I've got a chance to visit many buffets, from the iconic Buffets in Las Vegas to the grand buffets in France, but there's just something about the buffets in Asia that sets them apart. Today, I get to visit a buffet in Bali Indonesia and it's not just any buffet, but proclaimed to be the best in Bali! And what does the best luxury 5 star buffet offer? I'm excited to find out!

The St Regis Bali Resort offers a very unique start to the buffet. The first hour, from 11am - 12pm, is an unlimited cocktail hour where the resort offers their best cocktails for you to enjoy and start off the brunch the right way. The plenty of drinks and libations to choose from and on an unlimited basis at that, celebrations erupted early and the hour flew by.

Next was on to the second phase of the buffet! A quick walk from the lounge to the dinner area, you were greeted with the servers and hosts upon entry. And while there were more drinks to come should you chose your appropriate beverage package, I was more than happy with the alcoholic drinks especially the water! But it's really about the food and they certainly lived up to the expectations of being the best buffet in Bali! From the caviar, to the lobster as well as all the intricate well thought out dishes like the eggs nouvelle with a soft egg custard covering a perfectly poached lobster with salmon roe on top to offer a nice kick. Or the roasts of Wagyu beef cooked to medium and the plates and plates of foie gras and other decadent dishes... It was a wonder 3 hours of non-stop cuisine...from the International fare to the local dishes, there something for everyone.

And of course, it's alway the people you meet that makes the experience special. From the great servers and hosts to the amazing fellow guests that you get connect with. Amazing ladies from Australia celebrating birthdays and friendships, and a big thank you them for sharing the laughs, smiles, and their champagne.

AMAZING All You Can Eat BRUNCH BUFFET in Jakarta Indonesia

I have always said, all you can eat buffets in Asia are far superior than my previous favorite buffet town of Las Vegas. As it stands my favorite all you can eat buffet was at the Hotel Nikko Saigon Seafood Buffet.

But in Jakarta at the Pullman hotel, there is a Sunday brunch buffet that is out of this world! With all you can eat seafood including LOBSTERS cooked the way you want and all this can be had for around $34 which makes this the most value driven brunch buffet I've ever been to.
