Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Opening Day! | Disney’s Hollywood Studios | Exploring Batuu & Toy Story fun!
Welcome to you...from a galaxy far far away...
The day is finally here! The much anticipated Galaxy's Edge (also known as Star Wars Land) has opened to the general public today, August 29, 2019 at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando Florida! We partook in the grand opening festivities but we got a late start. Hollywood Studios opened early today for Galaxy's Edge at 6am, but we did not make it here this early. We strolled in at about 10am with suprisingly no difficulty! The parking lot, bag check, ticket scanning, and overall crowds were suprisingly mild at that time. We were somewhat expecting the new land to be so crowded that we would not be able to enter today and would enjoy the rest of the uninhibited park; however, to our joyous suprise, there were still time slots available to enter Galaxy's Edge. Once in Hollywood Studios we were able to log into the My Disney Experience App and request a boarding time. This informed you the time you would be able to enter Galaxy's Edge and gave you updates on your progress in the meantime. While we waited for entry we went to Toy Story Land and were able to ride all three attractions (Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, and Toy Story Mania) with minimial wait and easy fastpass retrieval. We also had our first and most delicous lunch at Andy's Lunch Box! After about a two hour wait, we were about to enter Batuu (Galaxy's Edge)! We were very impressed with the theming and feeling of grandure this land had to offer! Unfortunately but not suprising, due to long wait times we were not able to partake in the main attraction Smuggler's Run or the very popular Cantina. However, we were suprised that there were long wait times to go into all of the shopping locations and gift shops. We spent our time walking through the whole land, showing the entries to popular locations, gawking at the Millenium Falcon, drinking from thermal detonators, and enjoying the small intricasies of the land. Both the crowds and sweltering Florida heat increased quickly, so we decided to depart. But overall we had a fantastic time and enjoyed exploring this new area! We are excited to explore more when it is less crowded and we are able to experience Galaxy's Edge in a more relaxed manner. We will be soon be traveling to Disneyland in California and look forward to experiencing Galaxy's Edge on the West Coast! It's our last full day in California and we make the most of it by spending our whole day in the Disneyland Park! We hit all our favourite attractions, grab some of the delicious Disney snacks, check out all the Christmas decorations (it's never too early for Christmas!) and have dinner at Docking Bay 7 in Galaxy's Edge.... You will have to watch to find out what we thought of the food there....

Hollywood Studios (Day 3) - Lots of Cast Member Pixie Dust & Lightsaber Builds!
Welcome to another day in our adventure! We are so excited to have you along for our day in Hollywood Studios! We had quite the excellent time, too!
Despite having the app crash as I tried to get a Rise of the Resistance Boarding Pass using my tips and tricks! (This channel's most viewed video!
From Rope Dropping Minnie and Mickey's Runaway Railway, eating some Ronto Wraps, riding the Tower of Terror, Rockin' Roller Coaster, and getting the elusive 1pm Boarding Group for Rise of the Resistance, this day was jam packed!
THEN we got great food at Woody's Lunchbox, Hollywood Brown Derby, rode Rise of the Resistance, and ended the night with an after-hours custom lightsaber build at Savi's Workshop!
IT WAS A GREAT DAY, AND THE DISNEY CAST MEMBERS WERE SO AMAZING TO US!! THANK YOU FOR BEING AWESOME!!
