Brunei - Unveiling The Beauty from Above - 2023

Brunei, officially known as the Nation of Brunei, the Abode of Peace, is a small country located on the northern coast of the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia. Here are some key facts about Brunei:

Brunei is bordered by the South China Sea to the north and surrounded by the Malaysian state of Sarawak. It has a total land area of approximately 5,765 square kilometers (2,226 square miles).

Bandar Seri Begawan is the capital and largest city of Brunei. It serves as the country's political, economic, and cultural center.

Brunei is an absolute monarchy, ruled by Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, who has been in power since 1967. The sultan holds absolute authority and is the head of state, head of government, and commander-in-chief of the Brunei Armed Forces.

Islam is the official religion of Brunei, and it plays a significant role in the country's culture and daily life. The majority of the population follows Sunni Islam.

Brunei has a prosperous economy primarily based on its abundant reserves of oil and natural gas. The country is one of the world's largest exporters of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and ranks among the wealthiest nations globally in terms of GDP per capita. The government provides its citizens with generous social welfare benefits due to its oil wealth.
Standard of Living: Brunei has a high standard of living, with its citizens enjoying free education, healthcare, and subsidized housing. The government heavily subsidizes essential goods and services, and there is no personal income tax.

Brunei's culture is influenced by Malay traditions and Islamic practices. The people of Brunei celebrate festivals such as Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Hari Raya Aidiladha. Traditional arts and crafts, including weaving, silverwork, and woodcarving, are also integral to Bruneian culture.
Environment: Brunei has a diverse ecosystem, including rainforests, mangroves, and coral reefs. It is known for its rich biodiversity and is home to various species of flora and fauna, including the endangered proboscis monkey and green turtles.

Brunei is gradually developing its tourism industry, attracting visitors with its natural beauty, cultural heritage, and historical landmarks. Some popular attractions include the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Kampong Ayer (water village), and Ulu Temburong National Park.

Why I Really Don't Like This Country ????????

While I constantly try to find the positives in every place I visit, there are a few nations that I just simply didn't enjoy.

The country of BRUNEI is one of them.

I went to Brunei back in 2014, three years before I made videos, but my negative experiences in the country have stuck in my mind ever since. That, combined with its absurd human rights laws such as stoning to death LGBT members, I felt like this video needed to be shared with the world.

Have you ever visited any countries that you didn't enjoy? Please share below, I'm curious to know.

MAP OF BRUNEI

hello my friends. this is a map of Brunei. Brunei is a southeast Asian country consisting of two unconnected parts with a total area of 5,765 square kilometres on the island of Borneo. It has 161 kilometres of coastline next to the South China Sea, and it shares a 381 km border with Malaysia. It has 500 square kilometres of territorial waters, and a 200-nautical-mile exclusive economic zone.

About 97% of the population lives in the larger western part, (Belait, Tutong, and Brunei-Muara), while only about 10,000 people live in the mountainous eastern part, (the Temburong District). Other major towns are the port town of Muara, the oil-producing town of Seria and its neighbouring town, Kuala Belait. In Belait District, the Panaga area is home to large numbers of Europeans expatriates, due to Royal Dutch Shell and British Army housing, and several recreational facilities are located there.

Most of Brunei is within the Borneo lowland rain forests ecoregion, which covers most of the island. Areas of mountain rain forests are located inland. thats all. please comment and subscribe for the best maps. goodbye.

After 10 years, I have returned to the country that I enjoyed THE LEAST in all of my travels… Brunei. It’s a tiny country on Borneo island, sandwiched in between Malaysia and Indonesia, and I was very nervous to go back. Why? Because my last video there was all about how much I hated it, and I was so worried that I would be thrown in jail by the government, or even yelled at by the locals…. But this time around, I went in with fresh eyes and a new perspective, and I really enjoyed it!!!

I met up with a local Bruneian friend from Instagram named Bryant, and he took me under his wing to show me his version of Brunei. And what we discovered will seriously blow your mind!!

Travel video about destination Brunei.
Brunei Darussalam is a tiny sultanate in the north of the island of Borneo located on the shores of the South China Sea and is surrounded by the Malayan federal states of Sabah and Sarawak. The capital, Bandar Seri Begawan, is like something from an exotic fantasy.

The splendour of the mosque of Sultan Omar Ali Saiffudin is a captivating sight. This Islamic landmark is also a symbol of great wealth and was built in 1958 and was named after the father of the present sultan. Snow white Italian Carrara marble was used as building material, with granite from Shanghai. It commemorates the founder of modern Brunei.

On a classic longboat powered by outboard motor, we travel on the Brunei River and are soon surrounded by mangrove brush. Tropical thunderstorms and monsoon rain create dense vegetation and the ensuing humidity produces lush flora.

At the junction of two muddy-grey waterways of the Brunei River is an historic location, Kampung Ayer, a water village. Each building and adjoining pathway is built on posts yet there is both an electricity and drinking water supply. Plants decorate the terraces, and TV aerials are everywhere and it has a population of around thirty thousand.

Brunei is a land that has almost lost its history while moving into modern times. It is a country that has grown amazingly wealthy since its gas has hissed and its oil has spluttered from deep below the ground. Liquid gold - Allah be praised!

map of Brunei [ peta Brunei ]

Brunei (/bruːˈnaɪ/ (audio speaker iconlisten) broo-NY, Malay: [brunaɪ] (audio speaker iconlisten)), formally Brunei Darussalam (Malay: Negara Brunei Darussalam, Jawi: نڬارا بروني دارالسلام, lit. 'Nation of Brunei, the Abode of Peace'), is a country located on the north coast of the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia. Apart from its South China Sea coast, it is completely surrounded by the Malaysian state of Sarawak. It is separated into two parts by the Sarawak district of Limbang. Brunei is the only sovereign state entirely on Borneo; the remainder of the island is divided between Malaysia and Indonesia. As of 2020, its population was 460,345,[5] of whom about 100,000 live in the capital and largest city, Bandar Seri Begawan. The government is an absolute monarchy ruled by its Sultan, entitled the Yang di-Pertuan, and implements a combination of English common law and sharia law, as well as general Islamic practices.

At the peak of the Bruneian Empire, Sultan Bolkiah (reigned 1485–1528) is claimed to have had control over most regions of Borneo, including modern-day Sarawak and Sabah, as well as the Sulu Archipelago off the northeast tip of Borneo, and the islands off the northwest tip of Borneo. Claims also state that they had control over Seludong (or the Kingdom of Maynila, where the modern-day Philippine capital Manila now stands) but Southeast Asian scholars believe this refers to a settlement Mount Selurong in Indonesia. The maritime state of Brunei was visited by Spain's Magellan Expedition in 1521 and fought against Spain in the 1578 Castilian War.

During the 19th century, the Bruneian Empire began to decline. The Sultanate ceded Sarawak (Kuching) to James Brooke and installed him as the White Rajah, and it ceded Sabah to the British North Borneo Chartered Company. In 1888, Brunei became a British protectorate and was assigned a British resident as colonial manager in 1906. After the Japanese occupation during World War II, in 1959 a new constitution was written. In 1962, a small armed rebellion against the monarchy was ended with the help of the British.

Brunei gained its independence from the United Kingdom on 1 January 1984. Economic growth during the 1990s and 2000s, with the GDP increasing 56% from 1999 to 2008, transformed Brunei into an industrialised country. It has developed wealth from extensive petroleum and natural gas fields. Brunei has the second-highest Human Development Index among the Southeast Asian nations, after Singapore, and is classified as a developed country. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Brunei is ranked fifth in the world by gross domestic product per capita at purchasing power parity. The IMF estimated in 2011 that Brunei was one of two countries (the other being Libya) with a public debt at 0% of the national GDP Brunei is a southeast Asian country consisting of two unconnected parts with a total area of 5,765 square kilometres (2,226 sq mi) on the island of Borneo. It has 161 kilometres (100 mi) of coastline next to the South China Sea, and it shares a 381 km (237 mi) border with Malaysia. It has 500 square kilometres (193 sq mi) of territorial waters, and a 200-nautical-mile (370 km; 230 mi) exclusive economic zone.

About 97% of the population lives in the larger western part (Belait, Tutong, and Brunei-Muara), while only about 10,000 people live in the mountainous eastern part (Temburong District). The total population of Brunei is approximately 408,000 as of July 2010, of which around 150,000 live in the capital Bandar Seri Begawan.[97] Other major towns are the port town of Muara, the oil-producing town of Seria and its neighbouring town, Kuala Belait. In Belait District, the Panaga area is home to large numbers of Europeans expatriates, due to Royal Dutch Shell and British Army housing, and several recreational facilities are located there.[98]

Most of Brunei is within the Borneo lowland rain forests ecoregion, which covers most of the island. Areas of mountain rain forests are located inland.[99]

The climate of Brunei is tropical equatorial that is a Tropical rainforest climate[37] more subject to the Intertropical Convergence Zone than the trade winds and with no or rare cyclones. Brunei is exposed to the risks stemming from climate change along with other ASEAN member states mapa de Brunei

Is Brunei a safe country?

Is Brunei a safe country?
Brunei is a very safe country, with theft being uncommon and violent crime almost unheard of. However basic travelling safety precautions should be taken at all times. Brunei has mixed legal system based on English common law and Sharia (Islamic) law.
