ULTIMATE FAMILY VACATION in PIGEON FORGE- RV Living
We spent 1 week in Pigeon Forge, TN and it was AMAZING! We knew we had to share it with you because this needs to be on your summer list of things to do. We consider this place Las Vegas for kids. We've never seen such a cool town that has tons of amazing things to do for the whole family. Whether you are an adrenaline seeker or you like to stroll around the shops and restaurants, this town has it ALL! This video showcases over 10 different activities that you can do as a family and create life long memories. This is our 2nd time to Pigeon Forge and we have decided that this will be on our list of things we do every summer because it is just that fun! Our kids are still talking about all of the adventures we did.

26 квітня минає 35 років від того часу, як на Чорнобильській АЕС трапилася одна з найбільших техногенних катастроф людства. Тема, про яку дуже багато написано, знято фільмів та ще більше сказано. Більшою мірою до публічного дискурсу та об’єктиву телекамер потрапляє сама АЕС, радіолокаційна станція Дуга, місто Прип’ять та його околиці. У цей же самий час вкрай мало інформації, а моментами вона взагалі відсутня та забута, щодо сіл, хуторів, котрі ще за тисячі років до появи АЕС існували та жили своїм неквапним ритмом у цих болотистих та лісових краях.
У кінці березня 2021 року команда ХАЩІ разом та завдяки туристичному оператору GAMMA TRAVEL здійснили дводенну експедицію в зону відчуження. Ми спробували заглянути в сільський Чорнобиль, у місця, які зазвичай оминає загал та масовий турист, місця, про які мало говорять, місця, котрі з кожним роком все більше зникають.

April 26 marks 35 years since one of the greatest man-made catastrophes of mankind occurred at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. A topic about which a lot has been written, films made and even more has been said. The NPP itself, the Duga radar station, the city of Pripyat and its environs are more in the public discourse and lens of TV cameras.
At the same time, there is very little information, and in some places it is completely absent and forgotten, about the villages and hamlets that existed thousands of years before the NPP and lived at a leisurely pace in these swamps and forests.
At the end of March 2021, the HASCHI team together and thanks to the tour operator GAMMA TRAVEL made a two-day expedition to the exclusion zone. We tried to look at rural Chernobyl, places that are usually bypassed by the general and mass tourists, places that are little talked about, places that are disappearing more and more every year.

How to Plan an Epic RV Trip to Yellowstone
Tip #1 - Be prepared for Bears: You are almost guaranteed to come across a Brown or Black bear in the park. Their numbers are up to over 1000 and they are very active in the summer. Encounters are frequently not dangerous, but be prepared by carrying bear spray, which you can order here:

Tip #2 Check for Wildfires: Wildfires are very common in this are in the summer. While we were there we had a few days where smoke chocked the valleys. Know where they are by checking the alerts tab on the websites, or check inciweb for details on fires in the entire region.
Tip #3 Drink LOTS of water: Both parks are at high elevations above 6,000 feet with many hikes above 10,000 feet. At these elevations and in the dry conditions found in the parks in summer, your body loses water over twice as fast as at sea level. Pack plenty of water and keep hydrated!

Tip #4 Avoid the crowds by visiting early in the morning or late in the evening: We went exploring around 6:00 each morning and after 6:00 in the evening. In the mornings the park will start to fill by 9:00 and be busy untill 6:00 in the evening.
Tip #5 Consider Camping Outside the Parks: While visiting we stayed in national forest campgrounds on the outskirts of the parks. Not only are the campgrounds crazy busy in the parks they are quite expensive for not having any hookups at most of them. Use the website to find campgrounds.
Tip #6 Be respectful of wildlife: Visiting the park you will get up close and personal with lots of big animals. Dont get too close or you will get hurt. Also do not feed the animals, We saw people feeding foxes and squirrels. Doing this gets animals too reliant on humans or makes them dangerous.
Help spread the message with these cool stickers:
#7 Be Wary of other drivers in the park: We have never had so many close calls with vehicular accidents as our time in the park. There are so many distractions and so many people, many with RV's and large vehicles. This is a recipe for disaster so driver defensively, and watch out for other drivers. Drive safely and don't cause an accident.
#8 Stop at the Visitors' Centers: They are incredibly helpful and will help you have the best experience possible. Utilize their service when you get to the park!
#9 Leave your dogs at home: Your dogs are not allowed on any trails or any undeveloped place in the park. Your dog smells like a wolf to many wildlife and screws up natural patterns. Many large animals are also more likely to attack you with a dog. We saw to many people disobeying these rules. Don't be that person. You could also face hefty fines.
#10 Be safe, don't push your luck: Think things through and don't go beyond your means. We saw many people doing dangerous things or clearly unprepared. Be smart and stay safe.

Yellowstone Wolf Experience - Webinar with Jon Trapp, Wolf Biologist
This year Zephyr is launching a brand new Yellowstone Wolf & Snowshoe Adventure where we will explore the park with wolf biologist, Jon Trapp, in search of these fascinating creatures.
Jon Trapp served overseas as an Air Force intelligence officer, worked as a wolf biologist across the West, and is currently a national wildland fire manager. His experience with wolves ranges from Arizona and New Mexico with the Mexican Gray Wolf reintroduction program to Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. He has an undergraduate degree from NAU and a Masters degree in Conservation Biology.
Jon taught wolf ecology and management courses at the Yellowstone Institute for 15 years. He is the Assistant Fire Chief at Red Lodge Fire Rescue and is on two national fire incident management teams as a Fire Behavior Analyst. His experiences have brought about a unique perspective on wildlife, landscape ecology, and the impacts of climate change.

Located in a lush mountain valley, Beulah was well-known in the Old West as the perfect hideout. Impenetrable from both a legal and physical standpoint, outlaws sought shelter there, and today isn't much different as Beulah is the perfect place to hide from the summer heat! Averaging 20 degrees cooler than the nearby plains, many visit the area to enjoy the comfortable weather and beautiful scenery. (April 8, 2023)

Wawona Chinese Laundry 2023 | Yosemite
YeeFit Adventures - Welcome back to #Yosemite, #California. I am excited to take you along to the Chinese Laundry exhibit located in #Wawona just inside the Southern terminus
of Yosemite National Park. Mid-July, 2023 marks two years after the grand opening and I'm excited to share the updates to the building as well as plans for the future.
A crucial contribution that made restoration of the building possible came from Franklin and Sandra Yee (My Aunt and Uncle), Sacramento residents who donated a large portion in commemoration of Sandra Yee’s parents’ love for Yosemite. I also wanted to thank the Yosemite Conservancy and Park Ranger YenYen Chan for doing the research and telling the history of the Chinese in Yosemite.
Come prepared for a enriching experience, wear comfortable shoes, and enjoy yourself on this adventure!
