A Day in My Life Study Abroad at the University of Auckland

Here it is! I finally put together a video of what my daily life was like when I was studying abroad at the University of Auckland. It took me pretty long to make this video because while I was studying abroad, and even after I came back, it was pretty hard to objectively look at my life without getting sad that I had to leave.

I studied abroad for 5 months in Auckland, New Zealand, and these days were some of the best of my life. This video might seem a bit boring, and I definitely adventured a lot more in New Zealand than this video leads on, but I wanted to portray what truly a regular DAY in my college life was like. Hope this helps some of you!

New Zealand Working Holiday Advice

I noticed that there wasn't a whole lot of information about New Zealand Working Holiday on YouTube. Most were about Australia or the UK so, after completing a year in New Zealand I thought I would share some advice I wish I had when I first arrived.

Getting there and setting up is super easy and straight forward. I really didn't have any trouble besides the extra hassle of getting a chest x-ray done and find a bank branch in Auckland with an appointment slot within two weeks.

Travelling New Zealand is best done by car or bus. Intercity Bus, Naked Bus, Stray, Kiwi Experience... You have lots of options depending on what you are looking for and what you want to see.

I found that working in New Zealand depends a lot on where you are located. And like anywhere else in the world, it has a lot to do with your experience what kind of job you get. But don't give up and keep looking!

Much love and happy travels
