Dream Beach Of Gomoa Fetteh In Ghana - NOBODY THERE! Drone!!
This was our first overnight trip from Accra and we chose to visit a beach which is not too far away from the capital city of Ghana. The
LA BEACH:
in Accra is fine but it was a bit wild and I felt like the water wasn't the cleanest.
So when we checked in our
resort:
and went down to the beach we couldn't believe our eyes, there was basically nobody there. We absolutely loved it and this is exactly what we needed to take a rest from the noise of Accra. If you want peace as well try not to go there on the weekends, because it gets very busy when everyone else has the time off.

Accra, the Capital City of Ghana serves as both the economic and administrative hub of Ghana. Accra Ghana is a very Unique, Vibrant, and Fascinating City where tradition Blends Modernity.
The City of Accra has a population of approximately 3 million people making it the most populated city in Ghana and one of the most populated cities in West Africa.
The Current bustling city You see grew from being just a trading post for the Ga People in the 15TH century to being the Largest and Busiest in Ghana.
In fact, the Name Accra Comes from the local Ga Language which Translates to Anti Hill. The Local Ga people called the place Accra because of the Many Ant Hills that covered the area in those early days.
The city is situated along the Atlantic Coast on the southern coast of the Gulf of Guinea. The coastal area of the city has beautiful sandy beaches and great oceanic views that attract tourists from all over the world. The Labadi beach is the most popular beach in Accra with golden sand, palm trees, sunbathing sites, and vibrant beach bars.

I remember like it was yesterday how hard it was to travel with the drone in luggage through Egypt (where we had an overnight layover and a country with very stricht any drone laws) to finally arrive at the Accra Airport. Dealing with customs, paying import fees and finally getting my drone flying permission from the Ghana authorities. Let me tell you, it wasn't easy.
But was it worth it - we think YES! Or, what is your opinion?
Being able to capture Ghana from above was more than rewarding - we miss you Ghana!

Drone Footage Of The Fishing Village Of Jamestown - Ghana
After finally getting my Ghana drone flying permission and was able to clear the drone from customs, I did my first flight. We went down to the fishing town of Jamestown, right below the famous lighthouse before sunset and tried to capture this unique area of town. Hundreds of fishing boats and fishing huts makes this area of the city very special. We're going to be writing more about Jamestown soon, which includes a walk through the neighborhood and we will be soon visiting one of the famous boxing schools, producing many Ghana boxing champions.

Winneba has a population of 55,331.[1] Winneba, traditionally known as Simpa,[2] is a historic fishing port in south Ghana, lying on the south coast, 140 kilometres (90 mi) east of Cape Coast.[2][3][4] The current member of parliament is Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin.
The main industries of Winneba are fishing and services. It is known for the Aboakyer deer-hunting festival in Winneba and its New Year fancy dress carnival/masquerading festival.[7] The town has a rich musical tradition and currently boasts of several renowned musical groups in the country, including the Winneba Youth Choir, the Osimpam Ompeh group, and the Akoo show Choir. Drone Footage Of The Axim Castle - Ghana Travel Blog - Africa Gold Coast Slave Trade
On our first day (and sadly ONLY full day) at the Ankobra Beach Resort

, we got up somewhat early, had breakfast under coconut palm trees - before taking a long walk to the City of Axim along the Gold Coast Beach. It was HOT but luckily we could easily cool off by walking into the Atlantic Ocean.
We walked through an Axim residential area before we arrived at the Axim Castle - yet another slave trade castle along the Ghanian Coast.

Ghana Drone Footage: Visiting the Bodwease Shrine And Village
After our overnight stay in Banko we set out to visit our first shrine in Ghana. Getting there wasn't too easy and when we arrived the villagers were kind of confused what we wanted there. After explaining, that we wanted to visit the shrine and the vice chief of the town showed up, the entire village gave us a tour. After admiring the shrine I asked if they would mind if I fly my drone and they gave me the thumbs up.

Drone African Village Life And The Holy Mountain of Banko - Ghana - Africa
When we arrived in Banko we had this strong sensation that we're in Africa. We lived in Accra, Ghana's capital city for a month and we kind of forget that we're actually on this continent. But the village of Banko took us all in with its beauty, the friendly people and being able to be part of the village live.
In this video you'll see some early morning views of the village of Banko and the second part is from our hike to the Holy Mountain, which is not too far from the village.
