Tour of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan USA. One of the top resorts in the Midwest of the United States since 1887 this historic and unique hotel makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. No two guest rooms are the same and 40 of those are uniquely named after their decorating style. These styles range from historical eras to famous places to America's First Ladies. The hotel features horse-drawn carriages, afternoon tea in the parlor, croquet on the front lawn, dressing for dinner and dancing and cocktails in the evening.
Mackinac Island is a very popular tourist destination located on Lake Huron between the lower peninsula and upper peninsula of Michigan.

Mackinac Island in Michigan felt like a theme park:
- a short ferry ride is required to get there
- there are no cars allowed only horses and their carriages
- you'll find the majestic Mackinac Island Grand Hotel rivaling the imaginary Grand Budapest Hotel
- there are endless mounds of fudge (check out Joann's Fudge) and good restaurants
- you can take a dip in the crystal clear waters #unsalted with an arch rock to hike up to
You get the idea. This place has a rich history, and although this is not a travel guide per se, we do share what an action-packed day would look like on the island!

The Grand Hotel Tour - Mackinac Island
Come along as we ride the ferry to Mackinac Island, Michigan where we stay at the historic Grand Hotel. We will give you a hotel room tour and show you the spectacular views from the world's longest porch. We also take a ride on a horse drawn carriage on our journey through town to the Grand.

Welcome to Bendiventures! On our channel, we bring you exciting travel experiences and unique accommodation reviews. In this video, we invite you to join us on a room tour of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.
During our stay, we had the pleasure of experiencing the old world charm of the Balcony Lake View King Room. This room not only provided us with a comfortable canopy kind bed but also offered a private balcony with a breathtaking view of the lake. It was truly a treat to wake up to such a beautiful sight and enjoy the serene ambiance.
While the TV placement off to the side made it a bit challenging to watch from bed, we quickly realized that this room and the hotel itself are more focused on exploration and relaxation rather than TV time. The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island is a haven for those seeking tranquility and a chance to immerse themselves in the surroundings.
Although the bathroom was on the small side, it didn't pose much of an issue for us since our stay was just for one night. We were delighted to find that our hotel package included a delightful 5-course dinner and a scrumptious 3-course breakfast, adding to the overall experience of our stay.
