Iran has some of the best street food around the world, and today, we're flying in direct with Mahan Air to Tehran, Iran to meet up with our friend Mr.Taster! Tehran is one of the oldest and most vibrant cities in the world and has one of the BEST street food scenes too! You need to travel to Iran to try the street food, especially the MEAT in Tehran! Everything is FULL of SAFFRON!!!
Today, we're bringing you Foodrangin' for LOTS of TRADITIONAL and AUTHENTIC Iran Street Food - including the AMAZING 500 KG meat platter and going DEEP into one of the OLD BAZAARS of Tehran! We're also having Persian sandwiches and energy drinks too! My favourite was the butter kabab bowl1!
These Iranian foods are incredibly DELICIOUS, and worth traveling to Iran for! You have to taste this food at least once in your lifetime!
When you travel to Tehran, you will fall in love with the street food as soon as you arrive! Today, we're starting out with a local Iranian BREAKFAST haleem and NOODLE dish! Serving 100's of people every day!
It was found in downtown Tehran in an old bazaar, the Tajrish Bazaar, where there is hundreds of Iranian foods and spices to see!

area where there is street food everywhere! The haleem was SO THICK!!
After this, we're going DEEPER into Tehran by stepping into this HUGE BAZAAR, where there are 1000's of street foods and stalls to visit! This is before we bring you to a MASSIVE IRANIAN MEAT feast in a TRADITIONAL IRANIAN restaurant!
We found a MASSIVE bakery serving traditional Iranian food like Persian bread soaked with date syrup!
And then Mr. Taster brought us to the most buttery Koobideh kabab wrap! It was SOAKED with butter and incredibly juicy!
Next up, we're going to a local Iranian food served in LUXURY style, the PERSIAN MEAT PLATTER at Setaregan Ghaza in Tehran! Here, chef Kapitan Abhed uses his mastery to cook Iranian recipes and make the most tender kababs in the WORLD!
AND he covers it in a SAFFRON OIL and tomato onion sauce served with SAFFRON RICE!!
After tasting the meat platter in Tehran, Mr. Taster is bringing us to eat the MOST BUTTERY kabab bowl in Tehran, at Kabab Kasei Ardabil!

In this Iran travel video, we're going DEEP into the grand bazaar for all the classic Iranian dishes. First up, Mr. Taster is bringing us to try the DIZI, a famous Persian dish made of lamb fat, potato, chickpea, and tomato. It is one of the BEST lamb stews I've ever tasted!

After this, Mr. Taster is bringing us for the BEST Iranian food in Tehran, the Tahchin! He's bringing us to the #1 Iranian restaurant in Tehran, Moslem Restaurant! Here, the Tahchin is FULL of butter and saffron and barberry, a very special local berry! And it's served with PERSIAN CHICKEN CURRY!!! Loaded with onions and turmeric, it's so delicious! This restaurant serves 10,000 people per day!
After this, I'm exploring a little more of the Grand bazaar in Tehran and finding some persian tea at the Haj Ali Darvish Teahouse before meeting up with Mr. Taster again for Iran's most famous food, the ghormeh sabzi. Iran tourism is worth it just to try this dish!
We are going to FlyLand food complex to go into the kitchen to see the Ghormeh sabzi recipe from the chefs themselves before tasting it ourselves! It was full of lamb fat and herbs and greens! Delicious!!!

That's why we traveled here to taste it, especially the whole STUFFED LAMB!

Today, Mr. Taster and Ehsan are bringing us in for a WHOLE Balochi style stuffed GOLD Lamb and some AMAZING Chicken Sajji! This is all Balochistan style street food that you're going to love!
First up, Mr. Taster is bringing us into the local morning market to try some INCREDIBLE Balochi morning street food, like samosa and fried potato. It was very similar to street food in Pakistan and street food in India.
And next up, we're going to try the WHOLE STUFFED LAMB, Balochi style! The tanorche stuffed lamb is a true specialty of this region of Balochistan and Iran and we were lucky to get to taste it! Found at Tanorche Eslam!
This was a little bit similar to the stuffed lamb in quetta that we had last time for our Pakistan street food series! Both were very delicious!
We watched the whole cooking process for the whole goat and watched how it was stuffed with rice and stuffed bell peppers! The whole lamb recipe was INSANE! It was cooked underground for 2 hours and then pulled out and was incredibly smoky and juicy!
And then we went for WHOLE CHICKEN SAJJI! This was quite similar to the Chicken sajji in Quetta as well! There was a lot of SECRET MASALA!

Today, I'm (The Food Ranger, Trevor James) bringing you in DEEP for a FULL ON street food tour of Peshawar, Pakistan. Peshawar is one of the oldest market towns in the world and has one of the richest street food scenes you'll ever witness! You need to travel to Pakistan!

We're going Foodrangin' for tons of FAMOUS Pakistan Street Food - including the AMAZING BBQ Nisar Charsi Tikka Kababs, some amazing UNSEEN Pakistani Pulao, and ULTRA RARE PIZZA NAAN!!
You will fall in love with the street food in Peshawar as soon as you arrive! Today, we're starting out with an UNSEEN Pulao, found in downtown Peshawar in the old area where there is street food everywhere! Here, it was full of basmati rice and huge chunks of beef and huge beef bones with unbelievably delicious bone marrow!
After this, we're going Foodrangin' and finding some local street stalls before going to Nisar Charsi Tikka BBQ Mutton HEAVEN!
First, we found a local Pakistan street food served right on the street, the fruit chaat! It was a delicious fruit salad topped with a rose syrup! This was amazing, but what was even more delicious than this famous food in Pakistan is the Pizza naan we found next!
After tasting the fruit chaat, we walked down a local alley in Peshawar that was full of delicious Pakistani street food, like mutton kerahi (sometimes called Karhai) and fried street fish!
We found one of the most unique street foods in Pakistan, the Pizza naan! It was loaded with tomato, coriander, potato mash, and sliced potato! It was quite salty and was delicious!
After this, we made our way to Namak Mandi in Peshawar to visit the super famous and ultra unique Nisar Charsi Tikka! But first, we found a home cooked Pakistani street food, the Saag! Here, it was served with lassi and also Pakistani corn bread! It was so unique!
And for our final meal, we went to the WORLD FAMOUS Nisar Charsi Tikka! Here, we met the LEGEND himself, Mr. Nisar Charsi! Here, you can get huge BBQ kababs and also delicious Mutton Kerahi! It was so amazing to taste!!!

In today's Iran street food tour video, I am bringing thefoodrenger for a FULL ON street food tour of Gorgon, Iran!!!
First, we're going to try one of the most UNIQUE foods in Iran - BBQ Heart Kababs and liver! AND, we're having BBQ chicken kababs covered in saffron butter!!
Then we are going to Ziarat village to get very delicious local bread covered in saffron and butter.
And then, we're going for some of the BEST CHICKEN in THE WORLD!! The Akbari chicken covered in Pomegranate SAUCE!!
Incredibly delicious!!!

Today, we're traveling to Iran's Persian saffron fields to see how saffron is harvested at the SOURCE in Iran!!! Mr. Taster took The food ranger into the fields to hand pick the individual pieces of saffron and have saffron tea before going to the SAFFRON FACTORY!
We're driving into the NOVIN Saffron FACTORY in Mashhad, Iran! Here, there's definitely over $1,000,000 of saffron in stock, kept in a vault like a BANK!!! We're meeting with the owner himself, Mr. Ali, to take us for a tour of the Novin Saffron Factory and explain to us how saffron is processed and exported all over the world.
And to finish up our Iranian food ADVENTURE, we're going in for a RURAL Iranian village food meal in the countryside at Baghasht Tourism Resort!

Street Food in Waziristan, North Waziristan, Pakistan! Just a few years ago, this region and city of Miranshah Pakistan was overrun with terrorism and violence. Now, today, the area is safe and my friend Ali brought myself and Eva Zu Beck ( ) for a full adventure to the northern region of Waziristan, right near the Afghanistan border!

We had a very quick trip to Waziristan, but from what we saw, it was incredibly beautiful and the people were so hospitable!
The drive up from Islamabad was a long journey and we stopped at quite a few stops along the way to try the street food of Waziristan. Our main destination was Miranshah, a city that was fully overrun with Taliban just a few years ago. On the way there, we stopped for some incredible Pakistani street food.
First, we found some of the BEST BBQ Kababs, super fatty and rich and seasoned so well!! They were right on the side of the street and we ate around 20!
Next, we stopped on the side of the road to try some Waziristan style Pakoras, made with onion and potato, that actually tasted like Chicken!
After this, we went for a huge home cooked Waziristan style home cooked meal that Ali helped arrange. It was very delicious! There were so many plates to choose from, and giant breads and naan's!
And once we finally reached into Miranshah, we found a little Chapli kabab joint that made super plump Chapli kabab beef patties loaded up with coriander seed and chili seed and spices! You can eat it with naan bread and it sops up all the oil and it's so satisfying!
After this, we had to turn around, but in our short trip to Miranshah, we fell in love with the hospitality and the people we all met were very friendly and wouldn't let us pay for a single meal!

Mark Wiens and I traveled to the city of Rasht and Masouleh in the province of Gilan, which is in northern Iran and along the Caspian Sea.
A very pleasant city, lush and mostly with rainy weather with beautiful views and a variety of delicious food. For our first taste testing, we went to a restaurant called Mohammad Sibil, which prepared Anchovies, white fish, Fesenjan Khotka and Vavishka stew, which are famous and popular dishes of this region and Iranians, which in fact were very tasty.
Vavishka stew is prepared from a combination of minced meat, onion and fried potatoes. It is just wonderful.
Fesenjan stew is one of the most popular dishes in northern Iran and all Iranian people, which is prepared from walnut kernels, meat, pomegranate paste, pepper, salt and onion and it is very tasty.

Shah Abd al-Azeem
In Tehran there is a ziarat (Shah Abd al- Azeem) and in the same complex there are 2 others - Hazrat Hamze (a.s.) and Hazrat Tahir (a.s.). Ask the driver to stay with you for the whole trip – he should also take you to the airport afterwards.
If you have luggage the shrine people can store it for you – you don’t even need to ask. As you enter the shrine they will tell you you can’t enter with your luggage and show you where you need to deposit it. This is at the other end of the smallish courtyard. When I went to collect my luggage this time, I asked the security person where I could get a taxi to the airport, he told me the shrine has its own taxi service! This was very reasonably priced and saved having to wait around on the street.
The receipt they gave me is here and you may find it useful in case you want to find the office - which is quite some distance from the shrine and the route is through the market ... (show it to someone).
If you decide to stay overnight in Tehran then you can get to the ziarats etc. on the subway/underground (very easy to navigate). This is not only much cheaper than the taxi, but also much faster as well. Tehran traffic is very bad.
The station for Shah Abd al-Azeem (Shahr-e-Ray, I think) is a couple of stops before that – but you will have to take a taxi from there – but the ziarat is well known and the drivers should have no problems finding it.
