Talad Rot Fai Ratchada (ตลาดรถไฟรัชดา) - Also known as the train market, is one of the most popular night markets in Bangkok. It’s especially popular on the weekend when a younger crowd flocks to the market to eat the latest Thai street food trends, and hang out with friends.

The train market has in recent months become famous for its giant food - you’ll find a number of giant Thai dishes to try like egg noodles, pork bone soup, and now the massive lobster tom yum - possibly the world’s biggest bowl of tom yum?

Diaw Goong Rot Fai Restaurant (เตี๋ยวกุ้งรถไฟ) - This is the name of the restaurant, and when we ordered they started preparing the lobster.

Giant Lobster Tom Yum (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวต้มยำโครตกุ้งมังกรยักษ์) - They serve it in a basin, like a mini bathtub, not even a bowl. And it’s HUGE. They layer in the fish, squid, mussels, shrimp, and finally a giant lobster goes on top, followed by all the tom yum soup broth. Honestly, the seafood isn’t the freshest or best quality, but you don’t really go to eat a bathtub of seafood for the quality - you go for the insaneness of it.
Price - 2,800 THB ($89.27)

Here are the other Thai street foods we tried on this tour:

Seafood griddle cakes (ขนมครกทะเล)
Price - 60 THB ($1.91)

Green mango crab egg salad (ยำมะม่วงไข่ปูทะเล)
Price - 150 THB ($4.78)

Watermelon shake (แตงโมปั่น)
Price - 60 THB ($1.91)

Thanks again to Ramon for joining me on this Thai street food lobster tom yum food challenge! Again, check out Ramon:

Bangkok is one of the best cities in the world for street food, and in Thai extreme Thai street food tour, I met up with my friends Khun Tan ( and Khun Tape ( who are food lovers and Thai food experts.

We went on an ultimate night street food tour, starting with a tuk-tuk, which I didn’t even know we were going to do from the beginning. It was a thrilling night, so much Thai food, and so much fun.

Later in the night we also met up with Chef Ton from Le Du: when we ate the extreme Mama instant noodles at Jay Oh.

Here are all the restaurants we ate at:

Sawang (ร้านสว่างบะหมี่ ก้ามปู) - To begin the night, we ate at Sawang (ร้านสว่างบะหมี่ ก้ามปู), a legendary restaurant in Bangkok for egg noodles and crab. You can also order their pork noodles which are delicious. I ordered ba mee kam boo, egg noodles with crab claw and the biggest size of the claw. A bit expensive, but so good - 400 THB Google map:

Lim Lao Ngow Fish Ball Noodle (ลิ้มเหล่าโหงว (สาขาเยาวราช) - Known for their fresh fish balls Lim Lao Ngow Fish Ball Noodle (ลิ้มเหล่าโหงว (สาขาเยาวราช) is a street food stall in Bangkok’s Chinatown. Their fishballs are delicious and bouncy. Google map:

Somsak Pu Ob (สมศักดิ์ปูอบ กุ้งอบวุ้นเส้น) - One of my favorite street food stalls in Bangkok is Somsak Pu Ob (สมศักดิ์ปูอบ กุ้งอบวุ้นเส้น), and they specialize in mung bean noodles cooked in a pan with pork fat, spices like Sichuan pepper and black pepper, and either crab or shrimp. It’s incredibly taste especially with seafood sauce. Google map:

Jay Hong Worachak (ร้าน เจ้ฮ้งก๋วยเตี๋ยวคั่วไก่วรจักร) - One of the highlights of this Thai street food tour of Bangkok was eating kuay teow khua gai at Jay Hong Worachak (ร้าน เจ้ฮ้งก๋วยเตี๋ยวคั่วไก่วรจักร), a back alley restaurant serving the smokiest fire noodles in Bangkok. Google map:

Jay Oh (ร้านเจ๊โอว) - Probably the most well known late night Bangkok street food restaurant in the city is Jay Oh (ร้านเจ๊โอว), a university spot that serves an array of tasty greasy dishes. Their glorified Thai instant noodles are pretty crazy, and pretty tasty. Google map:

Iam Pochana (เอี่ยมโภชนา) - Finally, to end this Thai street food tour in Bangkok we went to Iam Pochana (เอี่ยมโภชนา) to end with a simmering beef hot pot. Google map:

That wraps up this extreme late night street food tour of Bangkok. Hope you enjoyed it and keep enjoying Thai food!

The MOST INSANE Street Food in Thailand!

Most unbelievable Thai street food in Bangkok!
►Watch GIANT Tom Yum:
►SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week:
►T-shirts and caps available now:

Talad Rot Fai (ตลาดนัดรถไฟ), also known as the Train night market in Bangkok, or Talad Rot Fai in Thai, is one of the most popular night markets in Bangkok - this branch located at Ratchada. Here’s a map link:

By the way, this is Part 2 of this Night Market Thai street food tour. You can watch the gigantic tom yum challenge here:

The market is known for its unique Thai street food, some of the snacks and dishes which are invented there and you won’t find anywhere else in Bangkok.

Laeng Saeb (เล้งแซ่บ) at Diaw Maekhlong Restaurant (ร้านเตี๋ยวแม่กลอง) - Laeng saeb, a dish of pork bones and ridiculous amounts of green chilies is one of the most popular Thai street food inventions at Talad Rot Fai, and this is mainly what I came to eat. The restaurant is located at the back of the market, and they have a few different sizes you can choose from.

XXL Laeng Saeb (เล้งแซ่บ) - Price - 599 THB ($18.96) - We went straight for the XXL size, a massive platter of pork bones, soup, insane amounts of green chilies and the soup broth. Of all the Thai street food I’ve eaten, this is one of the most unbelievable and insanely giant street foods of Thailand I’ve ever seen or eaten. Although it’s way more than I ever care to eat again in one sitting, it’s actually a really good dish.

Crispy butter (เนยกรอบ) - 35 THB ($1.11)
Stir fried ice cream (ไอติมผัด) - 69 THB ($2.18)
Coconut shake (น้ำมะพร้าวปั่น) - 35 THB ($1.11)

And that completed this Thai street food night market tour of Talad Rot Fai. It’s well worth a visit, and you can of course, order smaller sizes of laeng saeb when you’re in Bangkok. Enjoy!

$293 Noodles!! THAI LOBSTER NOODLES in Bangkok, Thailand! | ราดหน้า 8,900 บาท!!

????$1.29 Thai Food Buffet!! :
????Chef Gigg:
????T-shirts and caps:

Chef Gigg is the Iron Chef champion of Thailand, head chef of Lerdtip Restaurant, and he’s our partner at Phed Mark. He recently opened a new restaurant, Lerdtip (เลิศทิพย์), Thai Chinese restaurant at CentralWorld shopping mall in Bangkok. Chef Gigg invited me over for dinner to show me one of his new signature dishes, a huge plate of seafood noodles (known in Thai as radna ราดหน้า). #ThaiFood #Bangkok #Thailand

Part of the beauty of this plate of Thai Chinese style noodles was seeing Chef Gigg, who is a master wizard on the wok, cook the entire dish. He first fried the noodles in a heap of smoke, an amazing skill so that they didn’t stick together, but had the perfect gummy and crunchy consistency. He then cooked all the individual ingredients, the lobster, abalone, crab, snow fish, and vegetables. Another hugely important part of radna (เส้นใหญ่ราดหน้า) is the sauce, a mixture of fermented bean paste and Chinese spices, whisked into a thick and ultra flavorful sauce.

Through the dish is usually called Sen Yai Radna (เส้นใหญ่ราดหน้า), this version on Chef Gigg’s is more of a Thai Chinese Noodle special (ราดหน้าจักรพรรดิ).

Price - 8,900 THB ($293 USD) for the plate of radna noodles!!

TOP 5 BEST THAI DISHES! | My Favorite Thai Food in Bangkok, Thailand!

Huge thank you to Greg from Travizeo for filming and making this video!
Subscribe now: for 2 new videos every week.
A totally different style video today, hope you enjoy it!

One of the most common questions I get asked is Mark, “what are your favorite Thai foods?” And so when Greg was in Bangkok I thought it would be an awesome idea to cover when he was filming with his amazing video skills.

By the way, Greg films cinematic travel videos for brands and promotions, and he also happens to love to eat! Go check out his videos ( and website for more details ( And I was very excited when he offered to film and edit a video for me.

Choosing my favorite Thai dishes is a very hard thing to do, but I narrowed it down.

1. Braised beef fire pot (เกาเหลาเนื้อหม้อไฟ) at Heng Chun Seng (ร้าน เฮ้งชุนเส็ง) - There’s just about nothing better to eat for breakfast in Bangkok, and after trying quite a few versions, Heng Chun Seng is still my favorite. The beef is tender and most of all the soup is so fragrant from the herbs and beef. Google map:

2. Holy basil stir fry (กระเพราหมูสับ) at Ung Jia Huad (ร้านอึ้งเจี่ยฮวด) - If there’s one dish that could be the most popular and beloved easy to eat Thai food, it’s holy basil stir fry (with your choice of meat). It’s a dish that always hits the spot. Google map:

3. Green papaya salad (ตำปูปลาร้า) Stall on Sukhumvit - You’ll find green papaya salad on just about every street corning in Bangkok and throughout Thailand. My favorite version is som tam boo plaraa, dressed with fermented fish sauce.

4. Fish viscera curry (แกงไตปลา) at Janhom (ร้านจันทร์หอม) - Southern Thai food is always a favorite of mine, and gaeng tai pla, or a curry made with fish viscera is one of the most flavorful Thai foods of them all. Google map:

5. Jungle curry (แกงป่า) at Pla Mae Nam (ร้านปลาแม่น้ำ) - A dish I just can’t get over, and have to order every chance I have, is Thai jungle curry. It’s an amazing mixture of chilies and herbs, and in this case, fish. This is also one of my favorite restaurants in Bangkok at the moment as well. Google map:

There it is, 5 of my favorite dishes in Thailand. Thank you for watching this video!

Again, huge thank you to Greg from Travizeo for filming and editing this entire video!

Thai Food Hero - BEST TOM YUM SOUP in Thailand!!

????Thai Food - 1.5 Years Waiting List:
????T-shirts and caps:
????Mark Wiens Banana Chips - Worldwide Shipping Available Now:

The Best Tom Yum in Thailand - I know it’s a bold statement, but for me, after eating dozens and dozens and possibly hundreds of versions of tom yum in Thailand, this is the best of the best that I’ve ever had. It wins hands down for its pureness of taste, quality of ingredients, epic harmony of flavors.

Sena, Ayutthaya, Thailand (อำเภอเสนา จังหวัด อยุธยา) - Located in Ayutthaya province of Thailand, but in a small and sleep town called Sena, is the Joong Borikan (ร้านจุ้ง บริการ The restaurant looks like it’s been completely stopped in time in the last 30 or 40 years, and I’d imagine few things have changed since then.

You can order a variety of different dishes, most having to do with freshwater fish and freshwater prawns, but the ultimate of all dishes is Uncles’ tom yum goong (ต้มยำกุ้ง). He starts with soup stock, adds in all the herbs and aromatics, the entire big river shrimp, and the move I like the most is that he actually squeezes in, almost like a tube of toothpaste, another shrimp head - all the fatty flavor of the tomalley. That is the pro move that gives so much taste an flavor to this Thai tom yum soup. #tomyum #ThaiFood

In addition to the Tom yum goong (ต้มยำกุ้ง), we also got, tod man pla krai (ทอดมันปลากราย fried fish cakes), and goong pao (กุ้งเผา roasted shrimp).

He is an amazing man, and his tom yum goong will always be legendary for me. The best I’ve ever had so far in my life.

Buffet 40 THB ($1.29) Lumphini Park in Bangkok, Thailand (บุฟเฟต์ 40 บาท สวนลุมพินี) #StreetFood #Bangkok #Thailand

Located on the fence just outside the major central Lumphini Park in Bangkok, Thailand, are a number of Thai street food stalls. You can get all sorts of delicious and on the go Thai food. But there’s one stall where you pay 40 THB ($1.29), and you can eat as much as you want, a full buffet. I’d say it’s one of the most affordable buffets I’ve ever had anywhere in the world.

You’ll find a mix of different Thai dishes, a variety of different curries with coconut milk, and a number of different stir fry dishes. Overall, you have about a dozen different Thai dishes to choose from. I was surprised by the amount of meat in dishes - they don’t skimp at all on the meats and proteins. You first grab a plate of rice and start digging in to whatever you want.

Two of my favorite dishes at this Thai street food buffet were the boiled beef with lemongrass, and the boiled salmon soup!

In addition to an affordable all you can eat buffet, the people you meet eating here are cool and laid back, and the owner and chef is so friendly. He kept inviting me back to the buffet line to eat more food - “come back and have another plate!”

#1 Tom Yum Noodles in Bangkok on Phetchaburi Soi 5 - Street Food Scene of Bangkok Episode 2

Eat your way through Bangkok hassle-free by booking the delicious Bangkok's Best Eats Midnight Food Tour by Tuk Tuk on Klook here!

Clicking on my link and booking ANY tours through Klook's massive selection of guided tours around the world within 30 days generates a small commission for me at no extra cost to you! If you enjoyed this video I would very much appreciate your support so I can bring you guys even better content =)

In the lively district of Ratchathewi, a short drive from some of Bangkok’s largest and fanciest shopping malls, lies a busy alleyway known as Phetchaburi Soi 5, or side-street #5 off Phetchaburi Road. If you come here at dusk, the alleyway is filled to the brim with street food stalls and carts and a steady stream of Bangkok locals looking to pick up a cheap and easy dinner on their way home after work. Be adventurous and explore the many even smaller alleyways that branch off from Phetchaburi Soi 5 and you’ll find some of the most authentic street food in Thailand. Equally famous is the Pe Aor Tom Yum Noodles restaurant which claims to have the best tom yum soup in Bangkok, so when a restaurant makes a bold claim like that naturally I have to go check it out. They’re famous for their massive seafood tom yum noodle that even comes with a whole lobster, enough to feed 2-3 people. However, the touristy gimmicks aside, does their tom yum soup really stand up to their claim of being the best in Bangkok?

How to get here:
Traffic is notoriously bad in Bangkok so avoid taxis or Grab if you can, instead take public transport like the locals do, which is surprisingly comfortable and reliable! Get off at Ratchathewi BTS station and take the Phechaburi Road exist, then walk for about 10 minutes west and Phechaburi Soi 20 will be on your right hand side.Grab bike is also a good option, as it is cheaper than Grab car and it’s super exciting to zip through the Bangkok traffic on a motorbike!

Giant SHRIMP BUTTER TOM YUM!! ????️ Spicy Thai Food in Phatthalung, Thailand!

???? Golden Crab Yolk - Thai Seafood Meal:
???? NEW T-shirts and caps available now:
???? Pa Ngiao Restaurant (ร้านอาหารป้าเงี้ยว):

PHATTHALUNG, THAILAND (พัทลุง) - Welcome to Phatthalung, located in Southern Thailand, it’s one of my favorite provinces in Thailand. The people are amazing, it’s so peaceful and quiet, and the food is spicy and powerful. Today we’re going to eat at a small family run restaurant, where they serve ultimate Southern Thai food and specialize in local seafood, especially freshwater shrimp. #ThaiFood #Phatthalung #tomyum

Pa Ngiao Restaurant (ร้านอาหารป้าเงี้ยว) is in Phatthalung, near to Lake Songkhla. And something to note is that there’s not ocean front coastline in Phatthalung, but they do have lakefront. And so there is a different variety of seafood available than other parts of Southern Thailand.

From the look of Pa Ngiao Restaurant (ร้านอาหารป้าเงี้ยว), I already knew it was going to be my kind of restaurant. The family was friendly and they took care and pride in their dishes. We ordered a mix of different dishes, including tom yum goong, and some Southern Thai curries.

It was a spectacular meal, one of the best meals that I’ve had in a long time in Southern Thailand. The tom yum goong was huge and so incredibly tasty. And their gaeng som, or southern Thai sour orange curry was one of the best versions I’ve ever had in my life.

Highly recommended. Don’t miss it when you’re in Phatthalung (พัทลุง), Thailand!

???? NEW T-shirts and caps available now:
???? Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง):

BANGKOK, THAILAND: Easily the best all around seafood restaurant I’ve been to in Bangkok is Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง) a restaurant where owner and chef P’Note sources his own seafood and also often goes fishing himself in Southern Thailand and brings back the catch to serve at the restaurant. Tonight we’re eating a huge seafood meal, and along with the best ever Thai pepper crab, P’Note served us an omakase meal of all the parts of a 40 kg. Giant grouper fish! #Bangkok #Thailand #seafood

Also in the video, I was hanging out and eating with friends P’Tan ( and P’Tape (

???? If you’re in Bangkok, Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง): is located in Bang Na, and they are also doing delivery across Bangkok. Seafood is the best of the best and they might have fresh seafood specials of the day.

We started this Thai seafood meal with the fresh giant grouper. P’Note and staff are highly skilled at parting and slicing fish. They parted it out, and actually for our meal we enjoyed some of the lesser known parts of the giant grouper, but some of the best tasting - like the collar, cheeks, and face. The pepper crab was loaded with green pepper, garlic, and kaffir lime leaves. Another favorite dish here are the penshells, or sometimes razor clams if available cooked Hong Kong style with tons of garlic, green onions, and mung bean noodles - the best!

Usually we eat at Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง) at least once a week because the food is so incredible good, and fresh, and consistent. Come to Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง) for the best seafood meal in Bangkok!
