Gapernath is around 24km from Kota. The temple of Gapernath is situated in the Rawatbhata road. Gapernath is surrounded by the rocks, hills and bushes etc.There is a very beautiful stream which flows water very pleasantly. It is the temple of Shiva and his family. On the occasion of Shivratri, a great fair is held there. By the slogan of “Om Namah Shivay”, the fully atmosphere is being thrilled. People believe that there is a big cave which is fully spread in all over Kota. :)

Garadia Mahadev Temple is a noted shrine of Kota, located near the Chambal River. It is located near the NH-76 that leads to Dabi and Chittorgarh. Geparnath Mahadev Temple and Waterfall is one of the most visited natural tourist and picnic spots within the vicinity of Kota city. The place is one of the gems that are hard to find in the desertic state of Rajasthan, because of its mesmerising natural beauty of the waterfall. The place is about 20 kilometers far from the main city center.

Geparnath is a lovely big chasm with an old Shiva temple set in a deep gorge with a spectacular view of the ruggedly beautiful forests and cliffs of the Chambal valley. The pleasant sound of gushing water from the Geparnath waterfall near the temple, set against a picturesque canvas of a green landscape make it an idyllic and beautiful spot to visit.

Gapernath Waterfall - A Treasure of Nature in the Desert of Rajasthan
Around 23km away from Kota, Gaipernath is located on Rawatbhatta road. This magic of nature is actually a hidden gem with geological wonders. The place looks like a plateau formation with flat land which is cut by river forming gorges and when I reached down; I could feel the enchanting vibrations of nature, with ambient sounds of birds and water falling down in the form of small falls.
The canyon of Gaipernath is replica of Garadiya mahadev.
There is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and gaipernath is the local name of Shiv. As per the locals, the temple is said to have been built around 15th century.
the naturally carved molten lava solidified in the form of erect walls make it look stunning. This place was never in my list, never had I heard the name before.

Garadiya Mahadev Temple Kota - A Canyon Hidden in Chambal Valley
When I saw this place in Rajasthan tourism ad, I was mesmerized by the beauty of this place. Then I saw it in a song by B Praak. And then I decided that I had to go this place. Many plans were made and got failed. Finally, one night I took bus from IFFCO Chowk, overnight journey and the next morning I was in Kota.
From Kota, I hired a cab to Garadiya Mahadev Temple which not only took me to this temple but also took me to Gapernath Mahadev Temple.
Garadiya Mahadev Temple is such a gem of nature. This gorge located in Chambal river is an incredible piece of natural wonders. Garadiya Mahadev comes under a wildlife sanctuary and is a protected area.
