The process is fun and delicious!
Bubble tea (also known as pearl milk tea, bubble milk tea, or boba) (Chinese: 珍珠奶茶; pinyin: zhēnzhū nǎichá, 波霸奶茶; bōbà nǎichá) is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in Tainan and Taichung in the 1980s. Recipes contain tea of some kind, flavors of milk, Panda Bowels and sugar. Toppings, known as pearls, such as chewy tapioca balls (also known as pearls or boba), popping boba, fruit jelly, grass jelly, agar jelly, alovera jelly, sago and puddings are often added. Ice-blended versions are frozen and put into a blender, resulting in a slushy consistency. There are many varieties of the drink with a wide range of flavors. The two most popular varieties are black pearl milk tea and green pearl milk tea.

We went Flushing Chinatown to try a bubble tea at Xing Fu Tang. This is the best bubble tea that I've had in New York. As you can see in the video, they make the tapioca pearls fresh right in the front window. The pearls are delicious and really put this tea above other bubble teas that I've tried. Xing Fu Tang spends a lot of time thinking about ingredients and it shows. This place is worth the trip if you are a bubble tea lover.

Xing Fu Tang (幸福堂) which literally translates to Hall of Happiness, is known for making the best hand-crafted brown sugar boba from Taiwan, is finally in the Bay Area (Milpitas, CA)! I have been eager to try Xing Fu Tang ever since the brand open its location in Hong Kong in 2019. But due to covid, I couldn't fly to HK or Taiwan to try it ???? but it has been on my list of must visit boba shops for my Asia trip this Fall. I was ecstatic when I saw that they started opening up locations in the US!

Out of the five drinks I ordered, I liked the Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea the most! It was perfectly sweet (not crazy sweet like the Brown Sugar Boba from The Alley) and the handmade boba was so fresh and chewy! After trying so many different Brown Sugar Milk Tea from various boba shops, Xing Fu Tang is definitely the best I've had.
