I say goodbye to our Patrons and I leave Riley. I'm off, to the land down under to prepare for the birth of our boy. It was such an emotional week leading up to my departure. I've usually been fine leaving Riley for longer periods of time, but this time it felt different.. Riley has to look after La Vagabonde for an extra month and then he's going to sail it north to South Carolina where he's leaving it. Then he'll finally be able to fly to Australia to meet me. I just hope our baby doesn't come early... Anyway. Everything's going to be okay yep yep yep ????

Auf dem Weg von Zürich nach Shanghai wurde während des Fluges eine erhöhte Öl Temperatur in Triebwerk Nummer 3 festgestellt. Der Flug musste abgebrochen werden, eine Sicherheitslandung war nötig. Anschließend wurde der Flug mit einem anderen Flugzeug fortgesetzt. Das Video zeigt die vorgehensweise der Piloten in einer Ausnahmesituation, bis zur Landung.

On the way from Zurich to Shanghai during the flight was an increased oil temperature found in engine 3. The flight had to be canceled, a landing was necessary. Then the flight was continued with a new plane. The video shows the entire approach to the landing, in an exceptional situation.

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I'm raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. All the money raised will go directly to helping Franek and his family lead as normal a life as possible so please donate generously:

WooHoo we're sailing to Panama! Kiril did an absolutely bang-up job editing this 6 part series for us. We'll be releasing the videos over the next few weeks. Hope you enjoy and have a fantastic weekend :). XXOO- Brian, Kazza, Baby Nugs, Taylor, Jade, and JaeCee
Immigration. Check! Fuel. Check! Provisions. Check! Weather Forecast. Check! The only thing left is to pull up the hook and head out. There's nothing quite like the feeling just before a passage. It's a mixture of anxiety and excitement all rolled together, and knowing that you are about to cross 1,000 miles of open ocean with a group of incredibly cool people only makes it that much better. After lashing Maggie to the foredeck we do a crew briefing and planning session, pull up the hook, hoist sail, and set our course East- towards Panama. Spirits are incredibly high and our new crew is in the groove spending their first night at sea. Things don't always go smoothly as our freezer quits on day 2. But then we get wind to sail and The Little Nugget keeps the crew in shape with one of her exercise routines :)

Limping up the Malacca Strait, the Final 400nm (Sailing Nandji) Ep 116
Our boat is broken and we have 400nm to get to the boat yard, will we make it?
Leaving the safety of the marina, we head out into the busy shipping area of the Malacca Strait. We have sailed and limped Nandji over 1600nm to get this far and now have a measly 400nm left to arrive to Langkawi and the ship yard where we can haul out and fix our beloved Nandji.
The Malacca Strait is one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world and has on average a ship entering or exiting its water every 6 minutes. We sail up the tight inshore designated traffic area squeezed between land and the shipping channel. With strong winds, heavy squalls, fishing nets and tons of little fishing boats to avoid and crossing the shipping lane into Kuala Lumper, this final 400nm was eventful you could say!
We are a young couple with a dog, who with no sailing experience, bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing around the Pacific! We have just sailed 2000nm through Indonesia and have arrived to Malaysia to complete major boat work, ready for the next big adventure. We departed Australia 18 months ago and have since explored some amazing countries, met some beautiful people and experienced different cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our life doing it! The adventure is just beginning as we sail West with the trades!

Loggerhead Turtle STEALS my Lobster! Then We Swim. Ep.186
We'd set off with the spearguns to find dinner. After filleting the fish and preparing the lobster we'd caught, I noticed a dark shadow off the back of the boat. I jumped in the water to find a GIANT Loggerhead turtle munching on the lobster head. He was so chill, not concerned about me in the slightest. This is honestly the wildest encounter I've ever had underwater. Superlatives escape me. In the words of Ace Ventura, holy testicle Tuesday.

Goodbye Delos! We're off... Sailing Vessel Delos Ep 351
Over the past 18 months we've sailed 7,000 NM and visited 7 different countries! Now the task at hand it to prepare Delos for long term storage in the Panamanian jungle before we fly to Sweden to visit family. There are many things to be done including folding sails, vacuum bagging clothes and food, and of course servicing the mechanical components and water maker to make sure everything functions when we return. In between preparations we take a few moments to enjoy our beautiful surroundings and reflect on the amazing, incredible time we've had onboard with The Little Nugget.

One of the most adorable things on the planet is a puppy. They are so tiny, so cute, and so energetic. They are also destructive, with a seemingly insatiable need to chew on everything in their environment. This week on Sailing Sunday, we find homes for all our current Caribbean rescue pups just in time before they really start to destroy the boat!!!

What a week! Epic times with our Crew.????. Ep.187
A week in Nassau. Meet fellow patrons: Emily, David, Matt, Sarthak, Brittney, Billy, Chaz, Scott and Craig as we go for a sail to visit some of the nearby small islands. It was a great day of snorkelling, free diving, spearfishing whilst enjoying drinks and fresh seafood onboard.

On Our Toes Sailing To Ganges - Ep. 156 RAN Sailing
Sailing between the Gulf Islands can be challenging, the islands are close to each other and can interrupt the wind or increase it. We make it to Ganges on Salt spring island where we do a stop over before continuing south. We find a great anchorage in Cadboro Bay and then we meet up with our friend Kennet in Victoria and go exploring waterfalls and giant trees!
We are a Swedish couple who wanted a different kind of life. So we moved aboard our sailboat Ran, a custom built Beason 40 in aluminium and untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter in January 2016. There is no set route and we will go where the wind and our minds take us.
