Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries before 2020 and all 7 continents, we have no plans to slow down anytime soon, and we are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

RV NEWBIE First 48 Hours of RV Living in a Winnebago Travato ???? 1st BLACK TANK Dump!

Check out my van tour here:

Like the title says, RV Newbie First 48 Hours of RV Living in a Winnebago Travato including my 1st Van Life Black Tank Dump. I finally got my new RV a Winnebago Travato 59KL National Park edition.

I am sharing my first 48 hours of RV living / Van Life from an RV newbie perspective. I dump my black tank for the first time and made my first first black tank dump error of my full time RV living life! I also look for RV camping spot as I navigate how I am going to do make this full time RV living dream a reality!

I picked up my Winnebago Travato from Lichtsinn RV in Forest City Iowa. I spent my first night of RV living boondocking in Winnebago's service camping spot. I had a pretty restless night of van life but all in all it wasn't too bad.

The second night I was determined to find an RV camping spot with a good view! As an RV newbie I wasn't quite sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by the great little RV camping spot I found. Not bad for an RV newbie!!!

The next day I decided to head down to Missouri to get my license plates. Before I left I decided to do my 1st RV black tank dump. I was so ready for expected RV newbie mistakes - and I did make one of those simple RV mistakes but I recovered and my 1st black tank dump went pretty well!

Let me know what kind of content you want to see from this full time RV Living, RV newbie! I am excited about sharing my experience with the RV living and van life communities and learn all the RV tips and tricks from more experienced RV living and van life veterans!

Why I Chose A Class B VAN ???? Full Time RV LIVING in a Winnebago TRAVATO 59KL

In today's travel vlog, I discuss why i chose a class b van for full time RV living in a Winnebago Travato.

I've had my RV two weeks and and released two videos:

1 - RV NEWBIE First 48 Hours of RV Living in a Winnebago Travato ???? 1st BLACK TANK Dump!
2 - Tour of My Winnebago TRAVATO 59KL National Park Edition ???? Class B CAMPER VAN Tour

These videos RV living, van life videos have done pretty well so far. I never realized how many people would be interesting in my RV life in a Winnebago Travato campervan. It's been awesome to see s many interested in my tiny house on whees. h

I answer a bunch of different questions in this video about RV living in a van including:

Why I chose a class b van?
Why I chose the Winnebago Travato 59KL National Park Edition?
How much my RV cost and what other versions of the Travato cost.
Where will I be going RV camping in. the future?
What is the Volta Power System? Do I like Volta, Would I recommend Volta.

I picked up my Winnebago Travato 59KL National Park Edition 2 weeks ago and have been making this van life dream camper into my tiny home on wheels. I bought this campervan with full time RV living in mind. I have been fascinated with the RV lifestyle and the tiny home movement for a while. I've been a minimalist for the last 5 years and began living in nothing but studio apartments a few years ago. So the transition into the RV life in the Winnebago Travato has been pretty easy.

Even though it is a tiny home on wheels this RV has plenty of storage space. I'm a bit spoiled with all the upgrades that the Winnebago Travato 59KL National Park Edition class b van comes with. I am still preparing for life on the road and the quote/unqoute vanlife RV living, RV lifestyle! But it's been a ton a fun.

Let me know what you think of my RV - the Winnebago Travato 59KL National Park edition class b van! I am excited about sharing my experience with the RV living and van life communities and learning all the RV tips and tricks from more experienced RV living and van life veterans!

RV Newbie ???? First Week of Van Life on the Road ⛰️ First Harvest Hosts & Boondocking Experience

In today's RV Living travel vlog, this RV Newbie First Week of Van Life on the Road including my First Harvest Hosts camping & Boondocking experiences.

Welcome back to another addition of full time RV living in my Winnebago Travato 59KL National park addition camper van. In this video drive from Missouri to Salida Colorado, staying in a Harvest Hosts location, moochdocking in a couple Remote Year friend's driveways, and finally I do some BLM camping and boondocking. BLM stands for Bureau of Land Management for the purposes of the van life video!

Life on the road in my Winnebago Travato has been nothing short of amazing. It's been the perfect full time RV campervan thus far. I hit the road as an RV newbie recently and I wanted to share with you my first week of van life on the road.

The ride from Missouri to Salina, passing through Loveland CO and Breckenridge CO is an over 17 hour drive. I was going to need to pull my my camper van over somewhere and crash for the night on the way to Loveland, Colorado.

I recently signed up for a program called Harvest Hosts. The Harvest Hosts membership is around $60 with the discount code below. With the membership you have access to over 1000 Harvest Hosts camping spots at wineries, breweries, museums, farms and golf courses. I opted for a Harvest Hosts camping location at a farm in Manhattan, Kansas. It was an awesome RV life experience and I can't recommend Harvest Hosts enough. Such a great value for full time RVers or the weekend RV getaway person.

The next morning I got up early for more RV travel and more van life on the road! It was an 8 hour drive from my Harvest Hosts camping spot to my friend Lindsey's house. One of my RV tips is to leave early when you have a long trip, it just seems to go by faster when you get up early and head out for life on the road. I am not trying to tell anyone how to RV - it just works for me!

Living in a van has its perks. One of them is I take my tiny home on wheels with me every where I go. I arrived at Lindsey's around 2pm, parked my Winnebago Travato campervan in her driveway for some moochdocking. I had a meal and some great conversation before turning in for the night for some RV camping in my camper van. I love living in an RV!

After moochdocking at Lindsey's, I got back on the road and headed for my next RV camping spot in Breckenridge Colorado. My Remote Year friends Abby and Jon rented a house in Breckenridge and offered to let me do some RV camping in their driveway. Again, full time RVing has some perks including RV camping at some pretty cool places for little money!

I had a great time with Abby and Jon. We did some hiking and explored Breckenridge again before I retired for the night to so some more driveway RV camping! Did I mention of love RV living and living in a van!!

Ok, it was finally time to head to my final location for some real boondocking RV living style. Amber, from Story Chasing, has invited me out to Colorado for some BLM camping on some Bureau of Land Management land. I took her up on the offer because she's been doing this for almost 4 years and her how to RV skills are through the roof. I knew she'd be able to explain BLM camping to me!

We arrived at the BLM camping spot. I set mu my on little van life RV living spot and hung out there for almost a week in my Winnebago Travato 59KL National Park Edition. Was so awesome and exactly what I was looking for from my RV living in a van life!!!

Thanks for tuning in! See you next week for more RV camping and van life adventures, Winnebago Travato camper van style!

I have a really cool treat for you today, I had the privilege of interviewing a fellow Xscaper, Cass, and got the meet her cool cat Napoleon and cute dog Jasper. as well a take an RV tour of her really awesome Airstream Basecamp.

Cass will also answer some of the questions you submitted! Ok Cass definitely has a luxury RV with this Airstream Basecamp. It has amazing views that rival even the best RV living rigs and it was of the most amazing tiny home on wheels I've seen.

As mentioned Cass is living the solo female rv life and has been for over 2 years. She shares her insights on RV living with cats, RV living with dogs, and RV living with pets in general in her Airstream Basecamp. She gives us an amazing RV tour and goes really into what full time RV living is like while traveling as a solo female. Cass also shares some of her favorite RV camping spots she's visited.

I really appreciate Cass sharing her RV life and giving us an RV tour of her tiny home on wheels, the Airstream Basecamp and introducing us to her cat and dog. This was my first time interviewing someone about Rv living with pets. So that was very interesting.

The topics we discuss in the RV tour and Full Time RV Living interview are: solo female RV living, what RV living is like in the solo female rv life, rv living with dogs, rv living with cats, rv living with pets, full time rv living, full time rv, airstream, airstream basecamp, rv life, rv lifestyle, rv travel, rving, rv camping, rv living full time, rv life full time, full time rving, travel trailer, basecamp, camper, tiny home, tiny home on wheels, tiny house on wheels, tiny house, best rv, camping, travel, AND luxury RV.

What do you think? Is the Airstream Basecamp the best RV for Solo Female Full Time RV living?

IF YOU’RE NOT FROM MEXICO, there’s a good chance you’ve never heard of Huasteca. Americans tend to stick with the tried and true vacation spots they’ve heard of such as Cancun and Cabo when traveling to Mexico. More intrepid travelers might visit Oaxaca, Mexico City and San Miguel Allende. However, one of the most beautiful spots in the entire country is only a two-and-a-half hour drive from Tampico or a 12-hour drive from Houston. This secret oasis remains almost unknown to American tourism. It is called Huasteca, San Luis Potosí.

Thanks for sharing a REAL day of van life in Mexico with us!

A video you may enjoy if you liked today's vlog:
DAILY VAN LIFE ROUTINE IN MEXICO

Today's van life vlog begins in Bernal Queretaro where the three of us (couple + dog) hike up one of the world's largest monoliths to get a jump start on the day. Yes, I know what you're thinking...Rojo has become quite the adventure dog already! Then we stock up on a few things (tortillas and avocados.. you know the important stuff) and head to our first stop in San Luis Potosi: Puente De Dios. Here we have a quick swim to cool off from this extreme Mexican heat. We then make our way to Xilita to visit Sir Edward James' surrealist garden and realize that Semana Santa makes for a very challenging week of exploring.

Las Pozas is English artist Edward James’ vision of the Garden of Eden, and it’s trippy AF. The 80-acre, surreal “park” is built in thick jungle and is teeming with waterfalls, pools, and unusual concrete sculptures. It feels like a movie set -- or a long-lost abandoned civilization for fairies, and mythical creatures. James began building here in 1949 and over the course of 35 years, scores of these surreal structure were created like stairs that lead to nowhere and concrete flowers next to real ones.

We have loved living in a van (self converted sprinter van) for the last year and a half and while we enjoy spending time in Canada it can get a little cold throughout the winter. So, we've decided to hit the road and drive across the continent to enjoy some warmer weather in Baja Mexico. If our last trip to this country taught us anything... it's to expect the unexpected!!

The Traveling Van Life in Mexico; hot, sticky, but oh so much fun!

RV Living in Colorado ???? RV Boondocking Mistake & Success ???? Free RV Camping in a Camper Van

In today's van life RV living travel vlog, I show you RV Living in Colorado, an RV Boondocking Mistake and Success, and Free RV Camping in a Camper Van.

So I decided to break camp and try some RV living boondocking on my own. I headed for Twin Lakes for some RV boondocking but quickly realized that was a mistake. Twin Lakes is a really popular area and I made a boondocking mistake and tried to find a boondocking rv site on a Friday afternoon!

Bad idea, Colorado RV camping is the best but find a boondocking spot on a Friday or a Saturday is really not smart. Since my RV living is full time, I can plan my boondocking RV moves and make sure I try to find Colorado RV camping on a weekday!

Eventually I did find a free camping spot. I tucked my campervan back into a van life spot I found on Campendium. If you are a into vanlife or rv living make sure you check out campendium and then bounce that RV camping recommendation off freecampsites.net.

If this is your first time to my channel I travel in a Winnebago Travel 59KL. Im loving my Travato so far and really happy with what Winnebago put together here. I will continue to explore RV boondocking spot living in my van and continue to pass on my cheap RV living tips. Van living is not for everyone but I've quickly discovered I love living in my campervan.

Check back for more boondocking, RV living, RV life, van life and Travato content.

Thanks for watching,

Kevin

Exploring Cronulla - First 48 Hours of Van Life in Australia

We finally started our van life Australia adventure! After getting the van ready for the journey, we left Sydney and headed down to Cronulla to meet up with some friends and check out what this beautiful seaside town has to offer. Of course, it wasn't all smooth sailing though!

During our time in Cronulla, we visited Kamay Botany Bay National Park to check out the humpback whale sculptures, walked along the gorgeous coastal cliffs, went swimming at Salmon Haul and went down to nearby Royal National Park after one of our followers recommended we see Wattamolla Beach.

It's been a great way to start our Van Life in Australia journey, and we can't wait to see what comes next!

VAN TOUR ???? Solo Female Living in a Van Conversion ???? Amazing TINY HOUSE on Wheels

In today's van life vlog, we get a Van Tour from Bev, a Solo Female Living in a Van Conversion!

It is an amazing tiny house on wheels that cost only $5,500. She added another $1,500 in upgrades - so Bev is full time RV living and enjoying van life in a van that cost $7,000. Wait until you see the inside, it is such a beautiful tiny house on wheels and an amazing van conversion for such an affordable price.

Bev is 57 and proud and was fascinated by solo female RV living and was interested in exploring solo female fan life. She is into minimalism so the storage limitations of a campervan were not in issue for Bev. A friend of hers does van life builds and offered to sell her her latest van conversion. Bev was a little unsure at first about living in a van build. She went camping with her friend and vell in love with this camper van conversion. So she bought the RV camper van for $5,500.

Follow Bev on Instgram here:

She was really excited about solo female van life and adding more solo female travel to her already extensive list of travel locations but she wanted something that could work at campgrounds but also had some tiny house off grid capability. So she invested another $1,500 in to her RV camper van conversion and made it more suitable for off grid living.

Bev's van life build is truly amazing. It's such a comfortable and amazing tiny house on wheels. It really made me think about how accessible this full time RV life really is. Bev also addresses the apprehension of some to solo female van life, solo female rv lving, and solo female travel in general. She talks about the groups she's a member of that have helped her transition into solo female van life.

This was an amazing van tour and I hope you enjoyed me profiling another van life, rv living person other than myself. It's such a cool community of full time RV living people. Thanks for watching and reading another van tour!

My First Van Life Birthday | The Tale of Bordeaux

This is my first Van Life birthday! ???? Since we are currently in France, we thought it would be fun to visit Bordeaux for the day to celebrate my birthday! Bordeaux has a lot to offer and no doubt you can spend days exploring it, so this is only a whistle stop tour.

As this was a special birthday trip, we did not want the filming to take over the day, so we decided to try a different style but still share the day with you all.

We felt the best way to really get to know the city would be by foot and the most economical as we are on a budget.

The Jardin Public is a beautiful green space in the centre of the city with a lake, a natural history museum and a puppet theatre. You can spend hours wondering around this beautiful park. This is also where we had our packed lunch that we had made the day before.

After lunch, we headed towards the Garron riverbank, taking in more of the city’s lovely sites. The riverbank was very spacious with lots of open spaces for people to hang out so it meant it was also perfect to people watch.

Along the river, you can see the Place de la Bourse and the water mirror, which is the world’s largest reflecting pool, we would definitely recommend anyone to check it out.

Walking around the city, we also visited the Grosse Cloche de Bordeaux, St Andre cathedral, Monument aux Girondins, St Michel Cathedral and the old town where we stopped for couple of famous glasses of Bordeaux wine.

Bordeaux is a charming city and I had a wonderful day; one that I’ll cherish for years to come. We both fell in love with the city and would love to return someday.

This was an incredibly special birthday for me as Danny’s surprise literally made my day. I cannot believe that Wild We Roam were kind enough to take time off their busy schedules to wish me a happy birthday. Dana and Lou from Wild We Roam have inspired us in many ways and for that we will always be grateful.

We are also incredibly humbled by all your support and kindness. It is exciting to see our channel grow and would like to thank you for coming along with us on our journey.

All our love,

Danny and Tulu

TOUR CLASS B RV Travato GL after 48 HOURS of VANLIFE | Vanlife in a Travato GL

#vanlife #travato #59GL #lithium

Published 24-Oct-18

The first 48 hours with my Travato GL included many firsts, including: setting up “house”, stealth street camp, short road trip, stealth camping in a public parking lot, and trying out the Planet Fitness morning shower routine. Watch how I pack the Travato and decided what should go and what should stay. Those 48 hours were a great “test drive” of full-time Vanlife.

INTRUDERS in my Campsite // ????I’m ALONE AGAIN Solo Female RV Living

I’m ALONE AGAIN Solo Female RV Living ????// INTRUDERS in my Campsite. This is my first video of Season 4 as a solo female RV living full time and also marks my the completion of 3 years of off grid living in an RV and camper van. It's hard to believe I've been full time RV living, off grid, boondocking on BLM, boondocking on national forest lands.

Many times I'm a nomad camping alone, but lately, I've been camping with Xscapers and friends and RV boondocking and wild camping in groups. I'm camping in Colorado, specifically camping in Salida Colorado. If you haven't seen my videos before on my van life, I'm a digital nomad, camping in my van and RV (in mostly free camping like boondocking in the forest or BLM land), and have mostly traveled as a solo female in full time RV.

This nomadic RV Life is amazing and I experience new things constantly like the intruders in my campsite, altitude sickness, and problems breathing at high altitudes during exercise.

★ How I Got Started
Hi, I'm Amber and in May 2017 I started this nomadic journey after selling my house and all my belongings to pursue this crazy dream of living out of my RV full-time and traveling all around North America.

After 1 year of traveling, I sold my 26 foot Winnebago Class C RV for a more nimble Class B Hymer Aktiv van. I couldn't have been more excited to continue my second year in a van that allows me to travel to more places and experience more in life. Now I'm in my 4th year!

3 Years Full Time RV (MISTAKES, REGRETS, SURPRISES) Lessons Learned

3 Years Full Time RV (MISTAKES, REGRETS, SURPRISES) Lessons Learned - I've learned a lot in the last 3 years about how I want to live more fully, self care, travel slower, possibly get another new RV (this time a truck camper by Host possibly), and be more present. I talk about about things I've never discussed on here like my RV mistakes, regrets, surprises along the way, and....well...my love life and dating on the road.

Amazing VAN LIFE Boondocking ???? RV LIVING Tips & Hacks ⛰️ EPIC Colorado Hikes

In today's vanlife travel vlog, I give you a glimpse into My Van Life Week of RV Boondocking in Colorado and Wyoming, I share with you some of my Colorado Hikes and some of my RV living tips, tricks and hacks and finally I hit up the Adventure Van Expo / Winnebago Revel Rally!

Hi! I am Kevin! I travel the US in my Winnebago Travato 59KL. Living in a van is pretty awesome! This van life week proved that statement. I was hanging out in Colorado for the better part of a month, boondocking on BLM and National Forest land. I met a group of Xscapers and the invited me to come along on a couple of hikes - one to the 14,300 foot Mount Shavano and the other to a secluded mountain lake.

I was getting ready to head to Grand Teton National Park when my Travato friend Jenny sent me a message saying she was going to crash the Winnebago Revel Rally at the Adventure Van Expo and wanted to know if I would join! I said heck yeah but first I had to make a van life pit stop down in Colorado Springs to get my Travato's volta box fixed. Breaking stuff is part of my RV living experience!

After I got that fixed I headed to find a boondocking spot halfway between Colorado Springs and the Adventure Van Expo. It was an amazing boondocking spot in Green River, Wyoming. By far the best van life boondocking spot I've had. I didn't want to leave...I could have lived in my camper van in that spot for months! It's an amazing spot to park and enjoy this RV life.

But I had to get to the adventure van expo, so I headed out but not before I discussed some of the RV living Tips, tricks and Hacks I've figured out after almost two months of vanlife. The first is a tiny home on wheels cleaning tip, the second is a van life rodent prevention tip, the third is how i do laundry in RV life, and the last is my new van life black tank dumping strategy. Hope you enjoy these campervan RV living tips.

I finally made it to the Adventure Van Expo in Alta Wyoming. It's an awesome spot to gather van lifers. Even though this was a Winnebago Revel Rally, there ended up being 7 Winnebago Travato RV vans there. It was really cool to meet a bunch of other Travato full time van life folks. I made some life long friends that I plan on camping with soon! Solo van life is amazing!

Oh and I got to meet Joe and Kait from We're the Russos!

Till next week - see you on the road!

VAN TOUR & VAN MODS Review of Hymer Aktiv After 2 Years of RV Life / Van Life

Van tour and van mods review of Hymer Aktiv after 2 years of van life. I've been living the RV life for over 3 years now! Join me on this van tour and all the modifications I've made to the Hymer Aktiv camper van on the Ram Promaster 2500 chassis. This is a Hymer Aktiv 1.0 van review (a class b review) after van living in a class b camper van for the last 2 years. When I first purchased the 2018 Hymer Aktiv, a van conversion camper, I did a complete Hymer Aktiv walk through in my camper van tour video and followed it up with a campervan tour Q&A video. Since then, I’ve been living in a van full-time as a solo woman traveler and enjoying the van life. Now that I’ve been living in the Hymer Aktiv 2018 campervan for 2 years, I’ve learned many things that I really enjoy about the Hymer and vanlife, like the nimbleness, the volstart system, the cassette toilet, and ease at which I can travel as a solo female rver; however, there are some things that need improvement on the Hymer RV which is on the RAM Promaster chassis. I've made some modifications and added accessories that I show in the video.

Van Life in France | Wild Camping During the Pandemic

We have been in France for 2 weeks now and we are extremely excited to share our experience with you. There have been so many questions about what it is like to travel around France now, hopefully this video will give you some answers.

We have been wild camping since we arrived in France and this week, we are in Lacanau.

Lacanau is a city to the west of Bordeaux on the Atlantic coast but we parked our home next to a lake. This was such a lovely spot that we ended up staying for nearly a week. It's still early days, but so far, this has been our favourite wild camping spot!

As always we would love to hear your thoughts or recommendations in the comments below.

See you next Wednesday!

All our love,
Danny & Tulu
