Slovakia's traditional instrument Fujara being played by Michal Smetanka at Raasrang World Flute Festival at New Delhi on 23-25th September, 2016.
Michal Smetanka, a famous Slovak musician and multi instrumentalist, will play traditional flute music from the Carpathian mountains (notably regions of Spis and Saris in Slovakia). He has been featured soloist and guest in several folk ensembles, and performed at festivals in Europe and Asia. Michal also performed for the British Queen Elizabeth II, Japan royal family and several presidents, statesmen and other significant personalities.
Now audience in Delhi has a unique chance to see live performance of a Slovak folk music, including the play on the famous 'fujara' -- almost two meter-long shepherd pipe, which is listed among the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
The concert will be presented under the umbrella of 7th Raasrang World Flute Festival organised by Krishna Prerna Charitable Trust.
