Exumas Bahamas 2020 Part 2 (Pandemic Escape) FINAL CHAPTER EP .10

This a glimpse of our past vacation to the Bahamas this past July for a period of 2 weeks and continuation to the fist video (part 1). We enjoyed the Bahamas and as usual, we spent several weeks at a time there.... From all our visits to the Bahamas, this time was a bit more challenging than usual. We had to comply with various requirement to be granted entry and clearance to enter the Bahamas due to the covid 19 pandemic. We made the trip in our Renegade RSS33 center console. For more information about the boat, go take a look at

Boating from Miami to The Bahamas in a 21 Foot Ski Boat

In May of 2013, we took my 21' Bayliner Cuddy Cabin Ski Boat from Miami, Florida to Bimini, Bahamas. While there, we boated, wakeboarded, scube dove, snorkeled, checked out shipwrecks, and played on uninhabited beaches the entire time. There were a couple small islands during the trip where we would have the entire island to ourselves, as you can see by us being the only ones on them with our poor little boat looking lonely all by itself in the water. Some of the islands and reefs we went to included: North Bimini, South Bimini, Holm Cay, Gun Cay, Cat Cay, The Sapona Shipwreck, The Gallant Lady Shipwreck, Turtle Rocks Reef, Triangle Rocks Reef, Piquet Rocks, Three Sisters Rocks, North Rock, and we even found the Lost Road to Atlantis and Drank from the Fountain of youth. It was quite a journey with 24 hours of driving from Missouri to Miami, then the boat ride from Miami to the Bahamas. We had easterly winds the day we Crossed the Gulf Stream so we had to go slow and steady. It took about 6 hours to get from Miami to Bimini. We used 43 gallons of gas getting there. We had Westerly winds for the ride back so we got back in about half the time and used only 35 gallons getting back. Crossing the Gulf Stream of the Atlantic in a 21 foot ski boat wasn't exactly a piece of cake, but it was totally worth it. I can't wait to do it again.

Miami to Exuma Bahamas on Sea-Doos Part V: Paradise

Paradise is exploring the most beautiful place you've ever seen and not having to share that place with anyone...

Day 3 of our expedition into the Exuma Islands. We departed Norman's Cay, spent the day navigating the tidal creeks of Shroud Cay, and then parasailed from Shroud to Highborn Cay.

All footage was shot using multiple GoPro HD cameras along with a variety of mounts and extension rods.

Miami to Exuma Bahamas on Sea-Doos (The Journey)

On May 24th 2014, 4 friends set out on the adventure of a lifetime. Departing Haulover Marina in Miami, Florida in a jet boat and a jet ski, the crew set out to the Exuma Islands in the Bahamas. This video shows the 240 mile journey we took to finally reach Allen Cay. Allen Cay was our first stop of what was the most amazing experience of a lifetime. Day 1 was the longest journey of the expedition with a total of 150 miles covered (Miami - Chub Cay). Day 2 consisted of departing Chub Cay and heading to Nassau for some fuel and food before finally reaching Allen Cay. We made it! We accomplished making it to the Exumas in 2 days! Now the vacation began!!

Broadreach Bahamas 2015 (MBI trip)

Sea turtles, pufferfish, barracudas, sharks, baby octopus, cliff jumping, bat caves, and boat trips all happened during this magnificent marine biology adventure in San Salvador, Bahamas. The best part of this trip, for me, was sharing it with the 7 dwarves. A group of 7 students and 2 instructors shared the excitement, adrenaline, and discoveries this summer. We also shared lots of laughs, stuffed cupcakes in our mouths, and were constantly smiling and joking. I loved the crystal clear water and variety of marine life, but I loved the group of people I met even more. Thanks to all those who made it happen this year! Hope you enjoy a little glimpse at what it was like.

Bahamas | America | World Travel Studio

The Bahamas (officially named The Commonwealth of The Bahamas) or The Bahama Islands, is an archipelago consisting of many islands. There are about 2,000 islands if you include the cays which are small islands that are formed on coral reefs. The word Bahamas is of Spanish descent and means 'Shallow Water'. They are located in the Atlantic Ocean, not the Caribbean Sea.

Miami To Exuma Bahamas on Sea-Doos Part VI: Island Explorers

Explored the Exuma islands from Norman's Cay down to Staniel Cay. Total distance for the day was roughly 40 miles. We stopped half way at Warderick Wells to refuel on the beach. Warderick Wells is the headquarters of the Exuma Land and Sea Park. From there were continued south and discovered a nice beach at what turned out to be Johnny Depp's private island Little Halls Pond. Continuing further south, our final stop before Staniel was at Thunderball Grotto. The cave is named after the James Bond movie Thunderball which had scenes filmed there. It was also used in the movies Splash and Into The Blue. The water currents through the cave are insane and swimming out of the cave was extremely difficult, especially while carrying gear. After leaving Thunderball we checked in at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club, explored the island, and got some rest.

Merrythought: Pineapple Cup - Miami to Jamaica, February 2017

In February 2017 I joined skipper/owner, Michael Peacock and crew on the beautiful 62 ft. aluminum racing cruiser, Merrythought. We were to sail in the annual Pineapple Cup sailboat race from Miami, Florida to Montego Bay, Jamaica. We had a very good chance to do well in this race. Merrythought won it in 1991 in 5 days, 20 hours. We were sailing very well for three days when in the pitch-black, dark, moonless night, in heavy seas, near-disaster struck.

This video attempts to highlight the beauty of sailing a fantastic boat like Merrythought in challenging seas, while celebrating the courage of eight men who survived a near tragic event at sea, hundreds of miles from the nearest land.
