tags are not required for motorists who pass through the area or who park for less than 15 minutes.
Interagency passes (senior, access, etc.) are not accepted in lieu of a parking tag.

Located in both North Carolina and Tennessee, and consisting of 522,419 acres, the Great Smokies attracts 12 million visitors a year, features a wide variety of trails, scenic viewpoints and waterfalls, including three of the highest mountains in eastern North America (Clingmans Dome, Mount Guyot and Mt LeConte) and is a protected haven for wildlife. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage site and the Appalachian Trail runs right through its center.

'The Great Smoky Mountains National Park' is the most visited park in the United States, you know why because of its serenity. We visited Smoky Mountains National Park this summer on weekend and here is our travel guide if you are planning to visit in a short time. I, my husband, and our friends had so much fun while driving all over the park over two days, searching for bears, visiting many famous attractions like Cades Cove and Clingmans Dome. We did hike to Abrams Falls, explore Andrews Bald Trail, and visited Alum Cave Trail.
Also took a stroll in nearby towns Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
We can't wait to revisit the park and explore more in falls.

There are six entrances to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Besides the two main entrances at Gatlinburg, TN and Cherokee, NC, there's an entrance at Townsend, TN and three lesser-known entrances at Cosby, Cataloochee, and Wears Valley.
A quick guide hike and drive, according to time you have in hand for the national park
one hour Hike to cataract falls behind the sugarland visitor centre, Dirve to Maloney point / Carlos campbell overlook
2-3 hours Hike to Laurel Falls; Drive to Newfound gap; Walk along the Appalanch trail
4-5 hours Hike to Alum cave trail or Chimney tops trails; Drive to Cades cove loop road & look for wildlife
