Today I'm privileged to share with you the Finland I got to experience. I've witnessed the diversity and immense beauty of this land from the very north all the way to the southern parts, yet every time I set off I'm in awe. Finland never ceases to amaze me, and so, I’m truly honored and blessed to call this country my home.
This journey was more than a timelapse project. I could go on and on ecstatically about what I experienced during the 8500 kilometers on the road. As I carried the burden of impending schoolwork, I had to make the most out of my time, while fulfilling my dream. It meant that the three months spent with the project were momentous.
I’m thrilled to have experienced Finland's sublime nature on my travels, yet I'm also moved by being able to touch a great deal of people by doing what I love. I find their appraisal and kindness most humbling and rewarding.
I want to thank everyone from my family for playing their part in this project from the very first day I picked up this hobby till today. I’d also like to thank my relatives and friends, especially my cousin and colleague Niko Juntunen.

Hossa Timelapse is a timelapse project of Hossa National Park which I produced for Metsähallitus from 2016 June to 2017 June.
Hossa is Finland's 40th National Park. Situated in the borderland region of Kainuu and Koillismaa. Vast terrain and crystal clear water makes it a unique destination with long history between mankind and nature. I wanted to capture these elements in a timelapse film during four seasons to make justice to place I can now call home. More information on Hossa:

This summer I was determined to fulfill one of my projects what I've had in mind for a longer time, a timelapse project about my home region Kainuu, located in central Finland.
In four months of time I started my timelapse project at the first week of my summer holiday at my grandparents' summer cottage and that's were I came to end my final scene in one of the many coming frosty autumn nights. None of this wouldn't have been possible without the people who took part of the project in their own way. The same story goes on while exploring new locations here in Kainuu with people taking part in the adventure.

Northern Lights over Arctic Lapland, Finland - Timelapse Video
No single Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) photo does true justice to what is happening on the sky during those unique moments when Northern Lights appear. Frozen land of Arctic Lapland offers some great setting for capturing #NorthernLights - Aurora Borealis under snowy landscape, which is often difficult to find along the coast. Average temperatures around - 25C, with occasional -40C, dont make it particularly friendly experience, but the one which will always be treasured.

在剛剛的6月及7月，跟內子 前往瑞士蜜月旅行，遊走了伯恩高地、瓦萊州、聖莫尼茲、琉森 一帶，除了一般必到的景點外，還停留了三晚在山野上，湖裡的雪山、湖裡的金三角、無盡的星空，這些想看很久的景色都在阿爾卑斯山上一一看見。雖然這段影片不是甚麼大作，但分別記錄了兩次瑞士之旅的景色，日後也能好好回味，最後要感謝內子在旅途上的照顧與分擔，也希望大家喜歡！

What do you do for a living?

Maeslantkering 4K Timelapse. Closing and submerse of the Maeslant storm surge barrier
Saturday the 15th of September 2018, they closed the storm surge barrier for testing. Location: Hoek van Holland, near Rotterdam. the Netherlands. the Het Keringhuis Publiekscentrum Water
The lowest point in the Netherlands is 22.18 feet below sea-level. So we`re in a constant fight with to keep the water out.
Global warming is making it even harder, but we have some defence. This is the Maeslantkering. A gigantic storm surge barrier. One of largest moving structures on Earth. Each arm is the size of the Eiffel- tower and weigh 6,800 tonnes . Last Saturday they closed it for testing. Very impressive.

ARCTIC shows the freezing and at the same time the beautiful conditions that Finnish winter has to offer. I’ve never had the time to work on bigger projects during winter, so this film consists of different sequences filmed during current and last winter. The clips are filmed in: Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, Riisitunturi National Park, Kivesvaara and Paltaniemi.
